CitySpace Borough

The location was perfect for us. Access to one of the trains is literally right next door. It was a nice walk to the Borough Market, Tower Bridge and the area. I thought it was a self check in property only but I was very happy to learn that if you enter the door to the right of the property door, there was a lady you can check in with and answer questions. She was there when we left also so that was nice. The room was clean and quiet. The pillows and bed linens were nice and comfortable. It’s not luxurious or spacious but for the location and the cost, I would stay here again!

The room was very small and very basic but we weren’t there long so it worked fine for our needs. The bed linens were clean and comfortable but something was funny with our mattress and it was kinda higher at our feet than by our head. I’m not sure why but like I mentioned, we weren’t there long and it was clean so it wasn’t a big deal to us. Be ready for tight, steep stairs with your luggage.

There’s a lot of good things that I have to say about it: 1. We were able to check in 4H prior to what was scheduled; 2. Even though the room was small, we could have a great stay at cityspace, and for the price that we paid, it was great considering that London is really expensive! 3. Front desk girls were super kind and helpful. 4. Toilets were new and always available. Shampoo and shower gel available for free. 5. TV and hairdryer inside the room.

The only thing they need to improve is that on the toilets, we didn’t have a toilet brush so no one was able to clean the toilet after use and it was disgusting. This is just a suggestion: under the coffee table inside the room, it was nice to have a mini fridge. It would be really helpful.

The location was fantastic. We wanted to be close to Southbank and The Globe theatre... it was a 10 minute walk away. Lots of pubs and eateries all close by with the Borough markets a stone's throw away. Right next to Borough underground, which was perfect to get to Heathrow. The room was clean and tidy along with the bathroom, which was very modern.

The narrow staircase was a bit of a juggle with larger bags. However, it wasn't insurmountable. Might be worthwhile advising travellers of this.

The room was just what I needed for a 2 night stay and it was right next to the underground which I used to get around the city so the location was convenient. One thing to note is, yes, they technically have air conditioning but it does not come with the room, it is something extra you have to rent. Last thing, it was super easy to get in and out from the building and my room and I didn’t hear much noise from neighbors.

The downside of the location was that it’s next to a pub and since the windows are open you hear a lot of noise but even then it wasn’t too bad.

The room was very clean and tidy, with hairdryier, available soups and available cookies and coffee. An high comfortable level of the bed and both the space in the room and in the private bathroom was good!! Check in instructions were really clear and of course there is a plus if you are willing to Discovery London by public trasports: the tube station 'Borough' Is literally CLOSE to the hotel!!!

Location was brilliant: a snug fit between Borough Tube station and a nice pub! Lots of pubs, eateries and shops for food, drink etc around. Short walk from Borough Market, the embankment and London Bridge for buses, trains and Uber boat taxis. We were a group for a weekend birthday celebration and wanted a fizz toast as presents and cards were opened. The staff kindly offered a lovely 'boardroom' for it, even provided glasses for 8 of us! How lovely was that? The staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were provided and happily topped up on request

When we booked we knew this was a basic option because of the price, rooms available with shared bathrooms and no lift. We chose the ensuite rooms. One of our rooms had a crack in the shower tray. Didn't fancy using it so just used shower room down the hall. Would have addressed issue if stayed longer. Another of our rooms had a leak from their shower into room below but it was quickly resolved. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and one of the wooden arms was badly chewed!?? Even after these grumbles though I still recommend it. Modern, clean and friendly.

The location was brilliant, with access directly to the subway station. The borough market is just steps away and so many other amazing places to visit. The room was a good size for two people and the window really helped bring in a breeze on the hot days. The bed was also incredibly comfy.

There was nothing we didn't enjoy about our stay.

Simple, but clean and rather comfortable, and right near the Borough Market - at this price it was an incredible deal. It's also situated litterally next door to the subway station - any point in London is easy to reach.

Without air conditioning rooms on top floors get infernally hot in summer. Also, web-based room lock interface is rather anoying.

Great location next door to Borough tube, always a good price for the location. Stayed here several times

No lift so it's pot luck how far up you'll need to drag your bags. Seems to be trying to minimise staff so it's remote check ins and door codes etc. - don't lose your phone! But still a good economical option for a couple nights in London.
