The Dixon, Tower Bridge, Autograph Collection

Awesome location right next to Tower Bridge, walking distance to London Bridge and local shopping. Small boutique style feel with super friendly and accommodating staff! we arrived really early (around 09:30am) and they still have us the room at that time which was a huge relief as we had been travelling from 4am, were exhausted and needed to freshen up. We were nervous that a room would only be available at 3pm like most hotels… we were happily surprised!

The staff are friendly, the room was beautiful and the Cafe has the best coffee I've tasted in England so far

We paid a lot for a room and were hoping for a nice view of the city but ended up on lower ground level below the street , which was disappointing

Clean and simple.

Checkin was at 3pm and arrived at 3.05pm. Unfortunately the room wasn’t ready and was offered a complimentary drink in their on-site bar. The female asked me to write my phone number down and I was advised to wait for a phone call when the room would be ready. Had the drink and after waiting 50 minutes, I went back to checkin desk and asked how much longer before the room would be ready, and the operator checked the computer and said it’s ready. No phone call occurred. There were 3 staff members at reception during this transaction and were not busy! Not a good impression.

Loved the opulent entrance. Room was very comfortable and clean. Location was fabulous-walking distance to trains, underground, Borough Market (if you love foodie experiences, GO!), and London Tower to name a few. Umbrellas provided. It was my daughter’s 16th birthday, when we arrived, and we had spent most of the day on a train so I emailed the front desk, from the train, and asked if they could possibly leave a happy birthday note on her pillow so she can have a special arrival. They only had an hour to read the email and make something happen so I wasn’t expecting anything. when we arrived, there was just a clean room and no notes so I thought “oh well. I tried”. Then, there was a knock at the door and the wonderful man from the front desk had a tray with cake, macaroons, and a card with well wishes personally written by the staff members. My daughter was so touched and still has the card. That was so above and beyond!

Everything was great! If I have to choose something, here are the three things the management should note: My daughter got locked in the gym and the staff had to come let her out. They also were unable to get her key card to work for the exit. The plastic guard to the bottom of the shower door was missing which meant water leaked all over the bathroom floor unless we stuffed a towel along the bottom. We didn’t alert staff about it because it wasn’t a huge deal to us and I forgot to mention it on the way out. The light panel, underneath the bathroom sink, kept coming off and we kept sticking it back on. It’s a taped strip light so I think the tape is worn. But, really, minor things in a wholly decent experience at The Dixon.

It's an amazing building. It's history is fascinating. Staff and service brilliant. Rooms are smart and clean. Comfy beds. Products are Penhaligon's!

We checked in early (12.30) left our bags and went to sight see. At that point we were allocated a double room on the second floor. Sadly when we returned later that evening. We were on the second floor in a disabled room. Not what we asked for. Very disappointing indeed. Eventually at 11.30pm we were moved to a twin room. Wasn't impressed that our original room had been given to another guest who checked in after us. We received complimentary breakfast for all our inconvenience. We thank you for that.

The hotel is really nice and staff go out of their way to provide a welcoming stay. The breakfast uses quality ingredients and though ,at times a busy dining area, the staff work hard to provide a very good service. The bed itself, and the pillows are one of the Most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel, excellent. The blackout curtains do just that, super...and the room was lovely and clean.

I have to be honest and say that on this occasion I was disappointed in the price. I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of September, which would also have been high season and yet it was about £250 more this weekend ( if memory serves me right ) and that's a huge increase. Also , I was asked if I would like to up- grade, which I did but not sure I gained anything. The room was the same square footage, I already had breakfast included, there wasn't really anything I could see different. It's a shame because it has made me think I will try somewhere else next time. Also, there seemed to be extra charges for certain breakfast choices..is that really on when breakfast is already £20+ a head.

Great location, lovely building/decor, room was comfortable and clean. Easy checkout process with the express checkout letter through your door.

Don’t really have any negatives as the room was ideal for what we needed it for - a nice base for exploring London! We thought it was a bit strange that you only get 1 wine glass in a room booked for 2 people. Not a complaint but it amused us! There are 2 mugs and 2 tumblers in the bathroom though so really not a big deal at all and I’m sure you could request another glass if you needed to :)

I was not impressed with the parking charge of £39 per day. Reception informed of a 25% discount using the dixon code. Was not possible when paying for the ticket. It has tought me to check into a hotel with parking and not in the hub. I would suggest informing guest's of the tariff to drive through London

Very clean and boutique vibe. Love the spotless bathroom, slippers, gym facilities. Accommodated us with early checkin ( 11:30 am) since we have been traveling since 4:00am.

AC issue, first room in lower level had no AC! Lucky we were moved to 3rd floor. Same type room. On second night, the AC stopped working in wee hours. Facility person came and helped.

location is excellent with several different choices in terms of eating out. the hotel was very clean as well.

no face cloth available all week! strange and sad. people leaving food trays in the halls also annoying as sometimes they would stay there all day. the staff was very friendly and did what they could to help, but were clearly not from London. getting directions usually did not yield the best results. i hope this is taken in the spirit it is written, i.e. constructive comments for improving.
