Hilton London Metropole

Everything was perfect and as expected, I only gave it a bit lower when it comes to location due to personal preferences NOT that the location itself is not convenient, its right on Edgeware road street.. I just happen to prefer to stay right on Oxford street. Other than that it went all as expected..

Only downside I can think of is that the elevators took somewhat long, and seemed abit old, apart from that.. everything was good.

Nice room and use of executive lounge

One dressing gown in bathroom was not clean and slippers were not in sealed bag. Had obviously been used before. I asked chamber maid to change them but this was not done.

The breakfast buffet was huge and had something for everyone in our family, and that’s saying something. We have one vegan, three vegetarians (one of whom has a gluten allergy and one who’s allergic to eggs and nuts), and one very picky 7 year old. The staff was wonderful. They answered every question, were gracious when asked repeatedly about ingredients (some of our allergies are severe), were always kind. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk helped with everything from a lost key card to suggestions about restaurants.

The only complaint, which is a corporate complaint not a Metropole complaint, is that I don’t get Hilton Honors points for our 8 night stay because I booked through Booking.com. That’s incredibly frustrating and something I wasn’t aware of when I made the booking. In all honesty, if I had known, I probably would’ve either stayed someplace else or booked directly through the Hilton website. Eight nights would have given us a ton of points, so it’s a big loss.

By my own error I had booked 2 rooms which said accessible presuming these had access to the lounge. it turned out these were rooms for special need persons. I am very grateful to the reception staff Mr Nasrulallah(I believe) and the lady Ms Eihab there who informed me before check-in and helped us change the rooms. we were given rooms in The tower wing,which has been recently renovated in 2023 and we had very comfortable rooms. Thanks to both the staff.seondly we were to travel to Edinburgh for 4 days and we had return booking with Hilton so we were able to deposit some of our excess baggage with their concierge at a minimal charge of GBP 4 per suitcase per day till we returned.

on our returned we were given one room after delay of 2 hours and the 2nd room after delay of 5 hours even though we had booked those rooms specifically. The reason we were told the person occupying that room had asked for late check out and he had not moved out and there was nothing they could do. That was a very strange reason to inconvenience your Hilton honor member and his family. we were offered one drink in the bar which I couldn't accept as I don't drink.

They didn't refund security money yet.

The room is very big suitable for a family’s of 6 , the breakfast is delicious and international, the hotel is clean and spacious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would like to thank: Pedrov- the receptionist guy , for providing a room a nice view. Mr. Mohammad and Mr. Skyler - concierge , for providing different services for us such as booking train tickets, cars, places to visit. They were very helpful and we appreciated their help. Lastly, the thin, tall and young Indian housekeeper ( I didn’t get to ask her name unfortunately) for providing a great service for our family of 5 especially having young kids that are messy. Definitely will come and stay in this hotel again.

For a family with young children, walking to places is tiring. So the hotel is bit far for them to walk to the Hyde Park. I suggest talking transportation.

the hotel in general was bigger than expected, the cafe downstairs had good coffee and sandwiches, the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, the good thing about the location is everything was basically open during xmas so it wasn't difficult finding something to eat. the staff made our stay comfortable; the concierge team were very friendly and helpful since we got there, also the front desk guy was very helpful and made our stay extra special since we were celebrating our anniversary "unfortunately I never got to catch his name"

the room didn't have slippers; I forgot to pack mine so felt annoyed not to find any in the room it would be nice to have toiletries as well; ended up buying cotton buds from the pharmacy across the st. due to the location of the hotel, even though we were on the 22nd floor, the fact that you hear sirens all night was disturbing finally, the room service needs improving as you can clearly see the dust on top of the mini fridge which clearly was never wiped.

Very near to Edgware Road Station and easy to get anywhere in Zone 1. Convenient to get anywhere in London from. The rooms were big enough for a family of 4 and comfortable for our stay. The areas which have been refurbished are nice. The Crab Tree and Evelyn body wash and soap were nice!

We were in the West Wing which was old and have seen better days. For the amount we paid, I expected better. I did not opt for breakfast after I saw the review and where I saw it for myself, it was for the better as people had to queue for breakfast! No thank you. The rooms also look dated and tired. Our toilet flush also didn’t work properly. We had to wait a while before the next flush.

The location was lovely! Room was nicely equipped and overall it was a great hotel! I even got a free breakfast included! Unfortunately ended up not using the free breakfast but it was a nice touch! The staff was mostly friendly and helpful! I mean its Hilton... 😁

In one point there was gentleman in the staff that maybe could have acted a bit nicer. I asked for a nice vegan restaurant in the city and all I got was that the in house restaurant is open. I understand that sales are sales but I really just wanted to eat out. At the end he gave me a card for an Italian restaurant which are rarely vegan. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Also, the room was a bit noisy but there is nothing that can be done about that at this point. Overall the stay was nice and I still would recommend! 🙂
