Location was brilliant without it being too loud. Room was of a decent size and we went when the weather was bloody cold and the whole building was nice and warm. The shower was really good.

The lack of door on the bathroom made it difficult to keep the romance alive the day after a night on the Guinness.

The room was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed having a balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information. Despite the fact there are a few bars nearby the hotel it didn't bother us too much.

I ordered an extra add on for my room for when we arrived and it was not set up when we arrived. I asked staff about it and was told it would be sorted the next day but wasn't. I had to ask again before it was sorted out it was a small add on and I appriciate that it was sorted eventually. The only other issue we had was that the toilet roll in our room was not restocked and we had to go and find some.

The atmosphere of the place was amazing and I was well prepared for the minor noise disturbance from the trains and bars. In the end it was hardly noticeable. The room was comfy and warm and the balcony was nice. The shower was amazing! Really refreshing rain shower. I loved the toiletries as well. The vending machine was good and well stocked. I liked the security measures such as changing the door code each day and the staff were very friendly and cheerful. The cleaners were very diligent and kept the corridors and rooms spotless. I stayed for nearly a week and had no issues at all.

The rooms where so quirky! felt very comfortable with the hotel, we had the standard double with balcony and couldn’t fault it really! I booked the hotel for valentines and asked the hotel if they could put petals on the bed that was £10 but it was so worth it. it made the stay very special. The location was so ideal so many restaurants and your right in the middle of the city, everything we had planned was only a short distance walk. The hotel is next door to a nightclub and the train tracks however the noise was bearable we where not phased by it at all! we did stay Wednesday night so the night club wasn’t that busy. Everything else was just how we hoped it would go.

on booking.com it didnt say we had to pay a deposit of £50, I may of missed it on the website. the early check in was £20 extra and if you wanted to leave your bags at the hotel after checkout it’s an additional £5. However didn’t mind paying for this as we had to work around the times we got to the city when we arrived and leaving.

The location was GREAT for the scene it was a lil quiet due to the coronation bank holiday but that didn't stop us having a great time xx the staff were always smiling and friendly very helpful defo will stay again!! Be warned tho if ur a light sleeper then this is not for you the trains can be heard from ur bed and also the noise from the club down stairs can be heard but it does state that on the website xx

The stairs to the room was a bit of a killer for my knees but the beautiful room was worth the walk this WAS MY ONLY DISLIKE

The decor/style is exquisite. The wrought-iron items like the large mirror frame (which I can only guess have a history rescued from local ironworks) add a lot of charm. As do the original beams, wooden panels and open brickwork. There is a multitude of dimmer lighting throughout offering a variety of moods for your pleasure. The rooms are very spacious and the facilities have a very modern design with everything you need ie. hairdryer, iron and ironing board, complimentary items and additional chargeable items all available in the rooms. I really love this hotel.

Unfortunately, the location, which can't be helped is not ideal. So make sure you don't need an early night, because the club downstairs goes on until midnight on a week night and early hours of the morning at the weekend. Also it's directly next to a train track, so you have to deal with trains whizzing passed and the windows would need to be shut so this doesn't wake you up despite the fact that they supply you with ear plugs. However, you have to weigh this up against the beautifully, intimate atmosphere despite the noise and the dedication to the way the rooms are designed. And it is still possible to get a decent night's sleep...depending how much of a deep sleeper you are.

I loved the position and the staff were great. I liked that we got earplugs for the noise, but if you really want to sleep, you can, plus Netflix and YouTube were both free, so if you can't sleep, you can watch a movie so in my opinion everything was fantastic except few things but I don't think is a major thing.

I booked a Sister Act room and to be honest, the room was really comfy and nice. The only thing I'm really sensitive about the scent that was in that room I don't know how they clean the room. I'm not saying it was dirty, but there was some liquid behind the toilet seat that I think the cleaner forgot to clean and the fragrance in the room was too strong. I couldn't eat in that room because the room is small and the scent stays there for a long time.

The room was gorgeous! They have multiple lights all over the room including under the bed and along the walls in the bathroom. The room was big and had all the appliances we needed such as a hairdryer and iron. They also provided complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste.

The bed wasn't very comfy compared to other hotels and is probably the only reason I may not come to this hotel again. Also the fan provided hardly worked and could only be felt if right next to it. As this hotel is above a club it was very loud until around 1:30am so is not for people who want a quiet stay.

Location was fabulous, staff very friendly & helpful, rooms were adequate. Vending machines were also available in the hotel at a price. Overall, really good value for money, I would defonatelh stay again. Viaduct bar next door is amazing but if you want an early night, may not be the place for you. Ideal location from train station, bars and fast good very accessible.

Lots of building work going on so that was really noisy but not the fault of the hotel. Tea/coffee making facilities were at check in and not in the room so not ideal if you like a cuppa as soon as you wake.

it was so stylish and had a great feel of luxury about it. The location was great for a night out in the city centre. if your wanting a relaxing hotel this isn’t for you.

It is quite loud on an evening as you are literally on top of the bars below. But they do provide you with ear plugs. which worked a treat. we were bit disappointed that there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. As after a night out partying the last thing you want to to is get dressed to go downstairs into reception to get a cup of coffee. Part of the luxury of been in a hotel is having a chilled cuppa in bed before you start the day. If I was to describe briggate hotel it’s a very luxurious crash pad. Really trendy and current. But it is literally that just a crash pad.
