Convenient to close by Farringdon station, with newer remodeled rooms in great condition. Well decorated. They're generous with 2 x bottles of water per day and well as many snacks as you want. Staff is very helpful and pleasant to work with. The AC is super quiet and worked well with many fan speeds. The pub is popular and lively with many patrons coming in for a pint after work and spilling out onto the street. Farringdon is not everyone's first choice of places to visit, but that comes with certain pros/cons.

The stairs are steep, narrow, and twisty. There is no elevator. I would not recommend trying to haul anything up these stairs except a carry-on. That 50lb, 28" monster bag? Leave it at home. We were in room #102 (1st floor, i.e., above the ground floor) and we did hear muffled noise and music (not loud) from the pub in the evenings until they closed, which is I believe relatively early at 9pm on weekdays but 11pm on weekends. Be careful getting out of those bathtubs, they're a bit high and with no handholds! The old-fashioned (real) keys are a tad troublesome to use.

We stayed at the One Tun Pub and Rooms for three nights in June and enjoyed our stay. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was spotless. There were complimentary water bottles, candy, cookies, potato chips/crisps, and coffee pods in the room. The TV had lots of channels (although we couldn’t find any from the US) and the wifi was fine. Even though the rooms were above the pub, the noise wasn’t a problem for us. In that area of Central London, many people are drinking inside and outside the bars after the work day ends so it’s quite a scene. The location is a short walk from the Farringdon Underground Tube Station and Elizabeth Line underground coming from Heathrow. There’s a Sainsbury's Market about a five-minute walk away. If you buy alcohol or use a US credit card at the self-serve checkout there, an attendant needs to come over to approve that. We had a Thai food dinner at the pub with a 10% discount and it was very good. We also had dinner just down the street at the Sir John Oldcastle Bar. They have very good prices for a “meal deal” with a burger and beer. They don’t have wait staff to take your order so you have to do that on a phone or at the bar. They then deliver it to your table number. There’s an odd “no music” policy, but it’s very noisy as everyone seemed to be talking loudly. Even so, we liked it so much that we went back again the next night. The only downside at the One Tun is that there’s no elevator and the stairs are extremely steep. Dennis and the staff were very helpful to bring our heavy bags up to our room when we checked in and back down again when we checked out. The price for the lodging was as expected for the area. We had a nice stay so we’d recommend it.

Absolutely superb. The staff are charming and helpful and the details in the room suggest that someone has given great thought to ensuring that everything is perfect and someone checks the details. Bedding and pillows very comfortable, good quality tea coffee etc provided and (a nice touch) fresh milk available on request at the bar downstairs

The only drawback is unavoidable because of the nature of the building: the room was quite small and the climb to rooms on the very top floor is arduous but even this is turned into a plus because the staff eagerly offer to assist with heavy luggage

excellent location with lovely rooms above a very nice pub. well furnished with lots of little treats to enjoy including good quality tea and coffee. very friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. plenty of nice bars and restaurants near by.

The room was superb, decorated to perfection. It was clean and very, very close to the Farringdon tube stations. The pub downstairs was friendly and always welcoming - though the sound never made it up to the rooms which was fantastic. Highly recommend the chili honey margarita! The staff were really nice and I will be staying here as often as I can from now on.

I could imagine someone who can't handle stairs wouldn't like the journey to the rooms, as it's all upstairs without an option for a lift. However the team carried my luggage up and were really helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable with enough room for two people. Room was renovated so was modern and had everything you'd expect of a hotel room. Great location. Really close to public transport including the metro and other lines. Walking distance to central London and most attractions.

It was exactly as presented on Bookings.com. It is above a pub, so can get a little noisy, but nothing too bad at all. Somewhat overpriced for what you get, but it was peak summer season, so to be expected. Wi-Fi could have been better.

The location is terrific. Just a minute from the tube but still quiet after the pub closes. Our room was very large and quaint. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. You are provided with water and snacks. There is a spear entrance to the rooms next to the pub. We were so fortunate that George carried our luggage for us. We are in the pub one night and the food was really good. It was charming and one of my best stays in London. Highly recommend!

The room was very comfortable, spotless and the shower was amazing!! Big fluffy robe, towel warmer with giant fluffy towels in the bathroom, Netflix and just a two minute walk from the farringdon station. Great location, easy access to EVERYWHERE via the tube! Very friendly staff. We were able to check in early after a crazy 3 hour flight delay. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the pub but found other great food options near by. Absolutely adored all the dog portraits.

The 3 1/2 flights of narrow steep stairs to the room. Thankfully George helped carry my monstrous bag up so we all only made one trip. The actual keys to the room were charming but big so kind of a hassle to lug around.

Although not in the most active neighbourhood, some cool pubs can be found around. Underground stations very close. The room itself is nice and cosy, reasonably large for London. Good quality beds, we slept very well. The bathroom although quite small, is nicely designed and, thanks to the large mirror, quite pleasant to stay in. You may nonetheless rather get out of the bathroom to dry with the towel. Nespresso, complementary water and chocolate.

The view from the room on the road is not very nice, let the curtains down, they are here for a reason :) Beware of the stairs, quite sharp indeed, but if you hold the ramp, no issue.

The One Tun Pub & Rooms is so awesome, I found myself telling everyone I know who goes or lives in London to have their next stay or family friends stay there. The boutique hotel decorations and comforts were exceptional. Loads of design brilliance everywhere you looked. The cubbies for clothing and hiding suitcases were designed perfectly. The bathroom was entirely modern but not boring. The design carried from space to space flawlessly. We even had a private, outdoor terrace off our room! Then there was the coffee service in room. Every convenience you could want including a frother for your milk. And they provide little bottles of milk every day - just ask. Tea kettle, snacks, and fresh bottles of water daily. NO plastic. The location is tucked away on Saffron Hill and yet just a stone's throw from the Tube. The "pub" noise was not an issue AT ALL. The pub was for after work visitors and quiet over the weekend. In every direction walking distance are excellent cafes', restaurants and little parks. We walked to St. Paul's. Visually stimulating. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED The One Tun Pub & Rooms. Excellent value.

This is hardly significant, but if not dealt with, could bother a future visitor: Keep up on the dusting.
