Wood Hall Hotel & Spa

The setting of the hotel was beautiful The room was huge and well furnished with all the extras you would love to have for a comfortable stay. We ate in the bar and the range of food was excellent and the quality out of this world.. Breakfast offered a massive choice and the staff could not do enough to make you feel really special. The attention to detail was amazing.

It sounds cheesy but there was nothing that we didn't like The hotel and spa met all our expectations if I could change one thing i would say the upstairs was warm Ididnt feel uncomfortable but could be a little cooler

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really made that extra effort with all guests. We ended up changing room from a twin to a double which they were great with - sorted within minutes of us asking. On arrival, we were picked up from the airport and brought to the hotel. Then give recommendations for restaurants, shopping and tailors. The dining area and bar area was lovely as it opened up to the fantastic pool. Happy hour was at 4 and they make great cocktails. The room had a lovely balcony and was very clean and spacious. AC worked perfectly in our room and there was a big bath in the room along with a separate shower. The Cleaning staff were great and blitzed the room each day. Breakfast was very good. The location was good- it’s about a 15/20 minute walk into old town but they also lend you bikes if you like. We just walked. We enjoyed the walk there and back though pre and post meals. Although definitely more than 10 mins.

Nothing to flag here. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying here when we’re in Hoi An again.

The choice of breakfast was perfect. From a full English to pastries. The food and presentation was excellent.

This sounds picky however, this was an unexpected last min booking whilst travelling and we hadn't packed toothpaste. In the room they provided mini toiletries which were great....but no toothpaste. Its definitely not a game changer as its my fault we hadn't packed so went out to buy some but it would have been helpful if they'd have provided a mini toothpaste too.

Breakfast was superb, a great selection and all fresh! The colleagues front of house were exceptional, Richard went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. SPA facilites were very good, lovely pool and great gym.

A colleague in the SPA area was cold and did not interact with my wife and children which I found disappointing, even when a comment of thank you was directed directly towards her from a 6 year old.

The staff was excellent from the time we arrived until check out, everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist. Both dinner and breakfast was excellent, enjoyed talking with the staff. Room was very nice, the location had an ideal view. Nice grounds for a stroll prior to dinner. Very quiet setting.

Everything was excellent.

This hotel is run to a very high standard and I felt the visit was something very special as I had hoped. Unfortunately they could not serve dinner there due to Covid issues but the pub at the end of the road was excellent. I hope to return when dinner is fully operational as I am sure it would be great.

I felt that when a function is running it should be clearer where hotel residents should park and how to access their rooms. A blunt 'car park shut' sign could have been more helpful. If there had been a dedicated car park for residents with a good surface over which to wheel a suitcase it would have been better. However I have to say staff were very helpful with carrying my suitcase to my car. The car charging terminal is a type I have found unreliable and although an owner I spoke to got a good charge with their system mine cut out immediately after starting so I went to a more reliable site near York.

The hotel was in the most beautiful of settings. Rolling fields all around. The staff where extremely poliet and helpful, nothing was to much to ask and they looked after us so well. They answered all our questions. Our room was beautiful, clean and cool thanks to the air con which was needed over this heatwave weekend. The food was also lovely.

Beautiful peaceful surroundings, friendly welcoming staff. Nice big room with a great view, we were in the Chestnut room. Lovely Spa and gym facilities. Excellent breakfast.

Not alot really, if I had to say something negative I would have liked a King bed.

The food (evening meal and breakfast) were exceptional! Lovely relaxed atmosphere around the hotel - beautiful setting!

The only minor detail would be the size of the changing room area in the spa. It was fine for us as there was only 2 of us in there showering and changing but if a couple of others had joined us it would have been very tight.

weren’t made to feel very welcome which we felt was due to being a very young couple in a place that is usually frequented by people significantly older than us. and the room itself didn’t warrant a £275 per night price.
