Byron Hotel

The Byron Hotel is only a few minutes by walk from the Queensway station. It is located in a peaceful district with very nice buildings and is only a few minutes from Hyde Park. The classic double room we had was perfectly clean, and the hotel leaves you the choice to request each day or not the cleaning service. The air conditionning was also very helpful during the hot days we had. The staff was really nice and provided us a UK adaptor for the plug socket (also note there are 4 usb plugs, so you may not need an adaptor). We will definitely come back to this hotel next time we travel to London!

We hear a lot the noise in the streets. Sometimes, at 6AM, we had someone parking their car and making a lot of noise while loading their car up. Also, we hear a lot the neighbours when they enter/leave their rooms: we were awaken by someone leaving at 4AM

It was a little bit noisy in the night as we were next to the visitors toilet and the bath towels were tiny! But other than that, lovely and fantastic price for London.

This hotel’s ratings include reviews prior to the renovation - they should be much higher now. The renovation was total and very refined. Air conditioning was impressively strong, American style. Elegantly designed, new common sitting room. Staff was professional and helpful.

In the course of 14 nights, there was one day that house keeping did not come. (Otherwise super clean). We never tried the.breakfast because our superior room had a microwave.

The room was very clean and quiet (I requested a quiet room as I was traveling for work). It was recently renovated and cozy. Location was perfect, very close (5 min walk) to the Queensway tube station. The staff was very friendly from the reception to the staff at the breakfast.

The breakfast was not really what I was expecting. Very few choices (no fresh fruit or different types of bread for instance). This could be improved a little bit.

The room was clean as well as the environment.

The bedsheets and pillow cases seemed like they weren't changed. I could perceive the perfume of the person who had stayed their before me.

The location is absolutely perfect. Tubes and bus stop are just around the corner. Restaurants and shops are super near. All the staff are super friendly and nice especially the lady at the reception and the Night Shift receptionist. Both of them provide the best and most attentive care to the guest. Throughout our 5 days stay here, we been taken very good care by the hotel. Our room was being tidied up every single day with new towels replenished.

Clean and quiet room (perhaps a bit small, however good enough for one), clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. WiFi worked well at all times, friendly and helpful staff. I have not tried their breakfast so can not comment on that.

Window was not well sealed (stayed there in one of those cold winter month of the year), however adjusting the heating settings helped to get around the issue (note: perhaps not everyone would try doing it themselves).

Renovated and situated in a safe neighborhood. Room was well heated. Barthroom and furniture were all new. Two different metro lines just 5 minutes away. Staff was polite and helpful. Room was cleaned everyday, thought cups provided for coffee were not replaced when used. It had a 24 hours reception.

Room was rather small.We were light packing traveling and still we had to figure wherever out to put our luggages. Closet was small as well Breakfast was plentiful but with a small variety of things.Could be improved by having more choices in sweet options. Towels were not changed daily.

This hotel is a large converted row house type property near the north-west area of Hyde park near Kensington Palace. It is well located near both Central and Circle tube lines as well as a convenient 15 minute walk to Paddington train station with both National Rail and Elizabeth overground lines. We had a triple room that was modern with USB outlets around the room and AC (which was really important during our visit). There is a well-stocked mini market at the end of the street, several restaurants near the tube station, and a nice Pub (the Swan) with outdoor seating about 5 minutes away near the Lancaster Gate tube station. We'd typically pick up a pastry at the mini market and eat it in Hyde park on the way to our day's outings and then end the day with a refreshment at the pub on the way back in the evening.

Our room was in the basement on the street with exterior access stairs just outside our window. It wasn't a problem but nothing in the descriptions said we'd be in a basement room. We weren't in the room much but when we were we had the drapes drawn most of the time so people couldn't peer in. While the street the hotel is on is generally quiet, many of the properties on the street are undergoing renovations so there was construction noise starting around 7am. You could tell the room was recently renovated but there were still scuffs marks on the walls and some stains on the carpet. Oh and these are typical London rooms, ie quite small with little elbow room.
