The Fox at Willian

Reasonably sized room with both a bath tub and separate shower. Room was clean and mattress comfortable. Nice breakfast and good choice of food and wine for the evening meal. Very good service from the bar and restaurant staff. There is a separate car park at the back adjacent to the accommodation which is good since the car park by the pub/restaurant can fill up during peak times. A small fan was provided in the room and on full power drowned out any outside noise. Ear plugs were provided but I did not need to use them. The windows had shutters that would help in very hot weather but I would also bring a large free-standing fan with me under those circumstances.

The desk/table provided in the room was small and not really suitable for business work.

Rooms were beautifully decorated, were a good side and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the products provided were lovely quality. Room design was well thought out with places for plugs and getting ready. Beds were comfy and linen was nice quality. Every detail was thought of. Breakfast was amazing and service in the restaurant was impeccable. We also ate an evening meal there too and it was possible the best steak I’d ever had. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Was a little noisy in our room under the stairs meant we could hear everyone going up and down them during the night, but they had kindly provided ear plugs.

Room was compact, but comfortable and well equipped. Restaurant excellent, if quite expensive for what it is. Staff friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. Ultrafast broadband was a real bonus. Easy access to A1(M). EV chargers (only 7kW).

Room close to a road. Not a main road, but nonetheless noisy, even with window closed. Walls paper-thin, and couple next door enjoyed themselves with impressive stamina until the early hours, so I didn’t sleep much on the first night. Ear plugs were provided, which helped to some extent, so obviously a known issue.

What a brilliant place. We booked a few rooms for a dinner, etc, following a workshop. The dinner was excellent & we were very well looked after. The rooms have everything you need, nicely laid out with attention to detail. Breakfast was superb. Stayed a 2nd night for Groundswell with a colleague, and this time had dinner outside in their excellent garden bar - thoroughly recommend. Thank you to all the staff at the Fox who ensured our stay was enjoyable and went smoothly.

Better cheese selection and better coffee, but look, that's splitting hairs!

The location was perfect for our needs. Our room was beautiful - loved the colours and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the shower was fantastic. The bar/lounge area was comfortable and the food was great. We took advantage of the garden area to have drinks. Just a beautiful setting by the church. We spent the first night after arriving at Heathrow and then three nights towards the end of our trip. Can't wait to come back again.

Excellent evening meal for both of us after a very long drive. Very convenient for an early departure from Luton airport. Great engagement from the team on arrival and in the restaurant.

Room well appointed but a little compact. Primary reason for booking The Fox apart from closeness to Luton airport was the availability of Tesla destination chargers but both units were faulty and staff unable to resolve the issue. Rooms were very warm despite there being a decent fan…windows severely restricted for opening them.

The room was nicely designed, spacious, and comfortable. I also really liked the outside space with the table and chairs. All the staff I dealt with were really friendly and willing to accommodate my requests. I would definitely stay here again.

There were some cups and toilet rolls on the outside table that had not been cleared up before my arrival. Would be handy to have some food menus in the room.

The fox at William was spotlessly clean very modern and stylish , the staff go above and beyond to help you and cater to your needs they are very friendly also they even put rose petals on our bed as we just got married , the food was delicious it was one of the best if not the best breakfast we have had .

There was nothing to not like we will definitely be booking in again soon .

The staff were so friendly, efficient and helpful. While making my booking, I enquired if I could have access to an iron during my stay and I was very impressed to find an ironing board and iron in our room upon check-in! The breakfasts were fabulous! I highly recommend The Fox - a little gem in the Willian countryside! Thank you to everyone there!

There was nothing to dislike!

Lovely staff...beautiful location and grounds ,nice room decor. Good cooked breakfast and strong coffees!

Shower temperature control didn't function well room 7 is quite small. We were disappointed that at 1830, we couldn't even get a sandwich as we checked in late after a six hour drive from Scotland. Cooked breakfast was fab. but the continental table was bare.
