Very comfortable beds. Quiet room. No issues with the pub below - could not hear anything at night. Staff very helpful.

Re-issuing of toilet paper would have been good. Not much fun to run out at midnight and find no spare roll! Dreadful thing to be mean/neglectful with. The lift is new and fine, but we got stuck in the lift twice when it hit the ground floor. Not such an issue for us, as my husband forced the door open with an almighty push, but had I been alone, or if a child is alone in the lift, it might be a different outcome. We did notify staff.

Good for travelling around central Scotland,it was the centre of many various tourist sites. Most people are friendly and helpful if you need information.

The changes to booking in at the hotel the changes are not clear, and it can be a bit confusing, for myself I was not aware that the hotel takes the money out of your account before you even arrive at the venue due to this my account was restricted and I was unable to access it. This was disappointing as I use this place as it is like home to me I grew up around the area and always look forward to going there.

The hotel is obviously attached to a Wetherspoons pub. Great staff, central location and the food was excellent; both Dinner and breakfast. All staff who I met were really happy and friendly. I parked my Motorbike in the car park overnight. Safe as houses. The regulars are friendly and eager to help out strangers. There's a great selection of ales and malt whisky's in the bar. Highly recommended. The room was fantastic. Massive double bed and everything else you want from an hotel. TV, coffee, tea, ironing board, iron, hair dryer. I'll be back. Thanks to all the staff who dealt with me.

Conveniently located close to where I was working, the room was clean and comfortable, and the bar was exactly what you'd expect from Spoons. Breakfast was pretty good too, and brilliant value for money. I would use again.

Nothing disliked particularly, and I'm not normally a "lover" of Spoons. The Goldem Acorn done well!!!!! (However, the parking is a little limited if you get there late, so be aware of that, however there is lots of alternative parking available next door for a nominal charge).

Overall a lovely place, staff were nice and accommodating. The parking was great and the hotel is close by a local shopping centre with loads of shops which is great if you forget to pack essentials. Would recommend to anyone visiting Glen Rothes. The fact the bar and restaurant was easily accessible through a door from the hotel means you can have a good meal and drink and head straight to your room for a nap. Despite being joined onto the bar there was no noise that could be heard when in the hotel. 100% would return!

The lift stopped working multiple times, this meant we had to use the stairs which was a struggle for my disabled mum as we were on the 2nd floor and there were alot of stairs but staff were on top of it calling to have it repaired ASAP.

Room was big , clean and ticked all the boxes. the bed was very comfortable , lovely pillows and linens. Hospitality tray was well stocked and the addition of oat milk was a bonus. Bathroom wS modern and vlean , lovely towels...nice to have BIG bath towels and shower gel and soap was nice to have too.

The shower... was a modern rainfall shower but not all women want to get their hsir wet every time they are in the shower ! A simple shwer cap supplied would help with this problem. OR.... a height changing shower head.

room was good, clean and airy. pretty quiet for a town centre hotel. staff were friendly.

lift didn't work, so room was obviously on highest floor! breakfast at the Weatherspoon's downstairs - poor service, had to go looking for my food as plate left sitting on someone else's table as they didn't appear to be bothered to look and find where i was sitting. Didn't have time to ask for a fresh plate so ended up eating cold food.

Our stay was in general very good. The room was nice and spacious and clean. The restaurant/bar downstairs made our stay absolutely worth it. Fantastic food and prices which you have to visit! So all in all a good place to stay.

The room had awful smell from the toilet the first night, the second night it was gone. There's also no Aircon, but the windows do open. The shower messes water all over the floor.

The rooms were nice, felt clean . Staff were friendly getting checked in and in the restaurant. Restaurant/bar was decent, spoons is spoons you know what you're getting :)

At the time the keycard scanner to get you back inside was broken, though the receptionist said it was to be fixed imminently so just bad timing! TV signal was a bit patchy at times but probably more likely from the weather rather than the hotel at fault!

Comfy firm bed, reception check in lady was superb. Room spacious bright and airy.

My only fault would be the shower curtain over the bath, which due to rail and ceiling fixing could not be moved to make clear and easy exit out of bath/shower. May cause a fall hassard if any limbs got caught when stepping over bath edge. (Wet bodies can easily stick to shower curtains)
