The Crescent Hyde Park

The room was spacious and quiet. Even if it was on the ground floor next to a road we hardly herd any noise. The beds and pillows very comfortable. The bathrooms was tiny, but the shower big and powerful. Conveniently located between two subway stations (Lancaster Gate and Paddington)

The entrance was small a bit shabby, it gave off a bad first impression. Thankfully the rooms were much better than the rest.

I like the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff.

I did not like that there was not a lift in the building. We were placed on the 7th floor, so traveling with luggage can be a bit difficult. Keep this in mind when booking and requesting a specific floor.

The room was clean and in good repair. I appreciated the free bottled water. The bathroom was a good size and the air-conditioning was easy to operate. The location was fantastic for my needs: close to subway, close to the park for jogging, and close to small grocers and pubs.

The following didn't affect me personally, but it should be noted that there is no elevator and the property is not attended at nights. No guest rooms were on the ground floor, so the hotel is totally inaccessible for guests who cannot go up stairs. My room was on the 4th floor, which would have been very inconvenient if I was less mobile than I am. There is no attendant at nights, which made me slightly uncomfortable. However, I didn't have any needs that were unmet while the desk was unattended.

Staff very friendly, rooms clean and decently appointed . Staff took take of a package that came the day before i arrived.

Lack of lobby space. Only one v small crowded lobby at the sister property across the street. Needed a quiet area to make a zoom call and was offered the meeting room to rent for 200 pounds for 2 hours.

Ideally situated between Paddington Station and Hyde Park in a quiet street. We booked the compact double and the room was plenty big enough, clean and well equipped with tea, coffee machine and cold water in the fridge, large TV etc. The room had air conditioning which was a bonus as it was very hot weather when we stayed. The hotel makes you aware on booking that there is no lift and our room was on the fourth floor so you do need a certain level of fitness. We were easily able to climb the stairs as we only had cabin bag size luggage. This could be more of an issue if you have large suitcases. As we arrived after 8pm the front door was locked but there is an assistance bell and staff from the sister hotel across the road came over immediately. The Crescent is room only but just a short walk from the Italian Garden in Hyde Park where there is a super little cafe that opened at 7.30am. Staff on reception were very friendly. On check out they even asked if we would like luggage storage.

No complaints at all

The location was real close to the Royal Lancaster, where the event I was attending was taking place. Very close to Paddington and Lancaster Gate Underground and 10min to Hyde Park. The hotel is new and quite modern and the price was quite reasonable for the area and being London. Free wifi.

The room was really tiny. OK for the single traveller with no luggage as I was but a couple with one single suitcase would really struggle to move around. Same goes for the bathroom/shower. Nicely appointed and modern but hardly any room to put anything. For business and short trips does really work but not sure I would book this hotel for more than a two night stay. At least the same bedroom.

We arrived at 1 for an event in Hyde park, hotel was shut so we went to the sister hotel across the road. Staff were friendly and we were able to leave luggage, then arriving back late, grabbed our luggage and went across the road. Check in friendly. Room comfortable, Nespresso coffee machine and kettle with tea bags etc.

The shower was cold, but we think we should have applied the switch the opposite side. May be handy to have instructions, as I have a Nespresso but if I didn’t I wouldn’t have known how to work it and if aware of switch for shower I’d have located it. Pillows could be more comfortable also.

Excellent location for easy access to my meetings. The room was very well appointed and spotless as was the entire building. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating - they were wonderful!

It should have been made clear that there is NO lift in the building. I had very heavy luggage (and lots of it) but all the lower floors were occupied as I arrived early evening - and while they kindly stored some items and then carried the rest to the top floor, it would have been good to have been made aware. Facilities were excellent - but unfortunately there was no tea/coffee/water in the room. I realise I could have called them but on returning late at night it did not seem reasonable to chase for these items.

Rooms were spacious & beds were comfortable. Location was good.

There was no lift & there was no mention of it when booking. We were on the 4th floor which was a mountain after a long day walking around London. The basin is way too small you can't even rinse your mouth properly after brushing your teeth. We had booked 3 rooms but the room on the 4th floor was far less superior to the others on floors 3 & 4. The ceiling is very low..

great location - 5 mins from Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express. 3 mins from Hyde Park / Kensington gardens. 20 mins walk from Oxford Street. room compact but modern and clean. Nespresso in the room. comfortable bed and great shower if tiny bathroom!

very limited hanging space, three hangers and no hooks for a coat e.g. room only - no other facilities but plenty of shops/ cafes nearby. housekeeping quite late in the day. on arrival a dirty used glass left in room, another day. dirty glass not replaced. 4 night stay and toiletries not refilled.
