Albion House at Ramsgate

location was fantastic. decor was lovely. bathroom was luxurious. bed extremely comfortable. the dining area was nice and the evening food was very good but overpriced. breakfast was delicious and worth every penny. staff were brilliant, provided us with an excellent travel cot that was already set up for us and allowed us a very early check in.

parking was a slight issue as we were travelling with a four month old baby and had a lot of stuff to ferry across from a car park around the corner. the room was very dark at night, some lighting wasn’t working and the ‘big’ lights were very dim. The evening food was lovely but I felt it was extremely expensive for what it was. Breakfast was worth the money but we got charged for water, juice, tea and coffee. I wouldn’t normally have an issue with this of course, it’s just we weren’t given a drinks menu so assumed it was included. The menu even stated that guests get complimentary tea and coffee! the waitress said ‘would you like some water, can I get you an orange juice?’. Maybe I’m naive but it just felt complimentary when they offered it.

Super warm and friendly welcome on arrival, fabulous interior: classics with a modern twist. Loved my room with super high ceilings, 2 double doors that opened up onto a balcony with views of Ramsgate and the harbor/ocean. The bed was big and comfy, bathroom was spacious- the room had everything one needs including a fab selection of teas. I felt at home and got a good night’s sleep- felt rested and refreshed the next morning. The restaurant and the food were Michelin worthy. Definitely the best place to stay in Ramsgate - thanks Team Albion, I’ll be back!

All was great!

After a disappointing start to our first family holiday, we found this hotel last minute and booked it. Within 15 minutes of booking, we turned up and they had the room ready for us (including a cot for our little one)! What had started as a disastrous holiday quickly turned around, as we were welcomed by the amazing restaurant manager, who instantly made us feel more relaxed and looked after. Travelling with a young baby is never easy, but the team couldn't be more accomodating. Every day they checked in on us to see how we were and it made it a very personal experience. Amazing team and an amazing hotel! We will definitely be recommending and also returning on our next holiday!

Excellent location and stunning views! Facilities were beautiful and staff incredibly friendly. Although hotel is dog friendly - they are peculiar about dogs not being allowed in furniture which includes all sofas and beds. Nonetheless, a bed, toy, and water bowl was provided for our doggie which was highly appreciated.

The staff were very warm, personable, and engaging, The ambience in the general lounge area was wonderful, and the service was prompt and excellent. Location was great, very close to the sea front and all the best pubs and restaurants. On this occasion we didn't have an evening meal, so can't comment.

Loved the character of the place and wonderful views from our room. Everything was beautifully clean and the decor was wonderful. Food was excellent quality. Large portions so my husband had to help me eat it not that he minded. Would definitely stay again when coming to visit family. Staff helpful and smiley. Arrived earlier than thought but our room was ready.

Everything was as described but if we had of been staying for longer would have needed more accessible sockets as in one to plug hairdryer in near sitted table mirror.

The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, the dining room was great, comfortable and with stunning sea views. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm, the en-suite bathroom was cleaned every day and fresh linen provided daily. Tea and coffee supplied in the room. We ended each day in the very comfortable bar where the service was excellent.

The bathroom was exceptional and clean. The view was amazingly beautiful with large windows. The staff attitude inspired me to feel welcomed and the meal was exquisite 😋

No free parking for the property. I was left with the anxiety that I was going to get a ticket for the public parking across the road. This was mitigated by staff reassurances

What a fabulous, historic hotel. The staff is amazing and the food superb. The staff was like family, we hated to leave. I would encourage anyone who is interested in the area to consider this fine establishment. It was like staying in a private club.

The only thing I didn't like is that we could not stay longer.

Breakfast and Dinner were very good; Location has a commanding view of the port; Staff throughout were great and the bathroom was well stocked with a great shower.

Ramsgate itself has seen better days so this hotel becomes the destination itself; there isn't a great deal to tempt the tourist outside. Parking is a problem if you don't snag a free space.
