Holiday Inn Express London Luton Airport, an IHG Hotel

Big bed, wide rooms, just 8 minutes of walking foot from the airport.

The breakfast is only until 9:00 … because it’s an airport hotel, I think that it is logical to extend the breakfast hours, or even to offer replacement of the breakfast for those who arrive to the hotel in the middle of the night. Another thing that bothered me, was that on 9:30 in the morning, the cleaning lady knocked on the door several times, and even tried to open it, while we were sleeping, after a long flight. 09:30 in the morning, in airport hotel, is not a normal time to clean the room…. Another thing to pay attention to, is that you can only pay with card, no cash at all.

The room had enough space for us and our luggage, the beds were very comfy and the room was clean. It was close enough to walk to the airport and the room was nice and quiet. Clean bathroom with fluffy towels. There was a restaurant which provided evening food and breakfast was included, there were takeaway bags and coffee cups to grab a few bits for extra early starts. The staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Would stay here if travelling from this airport again.

There was a screen between the toilet and shower which was a little strange, the door to the bathroom served as a door for the toilet as well, but not a huge problem if you just used it as a bathroom door only. Some nicer toiletries would have been nice for the price.

fantastic soundproofing of the room (no traffic nosie and hardly any of departuring planes despite busy road just few meters from window) - double windows do the job perfectly - big thumbs up; nice armchair and table, many electrical sockets to choose between, clean, comfy bed, ambient light in bathroom, early breakfast: two coffee machines + selection of fruits and breakfast cereal and juices + take away bags

staying two weeks ago in other Holiday Inn just 200m away - and comparing to room 150 only: 1 - rattling fan in air con unit - it’s better to keep it off 2 - air con panel - really long in teeth 3 - bathroom decor and shower - sort of travel back in time (don’t take me wrong - it’s clean and does the job well- just comparing to more modern bathroom with walk-in shower in other HI hotel) 4 - coffee machines (both) - taste of coffee very sour - ? need maintenance ?

Very clean hotel. Somebody really cares about the clients. all details were considered. when we arrived the AC was on waiting for us which was great to see. everything was spotless. Reception very helpfull. very nice athmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic. I did not expect that breakfast for the money we paid. Definatelly the hotel excedeed our expectations. Bathroom- great. everything clean and bright. impressed!! well done guys. Stuff brilliant. Great team all over the hotel. I won't mention everything I liked here, but there is even an ironing machin in the room.

We could not eat in the hotel in the afternoon there because I did not want to pay by card. And hotel only accepts cards. I was leaving UK in few hours and still had over 100 pounds with me cash so I wanted to use them instead of taking from my card. So unfortunately, although the menu was attractive, I prefered to eat in the airport and pay cash.

This is a very convenient hotel for the airport. Despite being so close to the main road to the airport and the runway, the rooms are extremely well sound proofed. The room was a good size and had all the facilities I expected. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed on arrival in the UK and again before leaving. The main breakfast was good with plenty of choice. On our second stay our flight was early, so I was not expecting any breakfast to be available. However there was a cold selection which was fine for the early hours. There was also a good choice of food in the evening

Nothing really

This is a basic hotel, but it fulfills its purpose of being close to Luton airport, which is about an 8-minute walk away. The rooms were comfortable with a kettle to make tea or coffee. Soundproofing was necessary to be able to sleep despite the proximity of the access road to the airport and the airport itself. As we left at 4:30 in the morning, we didn't have the opportunity to have breakfast, but the hotel served a basic meal with coffee, juice, croissants, muffins and fruit that could be taken if you wanted. The employees were friendly and helpful.

I requested rooms not facing the road but my request was not granted.

I loved the hotel was so close to the airport, so I was in walking distance when getting back at 2am in the morning. The man on reception was very good and made us feel welcome. The room was spotless and glad we had aircon and everything was great for a few hours stay, only issue I have was at breakfast there wasn't alot left but that's our fault as didn't get down until late. Found it strange breakfast was only until 9.30am at the weekend as other hotels is usually until 11am on a weekend. Apart from that all was good

They windows were not very good, so I heard everything on the main road, and of course, the planes

Our room was quite close to the restaurant of the hotel which was quite handy and the breakfast was excellent, especially with the variety to choose from and good atmosphere. We walked from the airport to the hotel so saved paying for travel to get there so with the hotel being so close to the airport, it’s a good location. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and professional with every query we had and information we needed.

It’s hard to provide what we didn’t like as we enjoyed our stay. Odd bit of noise as it is beside an airport.

After reading some reviews online, I was a bit dubious about staying here tbh. Our flight landed at 21.45 and we were in the hotel by 22.15. The hotel is literally a 5 - 8 min walk from the airport with a very well lit and safe footpath all the way. Breakfast the next morning was more than adequate, lots of choice between hot and cold foods. The 2nd morning we were leaving the hotel at 04.00, there was a grab and go breakfast available, which was perfect. Had no issues with the room, it had everything we needed. I would have no problem staying here again, mainly for it's closeness to the airport and it's easy accessibility to London. We just walked back to the airport and hopped on a train, and were in London - St Pancreas station, in 45 mins.

Virtually everything was great. Full size pillows and double duvets on twin beds I appreciated. They were quite thick (high tog) for getting into May/summer time. Would rather be snug than cold though. Shower was great size even the for likes of my brother and I who are both over 6' tall. Basic soap, shampoo and hand wash was available which I liked and was all I needed or would want.

Would have been nice if breakfast was served until 11am or even midday as my brother and I did want to lie in somewhat on our final day of travelling, as our bus to our next stop wasn't until gone 1pm. Also I did ask about getting the largest towels that were available, I was told they are given as standard (1 large, 1 small per person). But I would appreciate some jumbo/XL towels as it's always nice drying yourself in that than smaller towels. I would happily pay a bit more to get access to an XL towel.
