Hillhead Farm Lets

Everything! checking in very easy, was pleasently met by the owner alasdair. Easy access to property, good transport, good taxis, pirn hall inn on doorstep for breakfast & all day food. exceptionally clean, tea, coffee & everything that goes with that provided daily, including biscuits & tunnocks 😁 shower powerful with constant running hot water. Debbie, the cleaner came every day, fresh towels & toiletries provided, great lass! antibacterial hand-wash on entrance. easy walking and exceptional views in every direction, great for dog walkers or cycling, our collies loved the fuss too 🐶🐶 Really couldn't fault it, so much so that it's a struggle trying to rebook..understandable. Value for money without a doubt 👌

Spacious room with comfy bed and en-suite bathroom. We very much enjoyed having a work desk in the room and the tea station (always appreciated). The location is remote and quiet - we were slightly concerned about the construction works right next to the property, but didn't hear any of its noise. No issues with parking at all. There is a restaurant across the road which we didn't try but it's great to have the food option nearby despite the somewhat rural location. The host is very lovely and helpful!

Everything was good, one small tip - make sure you pay attention to the "how to find us" instructions which will be sent prior to your arrival. I didn't do that because we had been on the road for a few days and we were a bit confused when we arrived - the property is not visible from the main road and the SatNav only too us to the start of the street where the property is located, you have to drive a bit further down before you see a Hillhead Farm Lets banner.

Hillhead Farm Lets are definitely a hidden gem. The location is ideal for traveling and sightseeing. We arrived and were immediately greeted by Elaine with a big smile, and she had ensured that we had secured and safe parking for our motorbikes. So grateful. The view of the accomadations gardens in the front of the establishment, well it was absolutely gorgeous with the beautiful scents of the sweetpeas wafting through the air. A delightful sight to be greeted by. We were further impressed by the room. It had beautiful decor and was very clean and organised. The bathroom facilities were lovely and all we needed. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean and fresh. I did have to make arrangements for a second pillow to sleep with, but I know if I had asked Elaine she would have certainly provided additional pillows, but it was too late in the evening to be disturbing her. We got a wonderful nights rest and were well rested for our continued journey the next day, including Battle of Bannockburn and Wallace Monument. Coffee and tea facilities are provided in the room with some delicious biscuits.

I did battle to get a through breeze without having to open the door fully, allowing for all and sundry to see into our room, so maybe a little fan for those of us who suffer with 'heat' would be fabulous. Other than that, we cant think of anything we didn't like about the accomodation, service, facilities and location.

Was a beautiful place to stay, very clean, very comfortable, very calm and quiet! Was almost next door to the event we were attending! The personal touch of the owner greeting me by my name and shaking my hand was something I have never experienced before and to me that was a very personal level of customer service that was appreciated.

Was a bit out the way of shops, takeaways etc, shower was temperamental but was only a short stay so managed to work around it. The taxi numbers reccomended either didnt work or couldn't accommodate us when needed even though we tried booking in advance.

The accommodation is located just outside Stirling (with excellent parking space for all guests) in a very tranquil area. Lovely garden outside with sitting area. Spacious bathroom (compared to other B&B we stayed in Scotland) and much appreciated tea & coffee facilities (and hairdryer). We booked a triple room that was exactly as advertised. 15/20 minutes away from Midhope Castle and Hopetoun House (for Outlander fans) and just 30 minutes from Edinburgh airport.

There was no breakfast it was room only, but we just had a short walk to the brewers fare which was value for money. We were out most of the day, every day, so we were glad to get back to a clean room with a good comfortable bed and the fact that they supplied plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits was just the thing before bed, over all we had a really good stay.

A beautiful family room and view of pretty flowers from our cottage-style window. I really loved arriving at our room every single time and felt so comfortable there - a very peaceful atmosphere :)

Nothing I didn’t like, it was perfect for our 2 night stay. Communication with staff was excellent and everyone we spoke to, including other guests, were all lovely. Doggies were welcome too, I wish I’d realised this beforehand otherwise we’d have brought ours with us. I would highly recommend this property :)

This was one of my favourite stopovers of my 10 day tour of Scotland. Easily accessible by public transport if necessary. The accomodation was a very comfortable chalet type room with it's own garden which is especially for the guests. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and warm and the en suite was lovely. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place.

The garden was pretty and welcoming as you arrived. Nice quiet location. Brewers Fayre just across the road. Good value for money.

Bed was a bit hard for me. Only one pillow allocated per person on the beds and duvet was too small for the bed size. Also problems with the Internet connection on the TV. Netflix wouldn't work in the evening but had worked earlier.

It's a simple but cozy room. The beds were comfortable, and the shower too. There are heaters inside. It's in a cute place, and there's a restaurant across the street. The host is very friendly and we felt safe there.

It's on the highway, so I missed having shops around, but it didn't spoil our stay, because we had a car. We also missed having a small fridge and a few dishes to eat the snacks we brought with us. It's good value for money, though.
