Staff were great. I called ahead to let them know I'd be a but later than planned (10pm) and Tom let me know how to get access to my room if I didn't make it before reception closed. I made it and Tom came and served me at the bar so I could take some drinks to my room which was up and down some lovely typical old style stairs. The room was small but perfect for just me and had a velux skylight window. The walls are rather thin but lovely cosy room with a lovely thick duvet and super comfy bed. Lovely little village off the beaten track and much nicer to give my custom to a small local Inn rather than the big brands which never give you as warm a welcome as here! Very cute pub too which seemed cosy and relaxing. Tom was really friendly and also didn't fill my drink to the top with lemonade, perfect!

Walls are a bit thin but had a wonderful sleep anyway. Quite a small bathroom but clean

Really good place to stop by before an early flight. The man booked us a cab for 4am and it came exactly on time - with then only a 10 min drive to Luton. Was a nice place to have a bite to eat and a start of holiday drink the evening before. Decent for any football fans with a big screen so we got to watch the Leeds game. Room was good with a very comfy bed and tea / coffee etc. would deffo stay again before flying from Luton

It was slightly noisy in our room from people walking in from the reception entrance, but to be honest once asleep I wouldn't have noticed at all

I find it difficult to find fault with any aspect of my stay at the KingWilliam, this was my second visit and like the first time I was not disappointed. The hotel is situated in a quiet rural location. The car parking facilities are excellent. My room which was on the ground floor was comfortable and more than adequate for a one night stay, the ensuite wet room facility was wonderful. I/we recieved a warm welcome on arrival and under the leadership of "Nobby" all the staff were polite and extremely helpful which certainly enhanced our experience. I/we enjoyed an excellent well presented evening meal from a comprehensive and fairly priced menu which after a long journey was also welcome. I have business in Luton from time to time and returning tothe King William will definitely be my choice of stay. Thanks once again to " Nobby" and his team for making our short stay so memorable.

I could not have been happier with my one-week stay. Arriving after reception was closed was no problem as they informed me of the code, and I was able to get in. The food all week was excellent, prepared by a talented chef who had a perpetual smile and was fascinating to chat with. The proprietor kept me informed on his rotating ale selection, and his bartending staff were all super friendly. The hard-working housekeeping staff kept me supplied with fresh towels, toiletries and accoutrements. Honestly, to me it felt like everyone who worked there enjoyed / appreciated working there, and they cared about each other as if they were a family.

There's really nothing I didn't like, but if you're a person who is used to big chain hotels in more modern buildings and robotic staff then this is not the place for you.

I stayed as a solo traveller on a Tuesday night. A peaceful location yet a really close drive to Luton Airport. Good value accommodation, nice meals reasonably priced, nice bar, good ale.

The pub and accommodation really exceeded my expectations considering the amount paid however i cannot not mention the smell in room 7, when the kitchen is working, the extraction fan outlet is just outside the window and the smell somehow appeared to be entering the room via the ensuite extraction fan. I could more or less bear it but I know if my other half was with me we'd have had to complain.

staff, and locals couldn’t have been friendlier. I had to come from Brighton for best fish and chips I’ve had. the room was so clean! shower was hot with good pressure, the beds were comfy, and it was quiet considering pub next door. Cosy pub atmosphere and excellent value for money! highly recommend. never left a review on anything before but they deserve it

I chose it as I needed to get to the airport early. it was further than I’d like it half the price of one’s cheaper. it being far out made it quieter though and the local taxi service were fantastic and picked me up 4am sharp

Great location close to airport and everything is set up to allow for an early start. Pub looks old, with character. Wide range of food in bar at reasonable price. Room had a good range of toiletries and coffee tea making facilities. Good shower with hot water.

I couldn't sleep which was a combination of knowing I had to be up at 3.30, the bed being too soft and lumpy and finding 3 spiders in the bed. I flicked them away and the bed smelt clean. The pub is surrounded by open fields so they had maybe come from there.

Nice B&B above the pub. Good meals so definitely eat here if staying here. Overall a great place to stay thats convenient for the airport. A cheaper alternative than staying with one of the big chains close to the airport. I would recommend staying here and i would stay again.

Beds were a little uncomfortable, no lock on bathroom door (still not sure why hotels and B&Bs do not put locks on bathroom doors, especially in twin rooms like what we stayed in) Although the food was really really nice, the chef was not very professional. Was swearing and shouting in the pub and complained to us about the long hours she has worked. Still lovely food though :)

When we arrived on the Friday night the pub was very busy, loads of people outside and they were loud as you would expect from a pub I was inwardly wondering if we should have booked elsewhere however once we were in our room and closed the door we couldn't hear a thing! Lovely room, very clean. Beds were super comfortable. Beautiful view out of our window overlooking hills and greenery. Even saw a Buzzard over the pub! The breakfast was delicious! Much better than the lukewarm buffet at some of the more expensive places we have stayed, cooked fresh and requests catered for. Chef was lovely and friendly same with the man I assume was the landlord who took our breakfast order. Location was perfect for a wedding we were attending. Very quiet in the mornings sitting outside having a coffee. Would definitely stay here again!

If I had to be picky, the shower room (wet room) at first glance was great. Clean and huge! Really needs a few more shelves or hooks to hold toiletries. There was no mirror in the bathroom and the one in the bedroom was screwed to the wall so my partner struggled to have a shave. I didn't realize until after I showered that the all of the toilet rolls were going to get soaking wet as it was a wet room so no sower cubicle but we moved them before we next showered. Would liked there to have been glasses in the room for a drink of water during the night but we had bottles so not really a big deal. Wouldn't put me off staying again.
