Due to being temporarily on crutches I had requested a room with a shower rather than a bath - the hotel went one step further and gave us an accessible room with a wet room which was fabulous. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and always warm - the toaster is the only hotel toaster I've ever come across where you didn't have to put the toast through more than once. Staff friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the bar one of the nights and it was really good and very reasonably priced

Not a criticism, but more for info - the hotel is on the outskirts of Stirling town (approx 2 miles out) but there's a bus stop just yards away that will get you into the town centre. Bannockburn experience and battlefield is literally next door and well recommended

Hotel actually nicer inside than out.Reception staff were OK but regret to inform you when going into restaurant for breakfast your suppose to clear it with the staff, who then had a attitude that we went and got our breakfast. She approached us with " what room are you your suppose to clear it with me" I replied but nobody told us.There was also 2prs of socks and a piece of wire on the shelves from previous guests

Breakfast was awful, tattie scones don't think we're even cooked, everything was just luke warm,I was so disappointed being scottish and staying in England was so looking forward to it.I would opt out of breakfast if I was to stay again

I spent two nights at King Robert. I travel for work. Thank you I had a Large room just like premier inn, but better because bed is bigger and more comfortable and TV is bigger with lots to choose from on tv Netflix, Now, YouTube, and more, I loved my room, walk in shower lovely bathroom. A central heating radiator all you have to do is turn it on, no need for complicated fannying around with thermostats. lovely staff Gorgeous, Thank you my darlings. Free parking. Free wifi. Friendly. welcoming. The staff made me feel welcome. There is no hidden agenda with staff, they are genuinely approachable friendly pure Scottish professionals including the young men at the bar and sorting the doors, they will look after you. I didn’t use the Resturant or bar on this visit because I’m on special diet, (it’s not the Hilton) but it looked so welcoming and comfortable. There’s a pub and takeaways about a 10 min walk if you prefer. Now that I have experienced the King Robert Hotel for the first time and have felt a genuine Value directly from the Owners. I now have the King Robert as the first hotel before I consider anything else, don’t get me wrong, I work and travel around Scotland for a living and I’m always searching for a room with an e suite with internet connection for £50-£55 bucks room only, and managed to get this hotel for £107 for two nights room only. Special thanks to owner, you have committed to me as a customer and I have recognised your value so you have my commitment in return. Thank you.

Nothing noted, apart from the keycard not working sometimes.

Huge room with an equally huge bathroom - the latter was much appreciated. Very clean and bright. Room was quite hot, but a fan was provided and we could open the windows. Breakfast was buffet-style, so you can take as much or as little as you want. There was entertainment on our first night which was a pleasant surprise, and there was a fully stocked bar. The hotel is right next door to Bannockburn, so we looked out our window right onto the field. Getting a bus to the accommodation was a bit tricky, but there was plenty of parking so if we came again we'd probably bring a car. Staff were lovely and the other guests were also very friendly!

We booked a twin, but got a double. We didn't mind, as it was actually two singles stuck together and was pretty huge, but it might be worthwhile clarifying at reception before you go to the room. It's a fair distance, and after walking all the way we weren't bothered enough to go back. (Not an issue with the hotel at all, more of a hint - I'm sure they would have moved us or sent someone to alter the bed if we'd asked.) The first thing we did when we came into the room was to look for the biscuits, but there weren't any. The lock on the door was a bit tricky and it took some skill to get the card to register.

Good sized room with a view of the park. Plenty of off-road parking. Good on-site restaurant and breakfast although I had to leave early so I didn't have the cooked breakfast. Helpful staff sorted out the problem of unsupervised teenage boys in the corridor outside my room.

Initially the receptionist couldn't find my booking. I had confirmed online. Once they did they were friendly and helpful. Some guests were teenage boys part of a boxing club who were not fully supervised by their responsible adults. They were messing about in the corridor. I needed to go to reception to sort this out.

Stayed the one night as planned. Booked a Superior Room with park view. Let me get the bad things out the way first. 1. From my room I wouldn't say there was a Park View. Only a line of trees. 2. The TV reception was very poor. Hardly any of the channels where watchable. That's it for the bad parts. To be fair neither bothered us that much. The receptionist was pleasant, checking in was faultless. If I was picky I'd say that I'd rather pay for my stay at the end rather than before I had even seen my room. The room was clean and modern. The bed was massive. Would have liked two arm chairs and a bigger table in the room instead of one arm chair and a small table. The en-suite was tidy and clean and modern. Picky again but I like a toilet brush next to the toilet. Booked evening meal for 6.30pm. Met at restaurant entrance and shown to our table. Good sized menu. Plenty to choose from. We had for starters a prawn cocktail and a brucheta. Both beautifully presented and very tasty. Main course we chose, Steak Pie and Sirloin Steak covered in bbq sauce and grilled cheese. Nothing left on the plate at the end shows a good sign that we enjoyed our meal. Our waitress, Tracey, was very nice. Good for a chat and making us feel welcome. Slept great, bed was comfortable and pillows where firm. Booked breakfast for 9am. Breakfast was self service. Fantastic choice from toast, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt and of course full English breakfast. Fresh coffee and tea and fruit juices. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. After breakfast we packed the car, checked out and walked around the corner to visit the King Robert monument. Out of 10 I'd give the hotel 9.5/10 (if the tv worked better I'd have given 10/10) I did report the TV to reception on checking out. Will we return to this hotel? Yes definitely, we're already looking at the dates for our next visit.

Just me being picky. We enjoyed our stay.

Location, the room was very comfortable and finished to a high standard and the bathroom was large and luxurious, I had a very comfortable one night stay .

As a solo traveller finding out where to park my rental car was impossible as there was nowhere to temporarily park the car so that I could go to the checkin counter and find out where to park the car overnight . This resulted in having to park some distance away in a shopping centre carpark and then walking with heavy bags etc back to the hotel. The subsequent overnight parking fee in the shopping centre was very expensive as after a long day of driving I couldn’t waste anymore time stuffing around with car parking.

Paid £7.50 per dog (2) personally I think if a hotel is dog friendly, you shouldn't need to pay.

The staff at this hotel are excellent, so friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The best customer service we have experienced in a long time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was nothing short of outstanding, especially the dinner menu. We would definitely make the long journey back to the hotel just for the dinner menu. Compliments to the chef! The bed was huge and very comfortable and great wee outdoor areas/beer gardens to enjoy. It was also great to see it was a dog friendly hotel.

The only thing we had a problem with was the heat in the bedroom. It was very uncomfortably warm even with the window wide open and the radiators off. Being an upstairs bedroom you only have the small opening at the top of the window where as down stairs bedrooms you can open the window fully. We had to keep going outside to cool down. We didn’t have the best nights sleep on the first night due to the room being far too warm. On the second night we did manage to get a fan from reception which helped us get a better nights sleep. Air conditioning or fans within the rooms would definitely help.
