The breakfast was very nice. The location is very good. The added extras in the room are a lovely idea, and appreciated. The staff were all very efficient and really friendly and helpful. I loved the ethos of the hotel.

If I have to put negative points 1) the view wasnt the prettiest (the roof) but not much can be done about that. 2) The creaky floor, but again nothing can be done about that either. These points are negatives towards the building and the position of the building only and not towards the way the hotel is run and this didnt spoil my stay in any way.

It was ideal for us to take a stroll around Monmouth and Creates is a beautiful place to stay. Breakfast was absolutely spot on, well presented and lots of choice and plenty of it, no buffet breakfast here, table service, which we loved. Staff were really friendly too, there were 2 girls in particular, one from Bristol and another who had only been there 3 weeks who was also very helpful and chatty. Great place.

Nothing really, we stayed in the top twin bedroom and had beautiful views. Toilet lid did keep coming down on you when sitting on loo but that was quite funny.

Creates is a nice B+B and would be excellent with a few things addressed. One of the owners sent us a great text on the morning of our stay telling us how to book in and where the best parking was. However, he said in the text that photos of the key storage would follow, sadly the photos didn't arrive on my phone. We worked this out for ourselves no problem, so we opened the key box, but- no keys, not a major problem in its self as there was a mobile number and someone came and let us in, but we did have to stand in the pooring rain with our luggage for 3-4 mins and although the staff member was lovely.. it was just a little niggling. However, don't let this put you off, it was a minor issue and the B+B is very nice.

you need to change your sausage supplier for breakfast.. sorry, just not the best.

The whole experience was excellent. Staff were all fantastic, really pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was lovely, loved the decor and ambience. The food was superb. NB: They do a lot of gluten free, which is great for me. Especially liked the caramel apple crumble and American pancakes. Room was really nice.

Only issue with our room, Deer, was a beam right over the shower and at 6'4" I simply couldn't use it. Had a bath instead. There was also a lot of noise from the street outside from quite early, before 6.00 for sure, but that's not Creates fault, perhaps a room on the back would help.

Communication was excellent. Check in easy. Room not quite as big as photos made it look but all very clean. Central of town but not noisy after 11.30 ish when pubs had vacated.

Lovely stay in a clean room in a central location. Great communication. We stayed in Hares Warren. I would personally have hidden the TV wires with trunking as they look untidy. Door catches on carpet as you enter also but these things are just mentioned as we are quite critical. You have a nice little place and all the staff are lovely. Throughout our stay there was a constant beep every 30 seconds from a smoke alarm battery going on a nearby property 😒 not Creates fault though.

A friendly welcome on arrival, stayed in the Badgers room a double which was clean and tidy and seemed more spacious without a tired wardrobe in the room. The shower/bath and area were perfectly adequate for our needs. A lovely comfy bed resulted in a good night's sleep which was followed by a great menu of breakfast choices, included in the price of stay. The breakfast we chose was delicious,and the dining room /cafe area was well decorated and lighted. Will stay at Creates on our next stay in the area for sure. Many thanks

Nothing not to like on this stay

Location and facilities where great. Breakfast was lovely.

Very strict house rules not to eat or drink on the bed but room only very small and nowhere else to sit therefore had to drink on the bed and felt nervous when doing so and couldn't quite relax. would prefer some breakfast cereals, yoghurts and juices to be left out for convenience as needed to wait each time for service and only came down late for breakfast not knowing this was the case otherwise would have allowed more time as had to rush breakfast and would have ordered more from the menu if time.

Great location in the centre of monmouth, delicious food both breakfast and in the evening in the amazingly decorated bistro. Loved the decor generally and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Comfortable bed!

A better outlook from the bedroom window would have been nice, but was less important for a short stay (2 nights). Some creaking floorboards from the room above but that's the beauty of old houses and there was a lovely little earplugs and eyemask set with the slippers and dressing gown, which I made good use of.

A lovely, friendly comfortable place to rest overnight on a trip from Cumbria to Cornwall. The rooms are comfortable, each with a different theme and ensuite. A cautionary note - the stairs are steep up to some of the rooms. Spotlessly clean with a choice of bath and shower - I love a bath! The check in was friendly - I just made it before closing on a Sunday but had been provided with comprehensive details of how to access my room if out of hours. Unfortunately, they don't serve dinner every night but I have eaten well on a previous stay. I have stayed before and would do so again.

Lovely and clean. Thought of everything for a comfortable stay: good fan in the room, nice welcome pack and teas/coffee and biscuit selection. Nice cocktails at the bar downstairs in a well decorated room. Lovely staff - organised a takeaway breakfast in the morning for us as we were checking out before breakfast serving times, and made us feel welcome.

Shower had a very low ceiling above it meaning my boyfriend couldn’t stand too comfortably. Tv was quite small.
