London Marriott Hotel Kensington

We loved the room and staff were great upon checking in. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean.

On check out, we were told that the hotel over charged double for our room and that I would be given a refund to my account. This refund did not happen, even though I called the hotel over 3 week period. Kept getting different answers to what was happening. No email reply from the staff, it was just me chasing them. Communication was terrible for such an established company. Disappointed in the end when told they made an error and no refund is on the cards. What a waste of my personal time and effort. Not likely to book again due to this experience I am afraid.

Staff were welcoming and helpful, our room was upgraded and we appreciated the extra space and being able to check in early was an added bonus. Hotel was quiet-so used to being able to hear traffic and outside noise in London hotels, but we couldn't hear a thing despite our room facing the main road. Comfy beds, clean bathroom would happily stay again. We had a full day of activities planned and had a bit of nightmare travelling to London so having a nice, warm and dry, (the weather was awful) room to come back to was great.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, the hot food had obviously been out for a while and was a little dry. However there was a great choice of breakfast items and the coffee was excellent.

Cooler looks like a fridge but …is not! The storage of luggages in the lobby was long for the deposit and very long to get afterwards

The elevator was the issue , otherwise everything else was excellent including furnishing a taxi asap on a very early Sunday morning

the Service- found us a room even though we were very early. the receptionist lady even came out of hotel to get us back in to tell us about the room being available!

This is being picky - boiled egg at breakfast was undercooked. mattress in room - could be a bit firmer.

Just the location I needed the night before a photoshoot for work. The hotel has obviously been refurbished fairly recently so it’s got nice modern decor. Rooms are small and it’s right on the main road but it was easy to walk to High Street Ken

The parking. Be warned the hotel do not own the car park located directly next to it (accessed through their own ramp), so can’t guarantee spaces. Ash on concierge was an absolute star, warning us that cars frequently get broken into there so allowing us to park on the ramp where staff could keep an eye on our car - thanks Ash!

5 mins walk to Earls Court tube station. Staff are attentive. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Sufficient air conditioning. Bathroom good size and shower control is easy to operate. Soft drinks at their grab and go shelf are cheap.

2 of 4 Milk sachets are off with flake texture on the day when we checked in. They topped up tea bags but not milk sachets. We have 2 ppl but only one pair of disposable slippers provided on second day. House keeping needs to pay more attention to certain details.

Room was modern, clean, quiet and very comfortable. Great location - only a 6-minute walk to two Tube stations and several bus stops. Free water bottle and tea refilled everyday.

The room description listed a king size bed for the room, but in reality it had a queen. Since this is was an error on Booking.com, the hotel could/would not do anything about it. Room lighting is very low, even in the bathroom.

Really modern hotel in a great location and very good value for money. I was impressed and would choose to return. Hassan who checked me in was very professional and efficient.

The only negative was breakfast. The hot food looked appetising but it was actually cold and therefore not enjoyable.

The shower was lovely and bed size were fantastic. The lady at checkin (Elektra) was brilliant so friendly and welcoming and really made our stay. Check in was quick and efficient.

Unfortunately checkout took a lot longer than expected due waiting over 40 minutes for a receipt. The staff at checkout were not as friendly. No apology received so to be honest we won’t return due to this as customer service is what we paid for and it wasn’t adequately received.
