A beautiful old pub with a great bar and outdoor space. We arrived to find oysters and English sparkling wine available in the bar! What a great start to our mini break. The staff were very friendly and professional and have a great vision and enthusiasm for the pub and restaurant.
The bedrooms are still a little dated but part of the owners planned improvement plans

very attractive pub with a great ambience in the bar and a very attractive outdoor area over looking the common the manager was very friendly and knowledgeable and on arrival oysters and English sparkling wine where available at the bar. wonderful start to our stay.

The Silver Cup is right in town, so cute, the staff were so accommodating and friendly and whilst we unfortunately did not eat there we would have cleared the menu out- it looked so good! The one thing that melted my heart was being handed a wee jug of fresh milk for tea as we went into the room, how lovely!
There was honestly nothing I could fault, it’s a old building so you may have a wee fiddle about with keys in doors but if that is the worst thing then that tells you enough!

Excellent location within walking distance of all Haroend’s shops and restaurants. Only a short walk to The train station or a 5-minute cab. Comfy bed and good shower pressure; friendly staff.
No breakfast and pub not serving evening meal when I stayed.

Travelling for work I needed to be in this area overnight and this was a perfect fit. Good ale in the pub. Unfortunately, I didn't have chance to try the food-which other punters assured me is excellent.
