Loved our stay but light didn't work. No really did love our stay. Old proper pub right opposite the river where the original ferry took passengers to the other side. We stayed for two nights, DBB. With a very popular river side seating area and one very traditional large bar together with large restaurant all very nice. Great staff and great Chef producing great food. Huge Full English (pics) The view across the river from the front of the pub and from our room window was spectacular, day time and at sunset. Reached down a small twisty lane to the base of the bridges across the Tamar, and along to the FREE parking in front of the Ferry House Inn and around 6 spaces to the right, marvellous. The rooms have been recently refurbished and are of a good standard all en suite.

I know air con is a rarely available in this country but boy was it hot. With the refurbishment maybe a fan should have been added, maybe a free standing one could be positioned on top of the wardrobe (see pic) Pity there was a small amount of mould in two places on the lovely large shower tray (see pics). Oh the light, turns out that if the bed head is pushed back hard to the wall it turns off the centre light and then it cant be turned on at the entrance by the door. Unfortunately the power sockets are also behind the bed head so no access to then at the head of the bed, There was one on the opposite wall, bit of a nuisance for charging over night, We do like out phones near don't we.

The surrounding area was lovely and the view from the bedroom window in the mornings outstanding, the owners and the staff are very friendly, good breakfast selection on the menu or you can ask for something else ie scrambled egg with crispy bacon or poched eggs what ever the choice, and for what I paid for for the 3 nights that I was there really good value for money, the bed was very comfortable, free WiFi and on suite, tv, cups of tea coffee, hot chocolate suger sweetners milk at your disposal a really charming pub I'll be definitely be going back when I'm visiting my daughter again.

Honestly I couldn't fault anything.

The room had a river view and we had a balcony. It's quite a unique viewpoint of the Brunel rail bridge and the river. (This does not make it noisy) We were also able to go for a walk onto the bridge. The room was clean with tea and coffee facilities and everything we expected to find. We were very pleased with the home cooked breakfast, which had a wide choice and was served in the breakfast room with a view over the river. Parking next to the pub was easy. This is advertised as an inn and is not trying to be a luxury hotel so I felt it was extremely good value for money.

Nothing, this place was exactly as it was described.

This is no ordinary pub accommodation. First of all, it has a stunning location beside the Tamar estuary, under the iconic Albert Bridge at Saltash. Secondly, the rooms are furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard. We were most impressed. The bed was large and luxurious, and the bathroom well appointed. We had a good cooked breakfast, and the evening meal menu was enticing - I recommend the fish pie! They also have real ale and real local cider, both of which we appreciated.

There's virtually nothing to highlight in the "could do better" section to be honest. I guess I might have appreciated more choice of cereal at breakfast, but there really isn't anything else.

The Ferryhouse is a traditional English pub and we loved it. This was our second stay this year. Rooms are good with great views over the water. Dinner was really good . It was pie night and hubby had the steak pie. Enormous and very filling. I had the home made chicken burger and I really enjoyed it. Proper chicken breast, breadcrumbed and served with bacon, cheese, salad, mayo and sweet chilli sauce and boy did it taste good. Breakfast is freshly cooked and really good too. Friendly staff and a great price.

Bathroom could do with a hook on the wall as nowhere to hang clothes while showering. No glasses in the room for water.

Very friendly staff and great location right on the river. This is obviously a great local pub and restaurant because it was very busy. The bedroom had been recently refurbished to a high standard and was reasonable size for a single. It had river views overlooking the original ferry ramp. As the evening got later the bar filled with locals and seating was limited. I would be very happy to stay there again

Roadside parking could be limited during the evening with no larger car parks nearby. Closely following sat nav directions was necessary to find the hotel if you do not know the area as the roads in the area are very narrow, with many twists and turns. The restaurant was fully booked for dinner and the bar was very busy so I did not eat in the evening. Breakfast the following morning was very good with table allocated to the room number

It was a modern clean room with firm beds, and obviously a lot of effort had gone into upgrading the room, the walk in shower was amazing, a slight bit of mould in the corners which didn't detract from the overall appearance of the bathroom. The breakfast was simply stunning with a good choice, I went for the full English and my wife had the lighter version. The view fromthe room was excellent over the Tamar towards the bridge into Cornwall. The Inn is on a quiet road so we weren't bothered with traffic noise.

There was a bit of noise from the regulars as they left the bar at closing time but other than that nothing to complain about

This was a last minute booking, despite a busy Friday the staff were excellent on arrival, and bar staff friendly and fab all evening. Lovely atmosphere and pleasant friendly locals and tourists. We didn’t eat in the evening but it looked great ( I recommend booking as was busy ). breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. Room was great and loved the views, comfy bed, good hot drinks selection, decent shower and quiet. In fact the only noise was a guy singing with locals downstairs and then I realised that guy was me :). perhaps I should of ate he he. Was good fun. Highly recommended and a genuine rare 10/10 from me.

if I had to nit pick, a fan and some bottled water and ice bucket would have been a lovely summers touch.

Neil, Clare and their team are fantastic hosts, with a warm welcome, friendly and entertaining company. A great atmosphere in the pub and every care taken to ensure a comfortable stay. Will definitely book again when we return to the area. Excellent cask ales, generous servings of fresh pub grub cooked well and served by warm and friendly staff. The full English would satisfy the heartiest of appetites! The accommodation recently refurbished was clean and to a good standard, with comfy bed and generous en-suite facilities. The harbour side outdoor area great for when the sun shines for a relaxed drink or meal by the waterside. On road parking directly outside the pub. We were taking the ferry from Plymouth so this was a perfect location within 20 minutes of the terminal. Check out their excellent accreditation’s with Cask Marque and 5 star food hygiene rating.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, good standard recently refurbished, clean and comfortable. If Wi-Fi is important to you this could be an issue as neither of us could successfully login.

Superb location, easy nearby parking in unmarked bays right next door, and the accommodation was way more modern and comfortable than I was expecting. Very clean rooms and bathrooms with hotel standard beds and fittings. The staff were young but very pleasant and eager to help. Accommodation was surprisingly quiet being part of a pub, and we had no problems with noise. The neat, modernised and friendly Ferry House is an absolute gem in every way.

Nothing. Exceptional accommodation, would return anytime and recommend without hesitation.
