Holmes Hotel London

I like the boutique style and the modern design. It is well located and you can even walk to various places. Breakfast is served which is a great plus for me. Clean and calm rooms with coffee machine.

Daily house keeping needs to be requested for shorter stays. It works fine if you ask for it. But personally I find this trend not acceptable. For me daily house keeping belongs to the service of a hotel and it is also represented in the price of a hotel. I feel Covid19 and environmental protection are just used as an excuse to simply safe internal costs. If I don't want the service of a hotel I could also rent an Airbnb and go around the corner for breakfast. Hotels should deliver what the customer is also paying for - this includes daily house keeping without requesting it seperately.

Very good location, close to tourist sights, good value.

The bar manager on duty on the afternoon of 12 April. He berated us like we were second class citizens, from a distance of 25 ft because we bought a cookie from Gail’s to eat it at the hotel. We already had ordered 2 cappuccinos and had spent over £600 for food and beverages during our stay. He was very rude to say the least and not customer oriented at all.

Staff was nice and friendly, rooms were pretty good and clean, the location is very close to an underground tube with plenty of options for food & bars but not too crowded, 2 free welcome-drinks was nice to get when we arrived.

Breakfast was nothing special, we ate in a few other places that were better and cheaper. Gym is small and doesn't offer many options.

If you have a lot of luggages, it could be a problem as there are steps even on the same floor. Have to hand carry luggages for a few steps before reaching the room. Food quality is good. However, the choices in the menu are limited. Though you can easily mix and match your items in the breakfast. We had Xmas lunch in the hotel restaurant. Food was great. However, i realised that those items are found in the usual daily menu. They just put together a few items from the daily menu to form the Xmas menu. Overall food quality is good.

We had an amazing time at the Holmes Hotel. I stayed in a Studio King Suite for a week, on a last-minute trip to London with my two teenagers. It was an amazing find! The room was big (gigantic in central-London terms), everything was clean and high quality, the staff were great, and the breakfast was huge and delicious, even for vegans. We'll definitely be back.

The corridors are a little confusing and winding, and not ideal if you have mobility challenges.

The hotel is located down a quiet street near Baker Street tube station. The facilities were excellent with very friendly staff. The room was spotlessly clean and bed comfy. It was ideal for our two night stay

Really great relocation. Can walk to just about everywhere. Rooms are a good size and very clean.

Roof top bar was crossed for a private function. Toilet and towels were not all replaced on the second day.

The location was outstanding! The first room we received was not good, but, the second one was great on the second night and thereafter. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, The bathroom, towels and amenities were excellent. Everything worked - TV, clicker, dryer, WIFI, great shower pressure, robes, etc. The hotel motif after Sherlock Holmes was very well done. The check-in staff were excellent and accomodated our request to hold our luggage during mini-excursion to Brugges prior to check-in. Arrived their via taxi. Arranged Uber to return to LHR from the Uber app.

The restaurant staff were both non-responsive on a few occassions and dismissive on my last conversation with the host who suggested I go get "fast food" when asked if the kitchen was still open. We definitely felt out of place in this part of the hotel, eventhough we were staying there. Not a problem however since there are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby which we took advantage of throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I can't say I would return to this hotel based on the treatment received by the restaurant/bar staff compared to the overall price point of our stay.

I stayed for one night. the room and hotel were very pretty and decorated beautifully. close to the tube station (even better if you get to the correct entrance). the staff were very nice and helpful. every thing looked clean and looked after. breakfast was amazing and really tasty.

1. i was directed by google maps to the restaurant that opens to the other side of the building as the reception. there was no indication that there was a way in or that they were connected ( the name .. but still confused me) i stood in rain for 15 mins until i figured it out. 2. my room had two steps in it. i don't think this was mentioned at all (it was not difficult but i was after a week of walking tours so i could have done with out). 3. i had to ask 2 time for explanation regarding breakfast as i am not used to ordering off a menu.

The staff were all very friendly and helfpul. The reception staff went over and above to help me. The location right by Baker Street and Marylebone High Street was fantastic. The food was excellent (I especially enjoyed what I ordered for room service).

Although the staff were wonderful, I got the impression they were a bit understaffed. One morning it took 20 minutes to get coffee. I had some issues with cocktails on two separate occasions. I was also disappointed that the Mini Bar listed as one of the amenities on Booking.com basically is an empty fridge. The fridge was useful, but I expected a stocked mini bar.
