Days Inn Wetherby

Brilliant location for my journey. Very nice bar area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking. The room was clean with twin beds as requested. Spotless bathroom with gorgeous walk in shower with hand wash and shower gel. The Continental Buffet Breakfast was lovely. The helpful lady behind reception filled our reusable water bottles for our onward journey, but there is an M&S five minutes away at the services for stocking up on supplies. Will definitely stay again when travelling that way.

We booked this literally as a bed for the night as we were attending a wedding nearby. I booked it for me and our friends. My friend arrived before me and messaged to say you’ve booked us in at a service station and thought I’d lost the plot. Well I needn’t of panic’d! The hotel was easily accessible, the room was spot on, a modern shower room, really comfy bed and clean. For what we paid, it was an absolute bargain and a fab location for getting food quick with the shops literally on your doorstep. Don’t be expecting luxury but it’s a lovely hotel with really polite staff, comfy rooms and a great location.

One of the standout features was definitely the location - the hotel is conveniently situated at a service station right off the highway, which made it easy to get around and explore the surrounding area. The nearby supermarket was a great bonus too, as it made it easy to stock up on essentials during my stay. Aside from the fantastic location, I was also very impressed by the value for money offered by this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed, and I felt that I got great value for my money. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience.

Exceeded my expectations as I did not have high hopes for a hotel in a motorway service area. However parking was free and easy, the room was modern, clean and comfortable, and location was very convenient to Wetherby racecourse. It was also very quiet in the room. There were all the usual suspects for food at the service area but a 5 minute drive took us to a beautiful country pub for dinner. Breakfast was a surprise too as we hadn't realised it was an option. 8 pounds for a continental buffet with juices, cereal, croissants,etc and very decent coffee from a machine, all without having to leave the foyer. (or queue up at Greggs!)

The room was very hot when we arrived and the windows only opened a fraction. No air conditioning, but that's English hotels for you!

Room was as described - a perfectly pleasant motel room. It was a reasonable size. The double glazing was effective as I heard very little noise from the A1M going past. The hotel offered breakfast, but as this was not included in my room rate I bought my breakfast from Greggs which is next door in the Moto services. It was easy to find and there was more than enough parking. Overall it offered what I needed, which was a reasonably comfortable, safe place to sleep while in the area over the weekend.

I thought the room was expensive for a motel room at a service station, but I guess this is because of the proximity of Wetherby racecourse. Having checked locally, it was the least expensive option for the location I needed, but I would not describe it as cheap.

The room was very comfortable and clean with a good sized wall mounted TV, a kettle along with a good supply of tea, coffee, milk and sugar (brown and white) were provided. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was better than the one i have at home. Lovely clean soft and fluffy towels were supplied and the bed linen was also spotlessly clean and fresh and extra pillows available upon request. Every member of the hotel staff were friendly and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the whole team there are wonderful. One of the best hotels i have ever stayed in.

There was nothing i didn't like but would forward a suggestion of having a toilet brush in the bathrooms as this was the only thing in my opinion that was missing.

I only paid £63 for a night here and it was superb value! The staff took my registration number when we entered so parking was free the entire stay. The room was superb for the money! A big flat screen TV that allowed you to cast your phone apps to it allowed me to watch my own TV apps in bed. The rooms are modern and fresh but ours was very warm so we had to have the window open which meant a lot of motorway noise. However when closed you almost couldn't hear the motorway so the double glazing is superb. The curtains are back out and blocked all light which is perfect. There was free fast wifi available too. All in all this was amazing value, a great location and the rooms were a very good quality for the money. Would definitely stay here again.

Only a couple of little things let it down a little. There is no slow close toilet lid which is a must in a hotel. There were plenty of plugs available but zero USB outlets. They don't cost much but make it much easier to charge your devices. I ended up going to the local shop to pick up a USB charger - didn't bring mine because you kind of expect USB outlets to be available nowadays.

Location was perfect for what we needed. Half way between London and Edinburgh. Staff at check in and check out were super efficient and helped us get to our rooms right away (which was very helpful as it was after midnight when we got there). The facilities were new and clean looking.

The beds weren't the most comfortable, but were fine. The rooms didn't have any air conditioning. We'd stayed at a few premier inns for cheaper, that had AC that week. So it was a little strange given the price, and how new the building was.

Breakfast was as expected.

Train your staff not to be rude and to check things before confronting customers as to whether breakfast was included. My client whom I had booked the room for including the breakfast was confronted and accused of not having breakfast paid for. This as you can imagine became an embarrassing situation for both myself and my client, when they had to phone myself to request the booking information to prove to the server that it had been paid for. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Helpful and friendly staff, with windows shut it's pretty sound proof and you don't hear the motorway. Rooms are comfortable with everything you need, clean fresh towels and beds quite comfortable. Great price and convenient location.

The sofa bed when made up sticks out and stubbed my toe a couple of times, hard to remember it's not a bed and to look out for that! More me being uncoordinated than a problem with the sofa bed but something to look out for if you're clumsy like me!
