Novotel Leeds Centre

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the city centre.

I didn’t like the service at the Soap Factory. I ordered a beef burger, after 30 minutes I had not received it, I complained and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, waited for 10 minutes and then was told it would be ready in 5 minutes time and when I got the order it was not the right order. Then I had to leave and when I came back at the hotel later that day I asked for a refund. I got refund for the burger and the fries and some excuses from the staff. I didn’t get a refund for the drink I ordered which I would not have ordered except for ordering the burger.

Very friendly helpful staff, my room had double bed and a sofa bed made up for my daughter . Lovely clean bright room with everything we needed. Room service extremely quick and very reasonable price. Amazing breakfast options and the coffee was as good as any I’ve had . Would definitely stay again.

The cost of parking is £15 a night and you can’t pre book, as someone who is disabled I found this to be very expensive and not being able to book . Is not disability friendly . There were no spaces when I arrived, so they allowed us to park out the front of the hotel where I was still charged . I feel this is a lot of money and inconvenience , Especially for someone who has a disability . If they had not had a place to park out front I would have had to go looking for parking .

Location was absolutely perfect for access to the City of Leeds but also only 30-40 minutes on foot to Elland Road. Excellent. Breakfast superb value for money and first class fare. With one small exception the staff were absolutely 10/10. My room had everything and the bed and pillows were perfect and I slept like a baby.

The one small exception re staff was I observed the Chef one morning appeared to be quite rude and aggressive to a waitress in the breakfast area. I appreciate have no context at all and don't know the staff involved but as a customer I don't need to be privy to this sort of behaviour. Otherwise, the staff bent over backwards to help and we're the most professional I've experienced anywhere.

Well I clearly haven't stayed in a novotel for a while as I was so fantastically surprised! The room was a queen with sofa bed, very modern, plenty of mood lighting in the room. Plug sockets and USB chargers right by both sides of the bed. The bed and pillows were comfy. One particularly good thing I liked and I don't really know why, is the separate toilet! The bathroom was walk in with overhead powerful rain shower head, sink was big and the lighting was great for us girls to put our make up on.! Two mirror's, and an ironing board in the room. Now maybe this is normal now and I've stayed in and reviewed many hotels but I was just so impressed at the quality for the price. The bar stayed open until 1am for residents, it was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and funny. We didn't eat so can't comment but the menu looked impressive. Check in was quick and easy and delighted that checkout was 12 and not the standard 11am you seem to get these days.

Paying for parking, £15. Secure and underground but don't think guests should pay

Was very close to city center but not hard to get to via car. Everything we wanted to get to was a short 15 min walk away. Room was very big and comfy. Was very nice to have a fridge Staff were polite and helpful

The air con didnt get the room very cool and hindered my partners sleep. We werent sure if the water and milk in the fridge was free so clarification on that would be good. We felt the breakfast was expensive and went elsewhere and parking onsite (although good for location and security) i dont know how well it was monitored as there were cars parked in non parking areas marking it hard to move.

Lovely, modern, spacious room. Had booked the hotel mainly for its location and parking, and it was a real bonus that the hotel itself was so lovely. We enjoyed a post-dinner drink in the bar, which had reasonable prices and a very pleasant staff member. The underground parking was absolutely brilliant, as we were doing a student house move and needed to leave a lot of things in the car overnight. The location, being right in the city, was perfect. All in all, a rather stressful weekend was made much more pleasant by our stay at the Novotel, which felt like an oasis of calm. I would definitely stay there again.

The only issue was navigating to the hotel in the car, as the sat nav was struggling with all the city centre road works. However, this was hardly the hotel’s fault! It managed it in the end 😬.

The room was large and well equipped. the bed was so comfy. Great shower, seperate toilet which is ideal when there is two of you. Small fridge. Iron and ironing board. Me and my daughter were in Leeds going to the theatre so ideal walking distance to everywhere. Really friendly on reception, one of the members on the bar a young lad didnt look too happy though when he served me but hey ho. Will stay at this hotel again . The car park for this hotel was full which was a shame as we were guests and the car park next to it CitiPark was £30 for 24hours but hotel stay still worth a 10

Car Park. Only one way in and one way out and when it was full there was no mention of it on entry which was causing a bit of congestion on arrival

Needed a mini break, booked at short notice and I really appreciated the hotel being able to meet my accommodation requests. Central location near to the train station. Very good accommodation and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. Good range of food choices at breakfast. In addition to fruit juice the still water infused with slices of lemon and orange was a very welcome option. Staff on the reception desk, providing housekeeping service and on duty in the restaurant at breakfast were all very polite and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful restful stay.

Room was clean and spacious, very modern. Location was perfect. We chose this hotel for access to train station but ended up coming up on the coach , due to strikes. Returned on the train.Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Nice restaurant sitting area.Reception was helpful for arranging a taxi to pick us up for getting us to the emmerdale tour pick up point. Hotel had a hen party on the day we arrived, but then was quiet on the evening.

We chose to have a meal at the hotel on the last night, meal was disappointing, dry and poor .

The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly from start to finish. The receptionist woman was lovely throughout the night when I went down to ask for more milk she got me everything I needed. The room was clean and as a former Housekeeper I had to check the bits that I would of had to check and they were all clean which is rare at some hotels. Everything was great. Being as attentive as I am I noticed someone had spilt a previous hot drink near the bed and there was tea marks up the wall which could not be noticed without a bright light haha not like I went round inspecting it all much lol but it was easily missed and I wouldn't put it down as unclean at all. The room was spacious the bed was supppperrrrr comfy. The lighting was great and the air con was a bonus for these hot nights.
