Dorset Square Hotel, Firmdale Hotels

Everything. Marina and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The property was spotless and was within walking distance to many spots.

We had an exceptional stay at the Dorset Square Hotel. On our arrival, we were kindly welcomed by reception and were thrilled to learn when checking -in that our room was already ready for us. The hotel is absolutely stunning throughout, the choice of decor is exquisite and the hotel is immaculate and very clean; our room was wonderful. The hotel’s restaurant, The Potting Shed, was also very nice, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the food was exceptional and the decor was beautiful. The hotel has a super calming aura throughout, it felt like a home from home and you wouldn’t know that the hustle and bustle of central London is right outside the door (the location is very good indeed). I would say without hesitation that this is the best hotel I have stayed in in London. I honestly cannot recommend The Dorset Square Hotel enough.

We loved the staff, the location and the interiors were all beautiful.

Location was perfect for our needs - NCP just round the corner, 2 mins from The Old Marylebone Town Hall (we were attending our son's wedding). Hotel was gorgeous and room was great. It was small but then it was exactly as we expected for a beautiful georgian town house hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Loved the lounge, quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and servicee spot on. All the staff were charming and extremely helpful.

Not a big deal but the only thing I would highlight is the lighting in the bathroom. Although lovely - it made me look very healthy (nice but not very accurate!), it was not great for putting on make up, especially when getting ready for a wedding!

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Because my schedule changed, I had to book two different rooms booked on adjacent nights, but the staff upgraded me without charge to enable me to stay in one room for the duration. The design of the hotel is lovely, as it is at all Firmdale hotels.

I knew I had booked a relatively small room, but I was surprised just how small it was -- and more importantly, that its furniture design wasn't practical. For example, there were outlets only on one side of the bed, and the room didn't have a desk (only a tiny round table).

loved the Kit Kemp design & my room , but sadly my room had no external view , just into a wall next door so was very dark. But lovely amenities & the best breakfast downstairs at the Potting shed restaurant. All the staff were incredibly helpful , in bringing me a tea tray , as I requested one & stowing my luggage for the day. Perfect location too , close to Baker st underground & to Regents Park etc.

Breakfast was nice although very inconsistent service between day 1 (very slow and wrong order) and day 2 (excellent). Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean Excellent location between Marylebone and Baker Street

Hotel system was not working which meant doors had to be manually opened by staff each time. No interconnecting rooms available.

Stayed for 4 nights. Though not large, the room was designed elegantly with a large, comfortable bed with luxurious linens. The heated towels in the bathroom were thick and lovely which I very much enjoyed as well. Traveled with my 6 year old daughter, she loved it, too. I was able to arrange on site pressing for a dress, they delivered it back within hours to my room, really appreciated it.

Wish the shower was just a tad bit larger.

Super friendly, kind & professional staff: Andreas, Annacou & Lucca. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Beautiful decor generally throughout the hotel, although my room was small for a comparably priced luxury hotel. The bathroom was stunning & lashings of good hot water & had plenty of gorgeous toiletries. Food all delicious, tasty & well presented ... especially for a "hotel restaurant". A very elegant, quirky, pretty hotel. Wonderfully intimate & personal if you want a change from a larger more corporate experience & wonderful if you are a sole traveller in search of well located peace & quiet or want the feel of staying in a lovely English Townhouse.

A very small bedroom & it's decor, although I love Kit Kemp's eclectic & "funky" taste, is perhaps a little too dark for me ie deep red/blue & quite masculine for my personal taste but it did make it cosy looking. Would ask for a "lighter" colour scheme next time.

Absolutely beautifully presented hotel. As you approached the property it stood out as a very classy hotel. On entering, the hotel was immaculate very welcoming staff on reception. I asked about the history of the hotel and was given information. Explained where our room was located, Information about breakfast. Walked to our room & opened the door to a amazing light room beautiful hung curtains & bed linen. Spacious bathroom with large walk in shower fluffy white towels & dressing gowns. Toiletries placed in the bathroom which smelt fabulous. Hand lotion with a welcome note on the dressing table which was hand written very personal touch. Breakfast was delicious full English breakfast fresh fruit salmon eggs anyway you liked crushed Avocado on toast with eggs fresh loose tea which my husband & I like very much as we don’t drink alcohol so tea is very important to us. Beautiful fine bone China which we both appreciate. Wonderful staff at breakfast as they were on reception. Called at reception to ask about a date in December they said they had rooms so we have booked for Friday December 10th 2021. Such a luxury to spend time with my husband in beautiful surroundings with so much character in a hotel. Absolutely adore the decor & very much an inspiration to bring home to our farm House. Thankyou x
