Location easily reached by car and very convenient for getting to Harrogate showground or Harrogate town centre. Spacious room and bathroom. Comfy bed and pillows. Reasonable room rate for the area in comparison to Harrogate town centre. Nice bar and lounge area to pass the evening hours away.

Price of a pint of Coke appeared to be the same or close to a pint of cider which seems excessive. Booking.com advertised the booking as including continental breakfast, however, the breakfast receptionist advised that we would have to pay £10 per person for a continental breakfast as we had not booked direct with the venue. When we saw the choices for the continental breakfast, we felt it was sadly lacking in choice and we felt overpriced for what was being offered, so we elected to have breakfast elsewhere.

Easy to find. Quiet location. Staff welcoming. Light and airy public areas. Comfortable (though small) bedroom. Very comfortable bed. Dinner was delicious and continental breakfast had a very good selection of fruit juices, fruit and yoghurts, croissants, cold meats and cheese, and toast (if you’d still got room). Staff were obliging and helpful - nothing we requested was too much trouble.

It was very hot and although there was a fan in the room, it would have been nice to have a sheet as an option to use rather than a heavy duvet.

Location is good and great for a stop on your way north, not being too far from the motorway. Very comfortable beds and room has everything you need. Despite having a roadside room it was very quiet. Breakfast was good, with a good continental choice and cereals. We had a meal on arrival, which was very good.

The only negative I had was that there were other very noisy guests on the night we stayed. In and out of their room and up and down the stairs being loud until about 4am. Unfortunately as no staff are on site overnight, not much can be done in this situation.

2 stand out points to mention- on check in the helpful and friendly man with the beard offered to help take my bags to my room which was really nice of him (the first place to do this in 4 weeks of business travel around the UK). Secondly, a very nice touch to provide some lovely ground filter coffee in the room, both regular and decaf, haven't seen this anywhere else. Spofforth is a lovely little place, full of character with its very own medieval castle. I look forward to returning. The evening meal (cod loin) and breakfast were both very good and there are some great local beers to try also.

Can't think of anything major although the area after the door from the bar area to the rooms (before the stairs) could do with smartening up a bit.

Reception friendly, speedy and relaxed. Rooms sumptuous, En Suite fabulous, hot water unbeleivably instant, towels soft, bed softer. Check out quick and relaxed. Breakfast Reasonable buffet of choices, toaster coffee on tap all food fresh. Nice atmospheric covered courtyard restaurant withe separate bar All spotlessly clean with attentive friendly staff.

No Single rooms, price was fine but seems a waste of laundry to put singles into king size doulble beds, but hey that's not much of a beef as we didn't sleep badly haveing all that bed to ourselves! Restaurant bill was a bit of an eye-opener but the prices were on the menu so it's our fau;lt the staff make it so easy to order another round and the surroundings relaxed one to the point of why not spoil yourself?!! But beware Breakfast is extra and £10 for a bowl of cornflakes and a coffee is a bit steep, though one could have gorged oneself on everything from the buffet for the same fixed fee. Food doubled the accomodation bill for four of us so the competitive room rate was soon trashed by the restaurant bill.

The room was lovely, looked very clean the bed was really comfortable, staff really friendly and helpful. The food was nice and enjoyed a few cocktails that were very nice

I thought The cost of drinks and food were a bit steep and breakfast was at an additional cost which we decided not to have. Didn’t realise when booking that this is the only pub in the area so rang for a taxi to take us into wetherby but was quoted £20 so decided not to bother! The pub is dog friendly but when booking I didn’t realise the hotel was too, everyone we met that were staying had dogs. My husband is a massive dog lover but is unfortunately allergic so in the early hours started sneezing, getting bunged up and had a tight chest

Lovely Inn, great rooms which were spotless. Staff really friendly and professional. Restaurant has a good selection of food, 3 of us ate there on 2 evenings and everything was lovely.

Stayed in the Scarborough room, really hot on first night and supplied fan could not cope. Kept blind down during the day the next day which really helped so advice is keep it down during sunny days.

The whole place was very beautifully decorated and furnished artistically and creatively. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The corridor to our bedroom had pictures on the wall of local attractions together with their postcodes so you could find your way to them if you wanted to. Breakfast was continental but a good variety available.

Only a minor point but from the checkin desk to our room we had to walk through a bar full of people with our suitcases. Difficult to see how that could be changed though.

The room was very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived too early to access our room but left our luggage which was in our room when we returned. The location was good as within minutes drive to the places we wanted to go to.

We had no biscuits in our room and didn’t know we needed to ask for milk. There were no facial tissues. The bathroom was lovely but when we used the shower the floor got very wet.

Room was gorgeous, clean. Staff were really helpful, kind and could not do enough especially the evening staff and all whilst catering for a birthday party and christening. Big shout out to Emanuel for going above and beyond!

Morning staff and breakfast. We came down at 9.35 and he said he was tidying breakfast away in five minutes despite it being served until 10. There wasn't much there, one crossant left.
