Crowne Plaza Leeds, an IHG Hotel

Visited the hotel as part of my birthday weekender with friends. Breakfast was very good - nice selection of hot and cold buffet, fruits, cereals and pastries. Good restuarant for lunch and dinner too. Restuarant staff, especially Gigie (front of house), were very kind and friendly. Swimming pool and gym were great, although showers ran out of bodywash and shampoo. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from station. Rooms are warm, well stocked and comfortable. Thanks Crowne Plaza Leeds!

rooms were beautiful. staff were lovely and all together everything was amazing, loved my stay.

we were told we got robes and slippers and we didn’t get any. it says room service food is 24 hours we rang at 3:30am (very late i understand) tried to order food but apparently only thing they serve at that time was sandwiches which was annoying. we ordered a pizza at 10:00pm the next day we waited 40 minutes and it was freezing when it came was not worth the money at all. it also mentions there is a spa, pool and gym. there isn’t a spa due to covid and they still haven’t opened it back up which they should have mentioned in the notes as we were planning on having a spa day. pool and gym was lovely though. over all lovely hotel would stay again.

We arrived early, but we needed to get ready for Leeds Festival. The reception staff were amazing and gave us a room to get ready while our room was ready! Especially Felicia our favourite reception girl :) The restaurant staff were just as amazing, happy, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us! The rooms were clean and tidy. The buffet and cooked breakfast were really nice. The hotel was undergoing some work, but this did not interfer with our stay. I stayed with 2 teenage daughters in a room with 2 large double beds. Coffee/tea water and biscuits were free in the room and more if you asked at reception. The location was perfect for Leeds centre and for us getting the festival bus. A very friendly lovely hotel :) but it was the staff that made our stay just that little bit better:)

Enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza Leeds. The reception staff in particular were friendly and professional; they had the ability to effortlessly establish the kind of rapport whereby it felt like I'd known them forever even though we just met. That is a rare quality that takes exceptional skill to effectuate. They also took delivery of an important package prior to my arrival and presented it to me on check-in, which I really appreciated. The rooms were quiet and clean and the beds comfortable - I slept soundly each night. Breakfast was always delicious and I also enjoyed using the gym and pool. Although not as close to the center of town as other hotels, it was only a short walk (10-15 minutes) to the major attractions and shopping areas. In fact, I felt the relative quietness and reduced traffic of the hotel's immediate surroundings was a positive.

The only minor quibble was that the gym was sometimes a little on the warm side and could have done with some air conditioning, especially after jogging a couple of km on the treadmill.

The rooms were well equipped and nicely furnished. The pool was big enough to swim short lengths and had lanes set up to separate those there for leisure & those wanting to exercise/swim lengths. Fab to have use of the steam & sauna rooms and the gym also. The restaurant had a nice ambience.

Room bathroom had no hand towel holder nor good access for child height to wash hands, use soap etc without adults helping them/lifting them up. The restaurant pricing was steep. The showers in the health suite were full of black mould, broken/loose tiles & had bottles missing (shower gel, shampoo etc), also nowhere to change privately other than in the wet showers. No toilet on ground floor for restaurant/bar users. You have to go upstairs.

Check-in ran smoothly and efficiently and we were pleased with our stay. The leisure area is lovely with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. Unfortunately the sauna was out of operation during our one night stay, and the jacuzzi on our arrival day, but working the morning after. Breakfast time was busy and we had a short wait, but the charming manager Nico kept calm and managed the situation with ease. A good tasty selection for breakfast, and pancakes made on request. One of my sons was ill the morning we were to leave, but the lady on reception allowed us to keep the room free of charge for 2 extra hours, which was very kind and helpful I thought. All staff were very friendly and courteous during our stay.

Just a shame about the sauna & jacuzzi, but sometimes these things can't be helped. If this is an important part of your stay, maybe call and check ahead of time to ensure everything is working.

Room was lovely... Reception staff and check in was great!

Some breakfast terrines were empty... Made breakfast very dry as no beans or tomatoes. Told staff but unfortunately came out after our breakfast was finished. Thought was expensive for not being able to have all items advertised. But would not put me off staying again .. just a blip I guess. Unfortunately the lift broke on check out so my husband had to struggle with the 5 flights of stairs. Bless him ( not good mobility as awaiting surgery on knee) again can't be helped these things happen. Would stop again.

The room was really big and comfortable, and over all well cleaned. The integrated breakfast was a sight to behold, with lots of different choices in what you wanted to eat, a real feast to the eyes. The staff were nice, honest, clear and professional.

The mens bathroom floor was quite sticky, so t'was pretty annoying to walk around in socks in the more public areas. The airco was set at 26 by default by the staff, which meant the room was a oven. The worst part was the fact that the room's small hallway was rather cold, the sleeping area was warm and near the window was like walking in a volcano.

The hotel was very pretty and very clean. The beds were comfy and the location was easy enough to get to with a 24 hour car park across the road. The breakfast was good too.

There wasn't many members of staff on we were waiting to be checked in for a while and to get seated at breakfast. Also our shower wasn't the easiest to work as the lever wasn't working, neither were some of the lamps in the room. There was also no ceiling light which wasn't ideal when you are trying to get ready to go out and the only bright light was in the bathroom.

Great location and with good facilities, but what made our stay really stand out are at the hotel staff. We had a small mixup/problem with a room service order which could have ended quite badly as we had a very hungry six year-old waiting on his dinner. However, due to the excellent customer-service, accountability and personal intervention, from the hotel manager (Nico) things were resolved quickly and with minimal fuss. Nico is a true asset to the hotel. All the the staff were fantastic, welcoming, professional and friendly. Special mention also to Patrice, on reception who was absolutely brilliant and super helpful. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Leeds.
