Oaklands Hall Hotel Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

The breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve ever had. My wife and I had the smoked salmon 3 egg omelette an drink it was so delicious. My son had the full English and it was very delicious. We liked the fact all the cooked breakfast meals were not at all greasy. There was lots of variety of the non cooked foods. The bread, the little pain au chocolat and raisin were the softest and tastiest I’ve ever known. What we liked about the breakfast room as well is the music was not loud. The car park has lots of room and I’d located close to the front so it’s easy to unload all your luggage. We stayed in a family room where there was plenty of wardrobe space and the chairs at the table in the room where really comfy. The beds were so big (super king size) and mattress was so comfy and soft we fell asleep so quickly. We enjoyed it that much we booked another weeks stay six months later.would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The bins in the room were not really big.

Very pleasant surroundings and good location

We had a pleasurable stay in a nice hotel but it lacked just a few refinements that would have made it very nice. Small details really, we had room 22 reasonable size, toilet roll holder was I a stupid place, work had been done under the bath but the panel hadn’t been replaced properly and sealed. No light in the area of the wardrobe area which is generally dark anyway. Little things in the dining room and bar that stop it being very nice instead of just nice.

Beautiful Location. Beautiful building. Quick, easy, friendly check in. Good sized room.

The breakfast.. Not much choice.. Had to walk into a different room to get our breakfast and walk back with breakfast through the reception.. Breakfast items were in heated trays but hardly any choice.. Rock hard over cooked sausages.. Over cooked rubbery fried eggs.. No other choices of eggs.. It was just all dry and very unappealing.. No yoghurts and only machine tea and coffee.. Didn't eat half of it.. Very poor and disappointing.

Even though the hotel was busy with a wedding Gemma on reception made us most welcome and check us in within minutes and even though the bar was busy with a wedding Gemma still found time to get us a drink Wants the wedding party had left the bar the bar person another Gemma came and asked if were were ok while we waited for our friends to turn up.Once they had the young man Jack (bar person) came to us and offered to fetched more drinks to save us going to the bar.All evening Gemma and Jack couldn't do enough for us all weather it was serving our evening meal to getting drinks all three of them may our stay 100% great and will will be back

The only thing I can find wrong was the mattress was rather thin and uncomfortable

We loved the decor of the hotel, very comfortable and in keeping with the building. Our room was very clean with everything we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The cleaning lady was lovely!! We booked in to the restaurant and the food was spectacular! The gardens were well kept and we loved sitting outside watching the rabbits and squirrels! Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice!! Over all it was a wonderful stay for a relaxing weekend with my husband.

The whole experience from check in to check out. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. All the staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble and just a great place to stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking, nice grounds to wander for a bit of fresh air. Good fully stocked bar. We have stayed previously and will be returning in August. From our experience we would recommend Oaklands Hall

Nothing to not like

Staff all friendly, very easy check in/out Good breakfast and evening meal Bar well stocked Good access and large car park Room whilst not large was perfectly adequate for a 2 night stay, with everything you need. Bathroom very clean.

Nothing really, sometimes travel with dogs so a few dog friendly rooms would be ideal, but the car park has area enough to exercise dogs and being off the main road is quite safe to leave them in vehicle

We have stayed here several times before and same as always, lovely helpful friendly staff. Rooms very clean as is the whole hotel, bar, restaurant, toilets. A misunderstanding had occurred regarding the rooms two of us had booked, however despite the late hour all was resolved with now dramas or fuss. Great hotel with great breakfast, didn't have dinner this time as only staying one night. We will stay again

Staff were very welcoming. When there was a problem with our first room, we were more or less automatically shifted to a higher standard one. We very much enjoyed the food at dinner

The toilet blocked after our first of three nights. The breakfast choices could have been made clearer, and it was only on one of the days that we were handed a menu. For instance, we would have wished the availability of fruit to be made clearer. I am not sure how regularly the dinner menu changes, but I can imagine it could become a bit repetitive for longer stay guests

The hotel is in a great environment with a view on a very nice field. It's also extremely close to all amenities and several beautiful towns. The staff is very friendly and helpful which to us is one of the most important aspects of visiting a hotel.

The only downside was the beds, mattresses were too hard. This is by no means a deal breaker as we've seen worse.
