Middle Eight - Preferred Hotels and Resorts

Location was excellent, check in was easy and welcoming. Rooms were clean and modern with a luxury feel.

When we returned to our room after breakfast a cleaner was already in our room even though we had not checked out yet. We politely started to pack our things thinking she would leave as we were now back in the room however she stayed and carried on as we were trying to pack. After around 10 mins we said we would like to get changed please and then she left. Around 5 minutes later she came back into our room collected her trolley spoke some words in a different language and left. This was quite an awkward experience and we felt very rushed to leave.

The hotel's location is excellent, within a 10-minute walk to the British Museum, National Gallery, and Covent Garden. It's only a 2-minute walk to the subway station. The rooms are very modern, with comfortable bedding. The hotel's fragrance is elegant, and the provided amenities like shampoo are tastefully chosen, with a pleasant scent and excellent quality. The bathrobes are very comfortable, and items like tea and coffee cups are also tastefully selected. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and highly professional; they go above and beyond to assist with any issues. We had a perfect holiday at the hotel, and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to London! It felt just like being at home.

The hotel breakfast is very expensive and has limited options, but there are many delicious breakfast places near the hotel. So, if you don't like the hotel breakfast, there are plenty of other choices nearby.

This was my third time at Middle Eight. Two times were amazing. The staff is great, location is perfect and very close to Holborn station. The room is very nice and spacious. Clean as well which is the most important thing to me. Beds are also very comfortable.

As I said 2/3 visits were great. Both of these I was there on weekdays. The last time I was there on a Friday night which was terrible as I couldn’t sleep due to the nightclub next door. The staff was helpful and tried to make sure the neighbors kept the noise down a bit. But unfortunately that didn’t help. Evidently, they’ve managed to get a different room for me which wasn’t as noisy. So they did solve it but it could a long time. I’m not sure if the noise goes for every weekend.

Even the lowest grade rooms are spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Location is great for Covent Garden and theatre district.

Check in is unnecessarily time consuming. Associates have to fill in every field in their system via a tablet and insist on photo id to complete and again to release keys if room not ready at check in. Booked online and have stayed before - should have my details and process me more quickly when I arrive. You do get a glass of prosecco to compensate while you wait though - so not all bad. Could only switch off the air con by taking my key card out of the slot. Turning "off" or adjusting temp didn't have any effect.

We loved the style of the hotel and it definitely has a luxury feel for the price you pay. They left a cute happy anniversary gift in the room. The room was clean and they came and did housekeeping every single day , they changed your bedsheets and towels I think that’s really good service . Rooms are high tech with chrome cast on the tv too and the gym on the bottom floor is really high tech too

Way too expensive to not include breakfast or any little bits really. And bar was very very expensive so we had to go and buy our own stuff from shops . Staff are good but when we checked in they never explained anything to us like where the gym is , how the housekeeping works and other stuff too would’ve been better for a more helpful welcome to our stay

I already have ownership of a resort in Turkey so I have an understanding of what it takes to operate a Hotel. We always tell our management to feed down to the staff that a rule book is only guidance. Not a Bible you must live by. I seem to find in this case that staff find it easy to work of the rule book less thinking to do . For this hotel the bellboys/food and beverage staff are fantastic. They don't live by the rules and regulations they bend over backwards ( maybe it's because of tips I would be happy to give $. The most shocking.… I leave it there

Great location. Spacious rooms compared to other hotels. Very new and excellent interior and design. Walking distance to L square, covent garden, and many restaurants, stores, and theaters. Friendly staff who are eager to help.

House Keeping could be better (mostly just preps bed and changes towel). Towels are worn and need to be changed. I'm not unhappy, I'm just providing feedback to the hotel. Nextdoor bar can occasionally be heard with loud music, but not enough to distrub sleep at night, and not every night. The pros far exceed any negative, and I'm very happy with the stay.

Staff hotel was excellent. Room was lovely Location was superb. Would recommend to anyone Looking forward to our next stay and experience more of the hotel and what it has to offer

Location was good even due it was not centered at covent garden but a short walk from the center. Hotel was very nice everything was amazing including the bed the room and the extras. Reception stuff were very nice and helped in everything.

The hotel have stiff roles that are sometimes too british. Some of the staff are NO people meaning like to say NO instead of trying to solve an issue. But they are all nice and try there best the problem is the extra roles which give the feeling of a camp and less of a five star hotel. The breakfast is a la cart and I asked for a BLT which I was given for 4 days by the same waiter and when she was not working every waiter and there boss keept saying NO it is not possible to make untill I was so frustrated and just asked for the ingredients and I will make it my self than they understood the stupidity of there answer and made what I wanted....this was just an example of the problems in NO people that are infesting this lovely hotel.

Hotel is located 100 m far away from underground station Holborn - central line, which is ggod for someone who likes to discover London by underground. The others can visit the haerd of London by foot as the hotel is built right in the haert of London. Very good beds, Modern bathroon with a proper shower. Mini bar for free (non alcoholics). Good climatic control. News paper after our choice every mornig for free.

No parking place. Recommendation for a safe parking was given by the personal - however would prefer that you can book a place in the respective garage via the hotel prior the arrival. Garage itself was perfekt, very good recommendation.
