Good location for our party. The bar area was very well decorated and trendy. The garden area was very nice with an amazing view. Easy access to High Street for shops, cafes and restaurants. We had breakfast in The Summer Cafe and an evening meal in The Birdcage which served delicious pizzas. We had tea facilities and a coffee pod machine in the room. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We didnt hear any noise from the bar area late evening on Saturday even though it was busy. The bathroom was very clean with a good shower.

The room we booked was quite small, access to the bed was limited and not a lot of storage. There was a party on the Friday evening which was quite noisy, especially for the elderly person in our party staying in the first stable room. This spilled out onto the main street later so was just under our room but by midnight everything was silent. The staff seemed to be in control of the situation. Access to the car park was hairy! Considering the room size and no breakfast it was quite expensive but suited our needs in terms of location very well. We would book to stay here again.

Friendly staff, location, good food for lunch. Rooms were recently renovated. We were in room 3 above the bar at the front of the hotel overloooking Malmesbury High Street. As a base to attend a concert at Westonbirt Arboretum it worked very well. Parking available in the rear of the hotel, getting to it via a narrow access arch.

Rooms in the main building are small but very comfortable so opt for ones in the extension at the back if you want more space. No breakfast options in the hotel in the hotel but good options in The Summer Cafe opposite or at Jackdaws Cafe close by in the Town Hall.

Room and cleanliness were top notch. The tapas menu was very good. Live entertainment on Friday and Saturday made it a great weekends stay.

There was no breakfast but we found a great cafe just a minutes walk away. A little surprised to find out the bar closed at 10:30. Entrance to the car park was thru an extremely narrow archway which needed very careful navigation or you were in danger of scraping your car. There were alternatives if you didnt want to take the risk.

A great location right in the middle of Malmesbury. Atmospheric bar area and the food looked good although we didn’t eat. Lovely views from the outside seating area.

Toilet far too close to heated towel rail - either burnt knees or an awkward position for number 2s. Our key fell off and went under the bed - the cleaners need to move the divan (easy) to hoover underneath occasionally as it was extremely dusty. A shame breakfast not available, as is clear when booking, but saved by excellent choices close by.

Rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, and very comfortable. Location in middle of town was great. Plenty of car parking spaces.

The narrow entrance to the car park, but it’s an old building and the entrance is meant for horse and carts not modern cars, so not really a complaint, and it was fine when you got used to it - put your wing mirrors in!!

Comfortable bright room with a great shower. It's fantastic to have an affordable option in the centre of Malmesbury. We had our dog with us and stayed in one of the rooms outside of the main hotel. There's a lovely new outdoor seating area there with a fantastic view - lovely sunset. The hotel doesn't do breakfast, which wasn't a problem for us, and there are plenty of places a very short walk away. We plan to return!

Nothing.

The hotel is in a very central location and parking is available on a first come first served basis although I understand there is a car park and on street parking close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable, current covid guidelines were followed and our room was good value for money considering the location. There was no breakfast available at this time but there are plenty of good cafes close by. There is a kettle and capsule coffee maker in the room and milk, tea and coffee capsules were provided We received very prompt answers to our queries. The room was very quiet despite the location above a pub and the main street. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Malmesbury or the surrounding area

There is no reception overnight or in the morning but this is due to the current covid restrictions. It did not effect our stay and there is a drop box to leave your room key

The size and location of the room. We stayed in one of the stable rooms outside which we loved. The location. The outdoor area. The friendly staff. The food. The fact that they are dog friendly. The rooms are decorated beautifully. The tapas food they offer was delicious. Lovely pub.

Could do with a deep clean. On closer inspection you could see There were cobwebs in the room. The toilet was dirty and the mirrors and floors needed a good scrub.

A lovely old inn, well restored, but obviously slightly limited in facilities. The bathroom was small and there was no breakfast on offer The staff were helpful and welcoming.

Given the limitations of the building, I think the Kings Arms offers a great service It’s well situated and perfect for a weekend stay in this beautiful little town

It was a last minute replacement for us as our Air BNB place cancelled on us, so, we really didn't have many options. However, I love staying in old pubs anyway so I thought this was a neat experience. The room was very clean, updated and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the table near the window for my morning reading. The tapas were great and so was the location. It had a lovely beer garden in the back with a tremendous view. As it was right on the high street, I thought our room would be loud but it really wasn't noticeable.

There wasn't any food other than the tapas but the town had plenty of options. My wife was not a fan of the bed as it was too hard for her but I thought it was great. She also needs really dark rooms to sleep well and the blinds do not cover the window well as it is a very old pub and the windows are not exactly square. The price of £100 a night seemed a bit too pricey for a pub but as we had no other options and it was in the height of the summer break, I felt it was a good deal. That seems to be the going rate these days anyway.
