Montagu Place Hotel

The breakfast was great value for money; a wonderful selection and everything was extremely fresh and beautifully presented. It was a quiet yet perfectly located part of London. We will definitely stay there again should we make a return visit.

Though not an issue for us, traversing the narrow staircase with bags may create an issue for some.

Very kind and helpful staff! I like the comfort and also the cleanliness of the place. It felt very easy and a home feel to it.

The location is excellent and is very close to Oxford Street and the centre of London is accessible on foot. It sits in a very nice part of London and is surrounded by upmarket apartments which is particularly evident by the type of vehicles parked on the street (loads of Range Rovers!).

The room was a little small but I'm told is normal of this type of accommodation in London. We stayed downstairs which was tricky to get our large suitcases down to the room - but all in all, not really a big issue.

The location was ideal, and the staff were really responsive to a few issues (broken/noisy radiator) and were wonderful about checking in early and checking out late. We were happy that even our basement room had natural light/a window.

It was rather noisy, unfortunately; the rooms had thin walls, and everything could be heard especially from the basement rooms.

The staff. The creams in the bathroom This is a cute boutique hotel in a wonderful position in Marlebone, but the room was very small. The bed was a 3/4 bed and the matress was soft and sagging. Also, the bath plug was not working,. The staff were very nice and apologetic. After the second night they changed the matress and fixed the bath plug., and after that we had a very pleasant stay. I have to single out Marina and Holy who are an asset to the hotel.

THEY HAVE STOPPED SERVING HOT BREAKFASTS BUT THE COST STAYED THE SAME . You may have to ask for refullment at the buffet ,not enough looked after by the staff .The same in the room , you may have to ask for more tea bags , more coffee ,more shower gel ....

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the air con in the room! Lovely location to shop along Marylebone high street and lots of nice spots to sit for food and drinks. Easy walk to Oxford street and both Hyde Park and Regents Park. Very close to Marylebone station which has ten minute trains to Wembley which were great for us to get to a concert.

It didn’t bother us but there is no lift so worth noting if you need to request a ground or lower floor room as we were on the third floor.

Good location

I’ve stayed in his hotel several times and always loved it but it’s now starting to look a little tired. Breakfast area is now v small with v limited choice & a dental conference was being held in the rest of the dining room. Not ideal in a small boutique hotel as not enough places for our 5 rooms to have breakfast together,

it felt like we were staying in a lovely townhouse. Very well appointed and comfortable as well as spacious.

My only “complaint” is that it doesn’t feel like there is a clear entrance or lobby. We had to be buzzed in when we arrived and we felt like we were walking into someone else’s living room, as other guests were gathered there before a wedding.
