Lovely pub in the centre of Portobello market. Lots going on and a great place to eat and sit outside watching the world go by. The room was clean tidy and reasonable size and decent value for money when I stayed. The staff were helpful and friendly and place had a good vibe about it. No noise whatsoever as you are on the top floor so even though the bar is open you don't hear anything. Only 4 rooms here I think so if you dont have any noisy neighbours it will be a peaceful pleasant stay for you in a great little area.

All was good.

The location was great, bar downstairs was nice staff very friendly and drinks and food lovely. the room we had was a good size and nice views of portobello road.

The bathroom was not very clean. dirt up the walls and hairs in the shower and around the tiles all around the bathroom. hairs that were not ours. stains on the cushion cover as well which wasn’t pleasant. the only issue really for us was the cleanliness and it did not make us feel very comfortable. no reception as such to let the staff know our concerns, unclear who to talk to about that.

Location was amazing, on Portabello with wonderful views of this iconic road and thriving community. Room was larger than expected, I had the deluxe with a corner view, superb. Very clean, lovely retro decor and loved the bathroom. Whole room flooded with natural light and best of all windows that opened!!! Very good value for such a central location!

I could be petty over tiny details, e.g. bulb out but it was so unimportant to me I didn't even bother to ask for a replacement which I knew would of been done instantly...there was nothing I didn't like

Great location, easy to walk around Notting Hill and thru to Hyde Park, or to events at Shepherds Bush. Closest underground station is Ladbroke Grove. Save some energy for the stairs up to the rooms! Loved watching the market activity, lots of places to eat and drink, amazing street food. The in-house gin is awesome 😀

When we checked in the room had no towels and the record player had no stylus. The towels were quickly fixed but sadly we couldn't enjoy the vintage vinyl. Gin made up for it!

Location was great, and it was lovely to not be in a typical ‘corporate’ London hotel.

There was an issue with the power going off on the Saturday morning. The staff were very apologetic, but we were unable to get through by phone or email to anyone until the bar downstairs opened. The issue also meant that, once we left our room, we couldn’t use the electronic key to get back in until power was restored. This didn’t spoil our stay in any way, but it would be helpful for a member of staff to be available out of hours?

Location was excellent. Nicely furnished room and comfortable bed. Good large shower with nice shampoo etc. Lovely bars within the hotel, great for a drink before/after exploring the city. Very quiet room - even though it was on Portobello road the room was very quiet - we didn’t hear any outside noise and stayed on a busy Friday night.

The room could have been cleaner - it wasn’t a massive problem but I felt it needed a more thorough clean and I went over the bathroom with disinfectant when I arrived. The record player didn’t work which was disappointing. Bottles in the fridge weren’t labelled or sealed so weren’t sure what the drink was. This wasn’t a problem but there were 8 x glasses on the side for a room that sleeps 2 people!

If you want to immerse yourself in the Portobello atmosphere, the Distillery is definitely the place to stay! (and eat & drink!) They only have a few rooms on the second floor, which makes it quite exclusive, they are well decorated with a great vintage look, they even have a record player with a good selection of records, comfortable beds and are super clean. The team is lovely making you feel at home and super friendly. You can’t miss this place!

The room was lovely, the bar area was great, location was perfect. Will definitely come back to this hotel if we are in London again any time soon.

when arriving reception didn't think we had paid via booking, com, we had and had to prove payment to them. It was eventually found on their system but it was a little embarrassing.

The staff here are so friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect quirky room clean with great view of the street and market. Nice atmosphere at the bar. The room has everything you need with really nice soap. I loved the complimentary mini bar!

Only suggestion is handles on the wardrobe as it was hard to open.

This was an amazing location to fully appreciate what London has to offer. The magnificent Portabello market is on your door step . Need I say any more ?

The rooms weren't over big but the location more than made up for this.
