Good location for the Hoe and city centre. There was a very good choice available for breakfast which was generous in portion size. The bathroom was a decent size and the room itself had a good deal of floor space .

The room (20) could have done with offering a comfortable chair, perhaps kept alongside the wardrobe. The chair at the dressing table was far too hard to consider using it for a relaxing seat. The shower rail attached to the bathroom ceiling looked rather fragile and took some care with it when pulling the shower curtain round. The rooms we had were 19 and 20 but were on different levels of the hotel. Room 21 was the nearest to our double room.

Really close to the Hoe and as my trip was for the annual fireworks competition, the Grosvenor was very convenient! Bed was comfy. Plenty of wardrobe & drawer space, mirrors and lights.. The staff were lovely & very helpful. Breakfast was good!

I found it difficult to get the shower water pressure and temperature right as it was mixer taps over a bath. I would have preferred a shower cubicle to a bath, but that's just my preference. Could have done with some more hangers in the wardrobe. Also a plug nearer the bed would have been useful for phone charging and a comfy chair would have been preferred to the extra chest of drawers Ran out of milk both days, but Reception were happy to provide more. Maybe just leave a more generous amount to save having to bother the staff?

This is three Victorian period properties combined into one with all that entails - a bit of a maze, lovely traditional lounges with fireplaces, stucco ceilings, steep stairs up 5 half-landings. Full of character and very well looked-after. The location is excellent, 2 minutes from Hoe Park. Cleanliness in all areas is 11 out of 10! Great breakfast which includes cereals, Continental, cooked breakfast (including tasty veggie option), porridge, even fresh croissants and pains au chocolat, still warm... Non-dairy also available and impressive tea selection. Super start into the day!

I would have preferred my mattress to be harder, but they need to strike a balance between people wanting soft and hard mattresses, and this was fairly in the golden middle. The hotel was very busy on both mornings when I was there, the breakfast room is relatively small and it seemed too many people had turned up at the same time, so a few of us had a short wait in the Reception area before a table became available. Several people's cooked breakfasts took a long time to arrive, but were absolutely worth the wait - I would say, just make sure you're not in a rush to leave, and enjoy.

The staff was friendly upon arrival and all throughout our stay .. very accommodating due to room change to a more Accessible room for us due to having a baby. Great location and close to all places we wanted to visit. The place was clean and the rooms were of great standards .. everything we needed.

The only thing was the single bed Mattress.. could feel all the springs and was really uncomfortable. Me and my wife swapped because I couldn't get comfortable and had to put the spare blanket under the sheets to give extra protection against the springs. And even flipped the mattress to see if it was any better. That was the only thing that was an issue. The other bed was suitable.

We had a lovely welcome from the receptionist, check in was quick and easy. She answered all our questions and was very helpful. The Grosvenor is a beautiful period property with many original features, it was very clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect, just minutes from the Hoe and Barbican or the city center. We went to a concert at Central Park and got a taxi easily, managed to catch a bus back in time to see the last set of amazing fireworks. The room was quiet, with all the usual drink making facilities, hairdrier, TV etc, good shower with lots of hot water. The beds were a bit too soft for us, but personal taste. During the afternoon our towels had fallen off the towel rack into the loo, reception replaced them while we were out and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. We went for breakfast at 8.30 (as did most other guests!) we got the last table, but others had to wait in the lounge. Good continental spread, hot items cooked to order, my daughter had 'the works' and said it was very good. The staff coped exceptionally well given how busy it was, were polite and very efficient. We would definitely stay again, it was a fantastic location, clean, good price but the best thing was ALL the staff, very well done to them all! Thank you for a great stay, it was really nice to feel so welcome.

There was nothing to dislike!

The property is located almost right on the Hoe which is lovely, lots of people around walking their dogs, jogging, heading for the sea for a swim. The breakfast was superb! With self service for fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, croissants and pain au chocolate, fruit juices, teas and coffees. Hot food was made to order and the staff were lovely and helpful. We were visiting our son and there was an option to book for him to join us for breakfast at an extra fee. I've never noticed this option anywhere before and thought it was an excellent and thoughtful touch. The hotel was very clean and tidy. It's modern but with the original features still there, very complimentary decor.

The parking for the hotel is not great! There's space for about 5 cars at the back of the hotel, and we were lucky to get a space, but it's quite a big hotel. Other guests would have to pay to park on the street somewhere nearby! Our bed was quite low down, I kept thinking how my parents would manage with a bed that low to the ground. We wouldn't have minded too much if it had been extremely comfy but unfortunately it wasn't the comfiest bed in the world. I slept well but my husband complained that his back was sore following the stay.

What a lovely little gem! The Grosvenor was the prefect choice for our barbican night out. On arrival the place looked chic, super clean and had the friendliest receptionist. Our Room was a really good size and felt cosy. The bed was so comfortable to sleep in and the decor was lovely too. The location couldn't of been more perfect!! Luckily we got a space to park too which was a great bonus. This was truly a lovely place to stay

Just to be clear, this wouldn't stop me from booking again but a minor let down was the shower. it was outdated so didn't sit well and getting temp and pressure was hard.

I booked this accommodation for a friend and visited. He was really pleased and comfortable with the accommodation and mentioned how helpful, welcoming and friendly the staff was. I do think they got the time mixed up as I paid extra to arrive earlier and the wardrobe and windowsill was dusty. I’m sure this would have been sorted because the cleaner had a bit of a shock when we had arrived in the room and she was ready to go in and clean. Thank you so much, I would highly recommend this accommodation.

A little dusty but I’ve already mentioned this.

The breakfast at The Grosvenor Plymouth was excellent, particularly the full English. The ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection, making for a satisfying and delicious start to the day.

The Grosvenor Plymouth offers limited parking spaces with only five available at the rear of the hotel. Alternatively, guests may need to consider on-street parking, which can be expensive in the area. The Grosvenor features rooms spread across multiple floors, offering a diverse range of accommodation options. However, please note that there is no elevator available in the hotel.

It was a great atmosphere. All staff were excellent and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Great choice of food. Very clean property. The room was cleaned daily, which we didn't expect. We had a room that had a double bed and a single bed. Own bathroom. Quite spacious. Was quiet apart from regular noises from other people walking around in the room above us. (Not a complaint) Managed to get a parking space. They have some parking spaces on a first come, first served basis. The hotel was within walking distance from the main city centre and The Hoe. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. There is plenty to do depending on what you like..ie the National Aquarium. Walking around the Hoe.
