Location was amazing, room was great too. Rob & Sue were very accommodating and helpful in getting my girlfriend and I settled in. They went to great lengths making us comfortable and informing us of the neighborhood, city and all they had to offer - and all at a fair price. I highly recommend staying with them.

Only two things I didn't like were the size of the shower and lack of fan in the room. Other than that, it was fantastic. I may just be used to the way I do things at home because these were only small things.

It’s a perfect location to the Barbican, the welcome you receive is second to none. A really happy and welcoming place that feels like home. The breakfast is delicious, the black pudding has to be tried, all from a local butcher and cooked to bring out the flavours and texture.

There is nothing not to like. I stayed here several years ago and the continuity of the service and welcome the second time around did not disappoint. If and when I visit Plymouth again, I will be returning.

Everything was lovely and perfect. The people who run the property are lovely and are more than happy to cater for needs. I am disabled and have a vegan , gluten free diet and my walking frame wasnt a problem and I was offered a variety of breakfast options. The room has everything I needed and more and I was offered and booked taxis when needed. I could not have been happier and would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like

A wonderful cozy hotel with a great location. I had a single room and it was perfectly equipped for me - a comfortable bed, a separate bathroom. The owners of the hotel, Sue and Rob, are extremely nice people. They have created an atmosphere in which you feel not as a client, but as a guest of old friends. I have never felt so comfortable in any hotel. I would be happy to return to this hotel!

Rob and Sue welcomed us and ensured we were comfortable. The eggs benedict breakfast was incredible along with the tea selection. Location was perfect for the Barbican. Rob went above and beyond to help us with parking so we made it to our friends wedding on time. The guest house was very clean and well presented.

We paid for an ensuite bathroom, but the shower is actually next to the bed (!) and the toilet/sink is in another room via the hallway. Not a problem as such but worth mentioning. There was a low hum all night from some sort of electrical appliance - which made it difficult to sleep. (We we’re in one of the attic rooms)

Really nice owners, super attentive and easy going. They gave us great travel tips. The location was perfect. A five minute walk to the harbour, the Barbican main high street and the Hoe which is beautiful and overlooked the sea. The room was super clean the the towels smelt lovely. The room had all the nice touches.

The room is on the small side but isn't a problem unless you have limited mobility. Good value for money.

Excellent guest house. Travelling for work so a good nights sleep was important: room very quiet and bed very comfortable, amongst the best I’ve stayed in. Spotlessly clean. Unbeatable location: close to the south side pubs, the Barbican etc but on a quiet street. Some unique breakfast options. Hosts friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend especially to tourists.

Only thing I can think of is would be good if breakfast started earlier, earliest is 8am, although hosts kindly left out cereal and juice so not a problem.

I liked almost every aspect. I liked that its location allowed me to travel to other locations and sightings in Plymouth easily and even return for a nap. I liked the breakfast, although there were not many options but what was offered was presented excellent and tasted very good. The staff (Rob and Sue) were phenomenal from the moment of my arrival to when I left.

I honestly cannot think of anything I did not like, not at the moment at least.

Rob and Sue are friendly hosts, room was a good sized single with a lovely hot, powerful shower (important as I was in Plymouth to dive). Everywhere was (as on my previous stay 9 years ago!) spotlessly clean. I only had the chance to have one cooked breakfast as I had to leave early morning otherwise, but it was generous, tasty and well cooked. The location, just off the Barbican and Hoe is almost perfect.

Nothing about the hosts or premises. The bottle bank collectors come too early in the morning! Parking is difficult everywhere near Plymouth Hoe and Barbican and the Ringgo app is not good, so get a permit from Barbican Reach instead!

Great location just up a cobbled street from the main quayside. Very friendly welcome to our room overlooking the front street which was very quiet. Clean and tidy and comfy. Good breakfast to send us on our way in the morning. Kindly looked after our bags for a few hours while we wandered round Plymouth during the day. Thank you
