Spotlessly clean hotel in an extremely convenient location.

I love this hotel. It's welcoming, comfortable, right in the city centre, and the staff are great. Andrew on Reception is kind, helpful and lovely (as was Steven last time I stayed but I left it too late to leave a review), and the housekeeping staff made sure that I had everything I needed but were never obtrusive. It's clean, well-organised, and just feels like a very safe and friendly place to be. I visit Leeds several times a year and always try to book in here. It's not flashy or particularly smart - there are lots of other city-centre places you could go if you care about that - but it's very good. This is a proper hotel, where they actually care about the guests - and very good value too. I hesitate to write all this in case I can't get in next time, but this place really does deserve praise.

Great location. So near to Leeds train station so easy to get around. Staff were exceptional. Very attentive and show great customer service. Room was tidy, clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were no issues with the room. Actually the shower cubicle was spacious and pretty clean bathroom and toilet. Staff replenished clean towels every day, which was appreciated. Also tea, coffee etc was also made sure to be provided. Breakfast was continental. What was available was good and loved the breakfast area to sit at near the entrance.

Slightly noisy. Did expect that as was situated at the back if the hotel. Not an issue but others may find that too much.

overall property is very old worn out outdated carpets not in best shape worn & bed frames & bathrooms also old windows old sash style wooden , again all very old outdated small amounts of mold inside bottom of shower stall no air conditioning tv limited channels small screen continental breakfast very limited no fruit

The hotel is very central, close to the railway station, bus stops and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable, and as it faced the back of the building, it was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom (with bath/shower) was clean. Soap and body wash are provided, but shampoo isn't, so bring your own if you need it. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The reception looks a bit "bare", but don't be put off by that. I didn't avail of the continental breakfast, so can't comment on how good or bad it is. There are lots of eateries nearby if you want something substantial. The hotel accepts payment by card only - and this includes charges for incidentals, such as luggage storage (great value at £1 per bag), so make sure you have a payment card.

I was only there for one night, and there wasn't anything I didn't like about the hotel. It was just right for me.

Location cannot be beaten. Round corner from railway station and bars, restaurants and shops. Great value for money if booked in advance. I was there for a day at the cricket so booked a two night stay. Would have cost at least three times as much if booked on day. Staff friendly at check in and the whole process went smoothly. Breakfast options limited but to be honest for £5 you could get enough to set you up for a few hours. If you prefer a cooked breakfast then there are options within walking distance.

The toaster at breakfast was slow which led to a few queues. Creaky floorboards in room, not an issue for me but the room below may have suffered a touch. But of a smell from the drain in the basin but just shut the door. The building is actually two conjoined which leads to an unusual lay out and a bit of a trek but personally I feel this adds to the character. Poor view over the fire escape from the room but I have stayed here previously and had a room with street view last time. Nice to look out but street noise at night. Nice and quiet in this room.

The Discovery is ideal Location for Rail services also Bus services Ideal for shopping restaurants and Night life right in the city centre We had a large Double room and also a large bathroom with bath and over bath shower with good pressure and a good supply of hot water The decoration was very good in a neutral colour also in the landings and stairs I have stayed there before and never been disappointed The Buffet breakfast was Continental and plentiful with a good choice of cold meat or cheese or cereals as much toast tea coffee ie! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful

The only thing I could say that I didn't care for was the Toaster in the restaurant it was very slow and if the restaurant was busy ie week ends Friday Saturday There would be a long wait

Clean and tidy the staff were very helpful with my queries regarding my stay I was staying for 2 nights I had a little mix up when booking but when I got there on the Friday they told me that it had already been sorted and were very polite about it, this was my second time staying at discovery inn and I certainly will stay there again in fact I’m staying there again with my son 15th to 16th August and looking really forward to it, I would definitely recommend this a place to stay when coming to Leeds as it is very close to train station too 👍🏼🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Just no bath apart from that there isn’t anything

The room was in a great location, directly opposite the train station. The careless staff mistakenly gave me a king room when I checked in when we booked a twin room. But this does not affect its high cost performance. Breakfast is acceptable, although there is no hot food. The hotel area is quite large, if you are allocated in the new building you may have to walk a bit. But in general, the facilities are relatively new, especially considering its price is very cost-effective.

Wrong room assignment, need to take two elevators and walk through long and narrow corridors.no hot food for breakfast
