I booked this by accident. Broadstairs and Ramsgate have a few ‘Royal’ places to stay. I did not realise that I had booked a room with a shared bathroom - devastation. I tried to find somewhere else. Every room was over a mile away to where I wanted to be. Every where I would have stayed was booked. Any single travelling females, I have to say this is a very safe place to stay even when shower/toilet facilities are shared. These facilities were modern and spotlessly clean. The share is with 2 others. I did not see the other sharing guess’. When I thought about it I realised that we share toilets when we go to restaurants and we share shower facilities at a swimming pool. Sharing these facilities when travelling really isn’t so bad. This stay has changed my view. My room was a single room with a sink - the room was spotlessly clean. The usual tea/coffee/hot chocolate. There was still water and a couple of biscuits which I was not expecting when I initially saw my room. I had such a good sleep. Really comfy bed and really quiet. What really adds to staying at this place are the staff - just lovely and couldn’t do more for you. The ‘Yacht club’ is not just a fancy name. It is actually associated with a Yacht Club. There are some beautiful brass historical artefacts in this very small and welcoming hotel. The only reason I am not giving it a 10/10 is that there was scaffolding outside my bedroom window. To the best of my memory this was not explicitly stated before I paid for my room or in the booking.com description when I later viewed it, but my actual stay was 10/10. I will be back.

The scaffolding outside my window and not knowing what time the work people would turn up or whether they would turn up at all.

A room with a sea view is a must. Hotel is situated just outside the main town but a short distance to walk to most places. Plenty of bars and restaurants all around. There is a reasonably priced car park very near and park on level 2 for a short walk to the hotel entrance. There is also a guest fridge but you need to find it yourself as we weren't told about it at check in. The photos of the rooms do not do them justice and ours room 2 was perfect.

We felt a bit awkward in the downstairs bar as the atmosphere was not very welcoming. However both ladies behind the bar were very friendly.

From check-in to check-out my three-night stay was perfect. Really friendly staff, exceptionally clean, quiet and very comfortable rooms. My room was a 'shared toilet and shower' rather than en-suite, and it was great. Kettle in room with ample tea, coffee and milk and if you run out of milk there is some in the fridge on the landing outside the room (along with plates and cutlery if needed). The building is interesting with lots of maritime curios dotted around. And there's a nice bar with harbour and sea views. Just wonderful. I'm already thinking about when I can get back here!

Nothing. Everything was great.

Friendly and helpful manger, clean and well-maintained room. Location is slightly away from the noisiest part of town, so was peaceful and I slept well. Interesting nautical pictures and memorabilia in the public areas give it an old-fashioned, cosy feeling. Nice place :)

Seem to have Netflix in the room, which is great, but couldn't get it to connect. Very minor point though which is hardly worth mentioning, as overall this felt like a really well-run and good-value place to stay. Would have liked to visit the bar, but I was out in the evening - hopefully another time!

Excellent location overlooking the marina. Lovely being able to take drinks on the terrace on an amazing Jubilee weekend and watch the boats arrive and depart the marina. It felt special to get an insight into the Yacht club. The bedroom was clean and adequate for a one night stay. Unfortunately no views from my bedroom as inner courtyard facing with frosted glass. Friendly and effecient staff and straight forward check in and check out arrangements. No food at location but very good restuarants immediately below terrace.

The bathroom was an internal room and had a noisy toilet set up and surprisingly noisy shower.

Good location and we managed to find a free parking space a few streets away. Staff were friendly and professional. Lovely bar and terrace with sea and marina views. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Nice shower and toiletries. Added bonus was a fridge, cutlery and china on the landing, available for customer use.

There are a lot of stairs at this property. Not a problem for us, but could be for others, especially with luggage. The toilet had a macerator, which can be a bit noisy. Not a good idea to flush in the middle of the night.

We love this hotel! Our first time in a sea view room and the view over the harbour was spectacular. The location is excellent as you're near a car park, buses, harbour, shops and very good restaurants. Most important - the hotel staff are amazing! They all go out of their way to help you. They're so friendly and welcoming and always take time to chat and advise you. The lady in charge who checked us in was so nice and always had a laugh with us. She let us in earlier than check in time and also looked after our luggage after we'd checked out. The hotel is well maintained and our room was warm, large, very clean and comfortable. The hotel provides a fridge, toiletries and tea making facilities and these were replenished. Excellent hotel - we will return!

Nothing needs improving really - just wish we could have stayed longer and could stay more often.

Room was very clean and pleasant. It’s in a very good location by the seafront, with a fantastic view of the harbour. It’s very close to good restaurants, cafes, etc. The staff were lovely, very friendly and warm. I might be coming back next year as the convention I went to is going to be run in the same location.

I don’t think it is good that they don’t have any onsite staffing overnight. I forgot to ask them if I could leave my luggage while I went out in the morning on checkout day, but could not get hold of anyone to ask them. I left my luggage in a quiet corner, but lucky they came in before I left.

Immaculately clean. Power available by the bed for my phone charger. Friendly staff, pleasant bar, great view from the terrace at the front of the building. Very easy access from the nearby Municipal Car Park.

No parking of their own. Two of the rooms (including the one I was in) had a shared toilet and shared shower. No view from the window in my room - unless you were particularly interested in air conditioners! No breakfast available (though there are nearby cafes, so not too much of a problem).

The hotel was situated in an ideal location. Although our room did not have a view of the marina I could imagine that it would be stunning. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Wonderful customer service. The room was clean and had everything you could want.

The only negative about the place was the lack of parking. Otherwise it was an amazing place to stay
