Park Plaza Leeds

We got upgraded to a really nice room with a perfect view, everything was clean and tidy, staff was really pleasant. Hotel in a perfect location next to everything we planned to do during the day/night.

We paid for breakfast the next day. When we got our breakfast we both ordered poached eggs as it says to request after requesting them we dished up the rest of our breakfast and we was sat waiting for around 5 minutes waiting for our eggs. Our breakfast was cold the bacon was really hard and then we had to ask another 3 times for our eggs by the time we got them we had already ate our breakfast we waited around 10 minutes

The hotel is very central, 2 minuet walk from the train station! Ideal location for pubs and dinner places. The hotel is right next to a shopping centre if you fancy a wonder. The room was super clean and spacious, had an amazing bathroom with shower and bath. Staff were friendly and very helpful, They took our luggage on the last day which helped a lot. I would recommend this hotel and will be back.

I didn't like that the area around the hotel has a lot of road works going on and caused a lot of noise quite early on and till fairly late. I didn't like we were on the 18th floor which for someone who is scared of heights and doesn't like lifts was something I'd rather not do again.

Lovely hotel right bang in the middle of Leeds, 5 mins away from the railway St, and a stones throw from the Trinity. Lovely helpful staff, very clean.

You do have to wait for the lifts as there are 16 floors, so try to avoid busy periods, however there are stairs. Would come back again. There are 3 lifts to all floors.

The view was breathtaking from the 18th floor corner room and the staff were professional and helpful. The room was big, the bed was big (important for tall people) and comfortable. Our bathtub was a good size too and the Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch. We also had an iron and ironing board in our wardrobe and a spare hair dryer. We had our own thermostat and water pressure was great. The in house restaurant is delicious with a Latin/Asian inspired menu and the cocktail menu has a good choice of well prepared cocktails.

The decor in the room is a little tired with little scuffs here and there, a little rip in the carpet, old sealant on some fittings in the bathroom and there are no usb wall sockets for phone chargers. It could do with updating throughout. The room was generally very clean although the furniture hadn't been moved to clean behind it. We moved the couch to get a better look of the view and found an empty condom wrapper.

Staff were excellent from reception staff too the restaurant staff. Special thank you to the breakfast staff who were all so professional, cheerful and helpful. Special thank you to the girl who was helpful to my friend who is gluten and lactose intolerant. My friend was very impressed with her. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy, quality of the bedding and pillows were good. Location is great for train station and all shopping areas. We would decina stay again and would recommend.

A few housekeeping issues but nothing major - stains on the glass bed side table. Dirty showers doors, just that extra attention to detail needed. Especially as room checks are done by housekeeping supervisors after the housekeeping staff have cleaned. So nothing should be missed. My friend and and I have both worked in the industry and know how hard it can with with staff shortages etc.

The minor details in the room- old fashioned scales and telescope. The simple, elegant and traditional decor. The welcome extras- sweets and packs for kiddies, chocolates for us. Amazing room- 20th floor with excellent views. Excellent tasty and varied breakfast. And for us every member of staff was friendly, attentive and seemedbti gi above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable.

The only thing I would have preferred would be a detailed email about facilities, eg discounted car park as I couldn't find those details where I looked and went to a car park by a different company.

2 chairs in the room instead of one, lift rather slow as one not working, had to wait at check-in despite staff present who didn't seem busy

Park Plaza Perfect location for my stay as I recall stayed here previously many years ago. The hotel was just the same with high level of standards as it was back then. The staff were exceptional reception staff at the time of arrival was a gent and happy to help me with my bags to my room and anything else I would need for my stay. He ensured my stay was comfortable. A very hot weekend in Leeds and no way able to stay at home so appreciated the help to show me how to access the air conditioning and tv. Great to have a late check out, walk in shower and room was suitable for people with disabilities. I do have issues with my mobility use a walking stick. The lady at the breakfast room the next day was absolutely brilliant too, friendly, approachable and again assisting me with bringing items to my table as I struggled to walk with a stick and select my breakfast and carrying it to my table would have been difficult. I was told I will take care of this for you. Absolutely brilliant stay and I would definately recommend to people who have disabilities too as it’s easy access external and internal, pleasant stay and the staff go above and beyond to help the guest. Thank you for treating me like the Queen I really needed the break away from a stressful situation being at home as a carer for my mother too so I needed to look after myself to make me a priority. Recommend the stay to anyone in particular to anyone with disabilities. I would defiantly recommend the Park Plaza and I would stay again. Thank you for maintaining high standards and making my stay an enjoyable one.

The price to be looked at and discounts for people with disabilities. It’s a fantastic hotel in prime location however it’s a hotel that is not always affordable at a time with the cost of living is sky high and I can not think of another hotel in Leeds that can offer the same quality of stay.

Great location opposite the train station and in the city centre. Views over the City from our bedroom were amazing, nice big room, comfy bed, all the facilities you need, spotlessly clean and big bathroom. We only stayed one night and did not use the restaurant for breakfast or dinner. Lots of restaurants nearby, handy for all major stores and only a 20 minute walk the Leeds Arena where we attended a concert.

There is no mirror in the main bedroom and we were surprised a small bar of soap is still provided in the bathroom this seems a waste as most of it is thrown away soap dispensers wall mounted would surely be more cost effective.

We had a free upgrade to a Sky Suite it was amazing , the view, the accommodation even had a tv in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good exceptional value for money. Staff was very friendly the only slight niggle was every time we tried to get a drink in the foyer bar it was either closing or no staff available but we were happy to have a free drink of water or fruit in reception. Location was amazing short stroll from the station and as the weather was quite bad a hop skip and a jump to the Trinity Shopping Centre. We will be returning soon.
