Park Grand Paddington Court

Upgraded to a club room which was pretty big and right next to the entrance so no stairs. The shower was fantastic and the room had a complimentary bottle of wine and water which was a nice touch. The breakfast selection was small but tasty and gave us what we needed for the day. The location is right next to Paddington station and 2 tube stops from Tottenham Court Road so absolutely perfect for the theatres.

The breakfast food was a little basic and the staff struggled to find our bags both times we left them in reception but nothing else.

The hotel is a short walk from Paddington Station and has lots nearby in terms of food and other shops. Hyde Park is a 5 to ten minute walk away too, if you wanted to cycle out there is a santander cycle rank outside the hotel. The hotel itself was clean enough and extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and the area it was in was quiet and quaint. The bathroom was clean and there was lots available in the room itself. Microwave, fridge tea and coffee facilities and it was great value for money.

I guess the only thing that got to me which wasn't a major issue. But the internal layout of the hotel is much like a maze. Trying to find your room can be a little bit of a struggle. There was refurbishment work going on so that was a bit loud to hear whilst waking up in the morning. Someone was smoking weed on the first floor.

the room we were given was facing a poorly kept courtyard and we kept the curtains closed for this reason. room service menu lacked variety and it was complicated to order room service.

Most things were great. Friendly staff and perfect location.

The original room we were given was tiny and the pictures were not a fair representation. We had to pay another £100 to upgrade to the size room we thought we were getting.

The hotel wasn’t that far from Kensington Gardens but I made the mistake of walking through after Dusk but at least there are turnstiles at Marlborough Gate, which is near the Italian Gardens Cafe. I was nicely welcomed when I first arrived. My compact double room had a comfy bed that I slept well in. There was breakfast available but I decided to have a lie in instead. I also like just the little touches to the room, bath mat for the shower, extra towels etc. I like the fact you can checkout at 11am. I stayed in their other hotel around the corner and that seemed to be high quality too. I recommend this hotel and I certainly would stay here again.

Good location, rooms we eventually were allocated were very good & comfortable.

Check-in wasn’t great. we arrived at 3.30, bearing in mind check/in is from 2. We completed registration forms for 2 rooms on 4th floor, receptionist then handed us keys for rooms on ground floor, queried this and was told 4th floor rooms would not be ready for 20mins so she was giving us ground floor rooms!! we said no thanks, we have just signed for 4th floor & do not want ground floor, we will wait the 20mins for rooms to be ready. After 15mins were told rooms would be ready in 30mins, but we could now have upgraded rooms on 1st floor, which we took. Single room was now Compact Double - note this room is very compact, will be very tight for 2 adults & luggage. Other room was now large twin/double and was very spacious.

Staff had trouble understanding English

Great location close to Padding Station, shops and restaurants. Good sized rooms, beds very comfy. Nice shower and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Good choice of full English and continental breakfast. There was a room to leave our luggage after check out, this was very much appreciated as we were not heading home straight away.

The reception staff were very helpful apart from one male member of staff who appeared to be very confrontational and we also witnessed this behaviour towards other guests. A little more thought with regards to layout of the rooms wouldn't go a miss. We couldn't open one of the wardrobe doors because it was blocked by the bedside table, and we couldn't hang our clothes up as the hanging rail in the wardrobe came forwards and there was a set of drawers underneath on top of which the safe had been placed. A mirror near a plug point for drying your hair would also be useful. The only mirror in my daughters room was in the bathroom.

It was great for access to Kensington gardens and the tube was only a couple of minutes down the road. The rooms were modern and had all you needed (including a small fridge, hairdryer and iron!) the mattress was really comfy and the air con meant we could choose the temperature of our room :)

The pillows were both feather which for us we didn’t like - we asked at reception for a new one but the night staff weren’t able to go into the room where they were stored :/ on the first day I noticed my towel had a stain on it - but these were changed without being asked and so felt there was no need to complain! :)

The hotel is situated in a perfect location. Short walk from Paddington Station - extremely safe pleasant area. The staff were most pleasant and helpful.

We did have to adjust to the heating system. But once we figured it out. All good. And only one slight issue. We are in our 70’s coming from Canada - so a 6 hour time change. We knew the room wouldn’t be ready upon our arrival at 9 and were OK with that. However, we were told to come back around 1:00. We didn’t enter our room until 3:00. I felt that considering we were seniors, the room could have been ready earlier.
