Lancaster Hall Hotel

Location is the best part of this property. They have basic rooms no frills, something ideal if you would be spending all day around London and need a place to crash that's in the central line. It gets hot in summers but they provide table fans which is not bad at all. The Lancaster gate Tube is like a 6 mins walk and the Paddington railway station is a 8 min walk. Very close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Lots of restaurants and breakfast places around the area and convenience stores that are open till late.

Location! Less than 10 minutes to Paddington on one side and also close to Hyde Park as well. Great transportation options. We took the Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington and just walked with our luggage to the hotel. Very convenient. They do have a lift. Hotel rooms and bathrooms were small (I knew this ahead of time) but we really only slept there so it didn't matter. Breakfast was adequate for us (meats, cheeses, veggies, breads, yogurts, fruit, cereal, etc) The rooms were a bit stuffy so staying in the summer without a good fan might be a problem. Overall it was perfect for our 3 night stay. Not fancy but served our needs well and we would stay here again. Staff was very helpful too.

Perfect for an single night stay for work. Room was fairly reasonably sized, beds comfortable and clean. Bathroom while a little dated, did absolutely everything it needed to. Water pressure and temperature of the shower was fantastic. Desk staff are great, got me a taxi booked and at the door in 5 minutes when Uber failed me. Checking in and out was super quick and simple. Area is super convenient for using public transport, Paddington station on the doorstep, 5-10 minute walk at most.

Quite expensive for what you get, but your milage may vary with time to booking and time of year. Sound proofing between rooms could be improved, could hear people using the bathroom in the room above me.

The property was very clean and reasonably priced. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They made our stay special with helpful tips and hints for navigating London. The location is fantastic only a short walk from either Paddington or Lancaster Gate stations. 2 minutes from Hyde park. The drinks and snacks are cheaper in the hotel than anywhere we found in London. So stock up before you leave the hotel. There is a little supermarket around the corner for any forgotten essentials.

Unfortunately, we stayed on the hottest day of the year. Without air conditioning it was impossible to sleep. It was truly unbearable. Any other day I’m sure it would have been a 10 out of 10 stay.

A good place to rest. Relatively close to grocery stores. Very close to Hyde Park, where you can eat and walk. The service is very nice. Smiling, friendly, helpful, happy to answer any question. I arrived before the check-in time and it turned out that the room was already waiting for me, which was a plus, because I could freshen up and rest after the trip. The toilet is quite small, but it was manageable. My room was at the back of the building, so I had no problem with noise from the front. Peace and quiet. The reception is open 24/7 so early check-out was no problem. I was traveling from Stansted airport but there was no problem with the connection ( I took the train and then a few stops on the subway ). I don't know what a longer stay would be like, but for a few days I can easily recommend this hotel.

There was no air conditioning in the room. It was almost 30 degrees outside during the day, and all I had to cool the room was a small fan that I had to put on my desk. A microwave would also be useful to heat up the meals purchased in the store, because not everyone wants to eat in a pub in the area, especially returning to the room around midnight, as I do after a concert.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, both days and nights: the lady during the day made an effort to get us into a room even before the official check in, which was really nice; whilst the night porters invited me to watch a movie with them whilst I was waiting for my food at night. The location of the hotel is spot on - 5mins on foot from Paddington. Housekeeping team is very welcoming, we were greeted and wished a good day when we checked in and upon departure. The beds are really comfy and the bedding was so clean and crisp, it was so nice to sleep. Loved the shower lime and lemongrass shower gel!!!

Perhaps consider removing the Bibles from the rooms and keeping them to be available on request. Given the multiculturalism and the diversity of faiths of people coming to stay in London, having Bibles in the rooms may be interpreted as lack of consideration or even as a statement. Neither of these things should be socially acceptable in a hospitality venue.

The location was very good. I loved that we could walk to Hyde Park and it was handy for bus, train and tube travel. There was a bus to London Zoo close by. The breakfast was fine although we preferred to go to local cafes and there are plenty of restaurants around to choose from. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. We needed to extend our stay by one night and that was no problem. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

It would have been nice to have air conditioning as the weather was very warm when we stayed. However the fan that was provided was ok. If they are planning to upgrade fans I would recommend they get tower fans.

This hotel is very close to Paddington Station and is in an area of London that felt safe especially in the evenings. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was cleaned each day. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the whole place. Our room was a basic double but everything in it worked well including the free wi-fi. We felt it was good value for London and hope to stay there again.

They did not serve a full English breakfast.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were very pleased that we were able to check into the hotel early and get a parking place in the hotel garage. The location of the hotel is excellent, just outside the Congestion zone, near bus, tube stations and Hyde Park! There are many choices of restaurants nearby. The lobby and breakfast room are spacious and modern. The room, though not large was comfortable. I liked that our room had two large windows which could be tilted and had a view over rooftops. The continental breakfast was very good with lots of pastry and bread options and a great coffee machine. We would definitely stay here again!

Every morning the elevator seemed to be used by some linen service moving bags labeled "work wear" from a semi truck parked on the street into the lobby elevator and then down to the laundry room in the basement 😳 I am not sure what was going on but the result was that it tied up both elevators when they were loading and unloading and made it difficult for guests to use the elevator to breakfast. It was a bit bizarre!

Myself and my 11year old daughter stayed for a night after attending a concert at Hyde Park. The rooms are a bit dated, but the comfy beds, great location in a quiet area, and friendly staff make up for this. I would definitely stay here again for a night or two. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, we went to the cafe across the way which was lovely. Easy to get to Paddington and Lancaster gate stations.
