It's always a slight risk booking a city centre hotel but Quebecs was fantastic! It's a gorgeous building, really conveniently located next to the station in the centre of town. We had an executive room on the downstairs floor which was superb. Lovely breakfast in a cosy dining room on the 4th floor. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Parking is an issue - be warned! There are a limited number of spaces (understandable given the location) so expect to park in one of the (many) city centre car parks.

The hotel is close to the railway station and on a quiet road. It was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful providing all the information I needed. They seemed genuinely interested in making my stay as good as it could be. The bedroom was spacious and there was a reasonable supply of tea, coffee and milk. The bed was very comfortable.

I couldn't close the window properly but it was good to have some fresh air. I didn't complain but mentioned it when I checked out. I was surprised to be asked to a pay £50 deposit in anticipation of my using the mini bar or something else extra.

Lovely high-ceilinged room, comfy bed and quality “smellies” in the bathroom - I didn’t photograph the bathroom but it was an excellent wet room with good powerful showers. Very conveniently placed hotel close to the station. A tasteful conversion of an old building, retaining beautiful original features like the stained glass windows and wood panelling.

Nothing to strongly dislike but… Suppose you could say the bedroom decor was a bit tired. Other negative could be lack of vegan labelling/offerings for the breakfast - some vegan substitutes may have been available if one asked but it wasn’t obvious that they would cater with plant milks, plant based spread rather than butter, etc. (Hasten to add, I didn’t ask!) Vegetarian breakfast minus the eggs was very tasty.

Quebec's is something of a rarity in modern Britain: an individual city centre hotel that is not part of a chain, owned and run by an individual and retaining character. A magnificant old building converted to a mid-sized hotel a while ago, and hence some aspects are a little dated, but the staff have pride in the place and seem to care about their guests. I had a room on the fifth floor, in what used to be the servants' quarters. It was a fairly small room - although bigger than some modern business hotels - but it had everthing I needed including a comfy bed and a good shower. Good location for the railway station. I'll come back here, if it's available at the right price the next time I hit Leeds.

Wifi was of limited speed and slightly unreliable. Usable, but not to the standards of a modern chain hotel. No spare power sockets by the bed (it hasn't had a refurb since this became a need) May not fit the needs of a wheelchair user - seemed to be a lot of short flights of stairs in the upper floors, but perhaps there were ways around.

Beautiful room and bathroom - great linens & lighting + everything was spotless. The manager, Caroline, absolute star quality! Location for access to the centre of Leeds is unbeatable. Off-peak rates great value.

Access by car is currently difficult, due to extensive improvements to Leeds Station and surrounds (however this area will be amazing once the works are completed) So a map to the car park would have been helpful, but it was explained to us that this was problematic as the road restrictions etc. change on a daily basis, depending how the works are progressing & we completely understood this dilemma.

The hotel is beautiful. The room was lovely and the bed really comfortable. The facilities are fantastic with the best shower I've ever had. The breakfast was delicious and the mini bar is always stocked up. The staff were amazing. My partner had a fall not far from the hotel (the city square is being renewed) and sprained her ankle. Caroline went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, providing extra pillows and ice packs. She even loaned us a funny book as my partner needed cheering up! Caroline got in touch with the council and told them what happened. The area where she fell was later cordoned off - preventing further accidents. Caroline was brilliant and made our stay very enjoyable, despite what had happened.

We had a small issue with a shower seal but it was rectified straightaway.

I booked Quebec's as part of a late engagement celebration for me and my partner, to mark the occasion I wanted something that would really make her feel special. After travelling into Leeds and parking up we had a short walk to the front of the hotel, we stood in front of a very beautiful grade II listed building and from the very sight of it I knew it was going to be amazing! We walked up the steps and into reception and I immediately thought this is definitely the right choice. As we waited at the reception desk and the lady took our details from us and we had a nice chat with her, when surprisingly she said that we were having our room upgraded and politely asked us to head over to the bar and get ourselves a drink while she found out if our room was ready. After 15 minutes we were informed our room was ready and our luggage had been taken up to our room ready. We were shown to the Robinson Suite, what a stunning place this was, it has a main seating area and an en-suite room leading off to the right, walk forward and look to your left you would be forgiven for thinking you had stepped into a fairytale what a treat! We had a drink and got ready and went out into leeds centre and had a wonderful celebration meal and drinks and came back to settle down for the night, the bed was so nice and comfortable, we had another bottle of champagne for good measure and that was the end of a perfect night. The next morning, we came down for breakfast and that too was really well cooked and fresh. I'd like to thank the lady at reception, who dealt with us and gave us the upgrade for making such a special occasion even more amazing ! We will be staying again, this place is immaculate with nothing out of place, all the staff were brilliant.

Everything was perfect, and we have no complaints

The hotel was beautiful. Grand old listed building amongst the new builds and glass buildings of Leeds city centre. Room was large, very classic but modern. Super comfortable bed and bedding. Good facilities, bottled water, biscuits and tea and coffee making facilities. Robes and slippers to ensure the stay was as comfortable as possible. Managed to get a parking space on-site too, which was a real relief. Staff are lovely and very caring.

It's minor but I asked reception for a do not disturb sign as there wasn't one in my room. Could hear the cleaning staff in the hallway and for peace of mind and their sake, wanted to ensure we weren't disturbed in the mornings. Having a mini break and wanted to relax and have a lay-in. I asked at reception and was promised one would be slipped under the door for the following mornings but didn't arrive. On two separate occasions, my key card wasn't working for entry to the room. Had to nip back to reception and get a new one. Not ideal, but the staff were great and sorted it out instantly.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Very nice room with a really comfortable bed and bedding. Decent bathroom with nice toiletries. Very helpful and friendly staff.

On a couple of occasions, there was confusion about what was listed on the room service menu. One meal came without the sauce on the menu and the meat was over-cooked and without the condiments we'd requested. Another choice - nachos - wasn't available. One breakfast order didn't come with all the things specified on the menu - and I had to let the person taking the order know what was on the menu - even then not all of it came.
