Hemples Lodge

The apartment is superbly appointed and very comfortable. Almost every detail has been considered. Breakfast was on time, well-cooked, and delicious. Host Marc was charming and kind, as well as being totally 'on it' in terms of the welcome, the introduction to the apartment etc. Also quick to spot that we left an Apple charger behind, meaning we could loop back and collect it before travelling too far - which was much appreciated. No hesitation in recommending Hemples Lodge.

There was nothing we didn't like.

very spacious, quiet area but easily accessible to city centre or nearby village. able to come & go as please with separate entrance to accommodation. Great wet room, large bed, separate lounge area.

in my honest opinion as fabulous as it was I think the breakfast should be included in the daily rate and not an extra. if we hadn’t of ordered breakfast (which was fabulous) we would of struggled to cook our own and would only of been able to have cereal, unless we went to a cafe nearby. However, this wouldn’t deter us staying here again.

Great location, close to the airport and has lovely surroundings with local places to eat a short walk away. Recommend the Indian restaurant. Private parking with locked gate. The lodge was beautiful with everything you need and the host Marc was a charming guy who made you feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Maybe could do with having brighter lights in the bathroom mirror area, struggled to see clearly when applying makeup.

Everything about hemples Lodge was perfect from the lovely drive down the country roads to get there, to the fantastic surroundings when we arrived we were met by the most perfect owner of this beautiful property marc who i have to say done everything to make our stay with them perfect from check in to departure and everything in between.The breakfast in the morning was delicious it was cooked to perfection couldn't have asked for anything more. If you are looking for a nice little get away for a quiet and chilled out break i highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

We didn't book breakfast on this occasion but have had this previously and it was delicious. My husband and I love this accommodation. It offers peace and quiet, comfort, privacy, space, feels luxurious, great location for feeling that you're away from everything but close to great places to eat in nearby Ponteland and easy to get to. The host offers the perfect balance of attentiveness and responsiveness whilst not being intrusive. Easy and secure parking and access. I honestly can't think of anything it doesn't cater for.

I genuinely can't think of any improvements that this accommodation needs to make; at no point in either of our stays in this accommodation did I want something that wasn't provided.

Fantastic property with a stunning bathroom. Easy to see the pride Marc and Emma have in the place. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with all communications and the added breakfast was a bonus well worth having. We used the lodge as a base to travel to St James' Park which was about 15 mins drive away. Overall a brilliant little stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hemples Lodge sits in beautiful surroundings that are so peaceful that relaxation fast follows you into this fantastic accommodation. Before our arrival Marc provided very clear instructions on how to ensure our arrival was straightforward, met us at the door and quickly explained where everything was and left us to enjoy our stay.

Nothing to dislike.

This was a gem of a find. A great location, not far from main road links, and the Airport in Newcastle, but sufficiently far from the town to feel more like a rural retreat. Great host, very warm welcome and a very high standard of accommodation. Great local pub too for high quality food. Will definitely visit again if I need somewhere to stay in this area.

Amazing property, much better than a small hotel room!! brilliant host and easy to find

only personal preference and only minor issue would be perhaps a microwave but again only personal preference and didn’t cause much trouble for our trip as the location is only a short journey away from shops/restaurants

We stayed in the West Wing, having previously stayed in the East Wing. The West Wing is superb (as the East Wing was). Spacious, comfortable, modern. A very comfortable bed, a terrific bathroom with a wet room shower and a sunken bath. A breakfast table, and a very comfortable sofa seating area. It has a fridge, a dressing room, two TVs, catch up, Netflix etc, an Xbox, a dvd and BluRay player. A coffee machine, as well as a kettle. Lovely views on both sides, the courtyard to one side, and fields and cows to the other. The breakfast was excellent. The host is fabulous, friendly, helpful but not intrusive. Hemples lodge is a fantastic place to stay.
