Our twin room was well furnished, clean and our window had a lovely view. The en suite bathroom was excellent and we appreciated the fact that you could chose to have either a rain shower or a regular one. Tea and coffee facilities were very good, as were the complimentary bottles of spring water, although we would have preferred a choice of decaffeinated tea and coffee as well as regular. We were delighted by the delicious well cooked meals we enjoyed during our short stay. Hats off to the Chef!

We have no complaints about the staff in general, they were friendly, welcoming, helpful, and efficient, and we do appreciate how difficult it is to obtain and retain good staff. Their usual excellent service was let down on our last evening by a young staff member who was not paying sufficient attention to her customers. We waited for the dessert menu in vain, and then decided we could do without a dessert! When we paid for our excellent meal, we observed her sitting at the bar chatting with the bar staff. Not good.

It is a beautiful location for a pub, right next to the sea overlooking Plymouth with a passenger ferry taking people to and from there on a very regular basis. The pub itself is lovely and cosy, all the staff were very friendly and we had the best room for a long time - decent size, on the first floor looking directly onto the sea and Plymouth, marvelous shower and there was'nt many channels you couldn't get on the tv.The meals were a reasonable size - they'd run out of bouilabase so they did half a kilo of mussels for me instead - and to everybodys surprise including myself I felt perfectly okay the next morning!! They also have a good variety of beers and you can sit outside next to the sea and if you feel like a walk there's Edgecumbe Park right next door and not far away by car is Anthony House in the National Trust - affording good views of the Tamar Bridge the crossing of which I would say is the best way to enter Cornwall, especially when you don't have to pay when you come into Cornwall, however, unfortunately you do on you way out.

The car park is'nt very big, maybe, just about big enough for half a dozen cars and thankfully there was one parking space left for me - you also have to give them your registration number, apparently in case it gets towed away because some parking spaces including mine had Reserved notices on them - luckily mine was still there in the morning!

Room was clean and had everything you needed including bottled water and a proper coffee machine. Staff very accommodating, especially the cleaner who offered me water and biscuits after my race and a shower even after check out. Breakfast wasn't being served until 8am, as we were there for a triathlon we needed to be out early doors but we were given boxed cereal and more coffee instead. Unfortunately no where to store the milk. Had a lovely meal and a great night sleep. Lovely area and will go back with family

Room was quite warm and no opportunity for earlier breakfast or continental

The location is absolutely stunning, couldn't be closer to views of Plymouth and the water if you tried. Really great proximity to loads of activities locally at Mount Edgecumbe estate and local walks - or just enjoying a drink with the view. Staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming - I had some issues at check-in and check-out, they really helped to resolve them and opened breakfast early for me so I could get on the road. Room facilities were all brand new, clean and the view was amazing.

I was unable to get the wifi to work, which was a little frustrating.

Lovely little place right on the sound and mount edgecombe. Perfect for foot ferry or bus. Big thank you to the really friendly lady who checked us in and also served breakfast Very comfy bed., good breakfast. Very dog friendly, separate entrance. Warm room but excellent fan in wardrobe.

Would avoid room 6 at the back if stayed again. View of bins, oil container, humming generator and a wall. Only mirror in bedroom is a small head height one in small dark corner sandwiched between wardrobe, wall, TV and coffee/tea table. Odd loud banging noise at 6am which went on for a while . At first thought it was gun practice from opp naval base but no one else heard it other than us and having read other feedback, seems its something to do with the boiler? For the extra cost I would definitely stay at the front next time.

Short stay, just to get away. Lovely place right next to the sea over looking plymouth, ferry out side to take over to plymouth only £2. We stayed in room 2 , comfortable double bed ensuite with shower with sea views. Food very good but limited menu and Bar, restaurant shuts at 21.00. All the staff we met were fantastic and even kept the resterant open for us as we were late back off the ferry. Lovely location next to Edgecunbe house and gardens. Great for walking and contemplation nothing much else near by. We did walk to cawsands vilage which has more going on there. Private parking. Free wifi.

Nothing really, all good.

A pleasant stay, nice clean room, the staff had put the heating on in preparation for our arrival so the room was warm. There was a kettle with tea/coffee available as well as bottled water. The setting was beautiful overlooking the water, the surroundings were quiet allowing for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious. I accidentally took the keys in my pocket when we left and I spoke with staff who agreed I could pop them in the post on my return home. I would stay again and would recommend

Breakfast started at 8:30am which was a tiny bit late as I needed to be somewhere by 9:15 but that was down to my own circumstances, maybe if staying here for work, that may be a bit of a late start time for breakfast, but it was delicious

We booked this place as we wanted to visit a friend in the area and this was the closest we could find to her home. It was a good choice. The staff were lovely, breakfast very good and the accommodation clean and comfortable. Bonus was the bus that stopped right outside so didn’t have to drive everywhere. There is also a foot ferry over to Plymouth. Will come again.

Seating in the bar was mainly high stools which I don’t find comfortable. The bar area is quite small so one evening we sat around the corner which felt quite isolating. However, layout is what it is and I can’t see how they could do things differently.
