Humber Royal Hotel

The rooms were so spacious and really nicely decorated and had everything you needed like hairdryer, iron, tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. It was lovely and clean with white bedding and really white fluffy towels. Where it is located is very peaceful and quiet. Bed was really comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and everything was fresh. All the staff we spoke to were really nice and friendly.

The room was a bit hot so maybe provide a fan in the summer. The outside is very uninviting makes the hotel look very rundown. At first we thought we had come to the wrong hotel as it looked derelict with peeling paint and rotten wood on the outside and potholes in the car park but they do say never judge a book by its cover and when you walk inside the hotel it's a very different story.

Don't let the exterior put you off,it's actually quite nice inside. We stayed here for for a pit stop,the staff were very nice and friendly,the hotel was lovely and warm Our room was ready 2 hours before the check-in time which was very much appreciated We booked a room with a balcony which was lovely just a shame we couldn't smoke on it The room was big,very warm and clean But we did find two denim shirts underneath the mattress left behind by previous guests ( my guess is the wife hid them from the husband cause she didn't like them cause I'd have done the same,if i had a husband lol) lovely big bed,quite comfy but let down by the pillows,they were too hard. The bathroom was lovely and clean,maybe just need to pay more attention to the bottom of the shower curtain which was a little black and grotty along the bottom ( nothing the washing machine won't sort out) Yes I'd stay here again ( if it was a pit stop or I on was on business)

Check in process seamless. Staff efficient attentive and very friendly. Easy to navigate around the building lift to upper floors wheelchair access free car park bar and restaurant next to reception. Fantastic hot and cold buffet choices for breakfast and even offered to cook off menu if there was something else we wanted!

Rooms and lift areas on third floor very warm. Did have a balcony room so opened the doors leading out to the balcony and the window upon entering which helped.

Large comfortable rooms with plenty of seating, a handy table as well as a desk/cabinet and hanging space We had the disabled access room with a well appointed walk in shower perfect for my needs. Plenty of parking and good disabled access. All the hotel staff were very smart, polite and helpful.

All the hotel rooms overlooked gardens and Grimsby golf course, except ours which was at the end of the building overlooking the roof of another building. To be fair we were offered a free upgrade but we had to decline the offer as I needed the room with the walk in shower.

The hotel was very good value for money and no car parking charges which great for such a big hotel. Bed was comfortable and we were provided with tea and coffee. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

The room and bathroom was cold even with the radiator on but did warm up over the two days of being there. No ironing board in the room and the hairdryer didn’t work. The shower wasn’t the best. The pillows were very flat so didn’t sleep as well as we’d hoped.

Big room . Plenty of draw space . Plenty of hot water for bath or shower. Overall clean and tidy . A very big car park .

The room was a bit cold and the radiator was not switched on due to summer . Could have done with an additional heater . Also the room is not very well lit due to 40 watt bulbs . the pillows were very flat .

We had a twin room with a balcony and a nice view over the golf course. Being able to open the door onto the balcony was very useful as the weather was very warm. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly, humorous and helpful. The room was bright and the beds were comfortable. We decided to get a bus to Cleethorpes rather than drive and there was a bus stop very close by.

There was only 1 chair on the balcony and at night the lighting was a little dim. The bathroom was not stocked v well (eg only half a toilet roll).

Staff are all really friendly and helpful and my room service was tasty and hot. I received a lovely warm welcome which was needed after a long day visiting my Mum at hospital. The room was lovely, especially the balcony and view of the golf course- definitely worth paying a tiny bit extra for a balcony room.

It was very hot in the room and it doesn't have air con, although we were given a fan which helped.

The room was absolutely lovely and the balcony was a great added extra. Our young son loved sitting on the lounge seat out there. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff were helpful. We had a great stay and it was such good value.

The room was very hot due to the weather. It would be great if a fan was already provided, but a member of staff brought one quickly

The room was clean and awesome the bed was comfortable I slept well, the lift was great as being disabled I was on the first floor I paid for the meal and drinks plus the breakfast was excellent as I had one on my last day as I slept in on my first day

There was nothing too dislike about the place or the staff were very helpful they could not do enough for you in helping you
