The Barbican Rooms

The staff was amiable, especially Carla was super helpful and supportive. There was a mistake about my stay; it was supposed to be Barbican Room but the residence was closed and the information was not given to me before my arrival at the hotel. Carla recovered from the unexpected situation very well.

You took out extra money (50 GBP) as a deposit I didn't know about before then. And it is still pending on my account. Could you please finalize this as soon as possible?

when we booked we thought it was above a pub stay,when we arrived we was shocked to learn it was across the road with gold signs and red carpet and rope🫶🏼 was very posh! they even upgraded our room to a room with a living room! was ideal location very close to all forms of transport, great uber eats delivery around area.

the phone didn’t work was unable to contact room service or reception,however they could call us. we always remove the bedding before leaving and found bloodstains on the duvet. we wanted an ice bucket with room service though to the room however made my partner walk around the main road to one of there 3 hotels to get himself.

I was dazed and amazed by this booking. I had no idea the luxury I had booked for myself, the pictures don't do the rooms justice. As a solo female traveller I was really pleased with how close to various transport routes and options the hotel was and how safe I felt in the hotel itself. Most of all the room was so incredibly comfortable, the bed was perfect and the bathroom was fantastic. The staff were lovely too and the late chrck out tome was a real bonus. I would definitely return here and highly recommend.

Great location, very clean rooms apart from maintenance issues

Facilities in room were not up to usual standard (5th time staying) One tea bag in room, not possible to get more in the evening after I rang reception and was told so. Heat wasn't working, bathroom could have done with some TLC. Seems to be neglected regarding maintenance. They obviously know this but think it deems fit for customers.

The property was kept very well, had a lovely bed and bathroom plus a fridge which was an exceptional bonus that I had my fingers crossed for. The room was cleaned everyday and it felt very comfortable.

This isn’t the property’s problem, but I wish the area had more nearby eating options. It just required a bit more walking to get to something decent, but on the flip side, St Paul’s Cathedral was an easy walk away which was convenient. The only other thing was the confusion in finding the place. On Booking.com, there were pictures of the pub (which ended up being across the road from it), so I went there. The pub staff then directed me down the street to a different building where I then received the keycard and was told to backtrack to where it actually was - wasn’t the easiest accommodation to find! 🤣

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. We were upgraded on arrival to the Montcalm Club and the room was amazing. Treated like royalty by the hotel staff and invited to the club bar for free drinks. Brendan, the Reception Supervisor, was lovely and made sure our stay was perfect, he even emailed us after we had left and had remembered all the details of our stay which was a lovely touch. Considering this was the cheapest hotel we found for the night of our stay, we honestly felt very spoiled and will definitely be visiting again. Concierge also looked after our luggage while we explored London on the day of our departure. great service.

I don’t usually write reviews but wanted to leave some feedback for this excellent hotel. The reception staff were attentive, professional and so kind and helpful despite the late check in. I would love for the staff on this shift to get some recognition for their excellent customer service skills. We were also given a complimentary upgrade and helped to our room. The room itself was beautiful with excellent facilities. I cannot recommended enough and will be sure to stay here again. We also had a Sunday roast at the Jagged Hare which was outstanding. 5*

The bed was super comfortable, and the location was fantastic for the event we were going to. Breakfast wasn't included, but we paid for that when we arrived (£20 a day instead of £25 that Booking.com wanted). Breakfast selection was good and tasty

The size of the room. The room that I was in was small, the other room I booked for my colleague was tiny and didn't even have a double bed. I know it's in London, but £260 a night per room for that size is crazy. By the time I'd added a couple of shopping bags to the room, I felt like there wasn't much room to move around

The rooms are bigger than most hotels in London for the price. Also the location was great and they are multiple train stations around . The decor of the room is nice too. The staffs are so amazing and extremely helpful. I enjoyed my stay! Very good value for money👍🏼

They need a bit of maintenance here and there. I especially didn't like the fact that there's a big machinery sitting at the entrance door behind the courtyard. It looks very unpleasant and should be removed.

Excellent staff and a lovely warm welcome on arrival. We arrived early and checked in left our luggage and left the hotel to return later. On arrival back, a lovely member called Brendan advised our room was still not ready but he would upgrade us to the main hotel Club Room and breakfast would be included in this. That was such a lovely gesture and we were more than happy. We got to the room which was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely amenities in the bathroom, tea coffee in the room and 2 bottles of water.

My only issue was that the room looked onto another building so it made the room very dark even though outside was very bright. However I cannot wait to return here as the staff and the hotel are beautiful
