Durrants Hotel

The staff, location room size . Loved the feel of the hotel it’s old fashioned quirk.

The water pressure! Difficult to enjoy a shower as water pressure nonexistent even from the taps. Only thing that spoilt our stay but a massively important one.

The location is great and the hotel is classy. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Rooms are small (typical for London) and you could hear every noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms.

I loved the location of the hotel and the ambiance. The staff were helpful and the beds were very comfortable.

Booking.com indicated that the hotel had air-conditioning and they did have a small dyson fan that cooled a bit but it was by no means air-conditioning like you would find in the United States and Canada. The hotel provides one key per room and its a clunky, weighted old fashioned key which they ask you to leave when you go out and pick up upon return. This was fine but it would be a little weird if you are sharing a room with someone who may be doing there own things and you are coming and going at different times.

Appreciated the a la carte breakfast, served promptly and I paid for what I ate instead of with a buffet where there is more food than I can eat and it ends up not being good value for money. The public areas were beautiful with lots of corners where one can work or have short meetings.

We ate in the restaurant one evening, the food was tasty, but if they had had a bigger menu then we would have had 2 or 3 evenings there. Alternatively an interesting snack menu in the bars would have been an attractive alternative for a light evening meal

we are regular customers and always enjoy our stays. Bath water at bedtime much hotter than usual.

Not a great fan of your breakfasts -- eg fresh fruit could be much better with the availability all the year round of more interesting --- raspberries , strawberries etc

The location was excellent for us. The neighborhood was very nice. The Wallace Museum is nearby and there are excellent restaurants and pubs nearby as well. The atmosphere was excellent, we felt like we were indeed in the UK in a proper hotel.

The shower/tub is uncomfortable and somewhat dangerous to use. It was good that you provided an anti-slip mat, but the high tub was narrow and difficult to enter and leave. It would reduce risks for your guests and you if you replaced the tub with a shower base and added grab bars. Also, more places to hang up clothes would be appreciated.

We liked the atmosphere (old decor and finishes, not modern). Liked the location, quiet yet close to a lot of stuff.

Staff seemed new and disorganized. Kept making errors when we requested stuff for our room. Breakfast was very expensive.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful from the moment we walked in everyone was so helpful and welcoming. We were able to check in around 10am and our room was really lovely so clean and well presented. The hotel is in a very good location really central but not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle which suited us perfectly, short walk to Oxford street, Marble Arch, Paddington etc. This was my first time staying at this hotel and I will 100% be returning because it really exceeded my expectations, out of all of the hotels I’ve stayed at in London this is by far the best, it is luxurious and elegant the highlight of my trip! Thank you so much to all of the wonderful staff as you made my stay at the Durrants Hotel perfect !

I can honestly say that not one single thing could have been better, everything I experienced was perfect from the early check in, beautiful room, late check out and friendly staff I couldn’t ask for more! If you are thinking of staying here you won’t be disappointed it is absolutely beautiful.

Nice building & good locality

Too expensive and tiny room

The hotel is very charming, old English style. There is a nice bar, cosy seating areas, and a beautiful room for breakfast. Rooms, as usual in London, are quite small: I stayed two nights in a double and three nights in a tiny single, which were both well equipped (but basically with no space where you can store your luggage if you have a big one). Staff was very kind and efficient, the room was quiet, location is good (nearest tube is Bond Street), close to many restaurants, cafes, and bars.

Breakfast is à la carte, it is ok, but could be improved, considering how expensive it is.
