Located in the middle of Louth, an historic market town on the edge of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds. A warm welcome at reception, who showed us to our room. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated in a modern style. Breakfast was served in the pleasant bistro restaurant and although the choice wasn’t exceptional, the food was excellent, plentiful and pleasantly served.

Difficult to find anything not to like about the property. Being in the old town centre does mean there’s a walk of a few minutes from the car park (although the hotel arranged a parking pass which was welcome).

Location, friendly staff, food at breakfast, even though the parking was a 4 min walk away it wasn't a hassle, really large bedroom that was nicely furnished. A washing machine was advertised as being in the room which is why we booked. However, that listing was a mistake and has now been deleted. That listing error was quickly rectified by a washing machine being made available to us by the reception staff. It was handled well.

We did request toast at breakfast which didn't arrive. However, in the end the delicious cooked breakfast was enough food. To be fair to the gentleman taking the breakfast orders, he was busy and delivered friendly service too, just an oversight on his part.

Really comfortable bed and room, good size, nice toiletries and extras in room (tea, Nespresso machine etc), breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and staff were lovely and helpful. The decor itself is super nice. Really clean and looked after hotel. Loads of nice places to eat and drink all within walking distance. Taxis were reliable and often. Excellent location to most things but also has its downsides...

The location itself was a little noisy at night from a nearby bar, finished at 12am so was okay. Early morning market traders were putting up stalls which was again noisy with the window open as it was warm, but was lovely to be able to walk out onto the market. If you are a light sleeper I would request a room not facing this way. There were also noisy pigeons above us - sadly we are quite sensitive to sounds so this was a bit annoying but didn't detract from our stay. Also the bar and restaurant are not open past 5/6 which was slightly unfortunate as we wanted a cocktail in the hotel, this could have been made clearer on booking but we found the local Blocktails bar was excellent!

Excellent location. Really nice decor and the touch of being able to buy the fresh plants that surrounded the entrance and dining room was lovely. Super clean and modern. Great room amenities- coffee machine, kettle and quality bathroom products The White Company. Fabulous.

Nothing really, only that there wasn’t a blind or netting over our 3rd floor window. It’s very public outside on the courtyard and overlooking buildings, albeit feet and feet away, but could maybe get a good look inside is all I felt. A modesty netting/ blind is a good way to describe what should be there.

It was really good value for a sumptuous room and bathroom which were very clean. The history of the building was interesting, and the general fittings in the common areas were lovely and were in keeping with its heritage. The breakfast in the morning in the bistro was nicely cooked, but as hotel guests, cereal as well as a cooked breakfast would have improved the experience. Again the bistro was finely decorated making for a quality ambience. Really enjoyed the stay and would return.

Not being able to park outside the hotel on arrival, and the overnight parking being a little distant.

Bed was comfy, pillows were comfy, usually regret not bringing my own when staying in hotels but they were perfect, staff were welcoming, shower was brilliant-good water pressure and hot. Room was warm but they had an air cooler machine which helped, I put it in front of the window with the window open and let it circulate which worked brilliantly. Location is fantastic, bang in the middle of everything.

Being woken up by the guys setting up for the market--- which is completely out of the hands of the hotel.

Great location. Decent room although stayed before in larger room which was worth paying extra for. Excellent bathrooms in the hotel and good showers. Breakfast always very good and staff all courteous and helpful.

Rooms on front can be a bit noisy. However stayed before on Sundays so usually quiet. We stayed Friday and so set up for the market started early on Saturday plus lots of people out that night. We had windows wide open as it was very hot weather so unfair to say it’s always noisy.

Excellent location on the Cornmarket, close to shops, pubs, etc. and market day is Wednesday. Free parking available at a nearby car park (which we didn't use as parked at a friend's house). Lovely modern decor with a sumptuous twist, very comfortable bed, nice common areas, good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice shower room with excellent power shower and lots of hot water. All looked new. As pre-warned, there is no parking on site, no lift, and all the rooms are up two flights of stairs (so we packed accordingly and it wasn't a problem for us).

Only downside was that the bar/cafe closes at 6pm, and no staff available after 8pm, so no lounge/bar service or common seating areas. There are plenty of other places to eat/drink nearby (although Louth seems to shut early, eg some pubs shut at 9.30pm weekdays). Given the size of the room (large), it would have been good to have had an extra armchair in the room.

Clean, nicely furnished, good sized room. The hotel is central in Louth on a quiet market square. Close to good pubs and restaurants. Staff are good. Good breakfast. Good arrangement for parking. An electronic parking arrangement is in place for a nearby public car park. Our room was room 4 overlooking the market square.

It was noisy on market days whilst the stalls we're set up from about 6am. We didn't mind as the bustle of the market outside added to the location. The car park is a few minutes walk meaning you need to carry your bags through the town. The hotel doesn't have a lift. Some people my find the stairs difficult.

Very comfortable bed in a quiet room, spotlessly clean bathroom with nice thick towels, very helpful staff, excellent position in town. Everything was very clean even the brass plaques all over the hotel, so hats off to the cleaning staff. The breakfast was very good also.

The colours in the room! Dark green, whether it’s meant to be ‘Georgian ‘ colours in keeping with the period or not, it’s a very dingy and depressing colour. It doesn’t give you a feeling of comfort or ease. The mirrors in the room and bathroom in particular, were so high up that I couldn’t see in them!( obviously hung by a tall man!)
