The Tempest Arms

The rooms were lovely and cosy! Very clean. Our room had everything and more than we needed.

The breakfast wasn't the best unfortunately. I ordered pancakes and syrup, but it didn't come with syrup like it said on the menu, it was honey instead which I don't think pairs well with pancakes. Also the full English was okay. The tomato wash mush, bacon could have been cooked a bit more and the beans were cold.

Loved everything, the room was stunning. The whole building was lovely! All designed to a very high standard. Food was absolutely amazing both dinner and breakfast. Staff were so lovely and the girls on reception were the most polite and helpful hotel staff ive ever come across. Honestly we loved everything about it so much so we are looking at booking our wedding there. Already cant wait to come back.

It was like home from home. The ambiance was so cosy and welcoming as indeed all the staff were. The food was amazing and great value for money. The room was comfortable and warm. The old thing I would fault is the furniture and the decor is a bit tired looking. However they are closing in the new year to do a complete refurbishment. I hope they will keep the original features though.I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and we are definitely going to return there.

beautiful rooms and great choice of colour, loved the cake on arrival and fresh milk ( nobody likes the little cartons) the grounds were nice we enjoyed a beer in the beer garden - overall one of my favourite rooms Iv staying up to now

*pillows were a little too high and gave me a cranky neck. * taxi company that was recommended by the tempest arms. ripped us off so that was very disappointing ( station taxis)

Good room with comfortable bed and pillows. Able to control heat a plus. Friendly staff always happy to help. Room cleaned everyday which we were not expecting. Cakes on reception was a nice touch but unsure if they were suitable for particular diets so didn't have any.

Breakfast could be better and shower cubicle in rooms too small for the bigger person!

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the terrace from our room, enjoyed sitting there with a glass of wine, very relaxing. Our evening meals were excellent, the Sea Bass was cooked perfectly and very tasty, the bar staff and waiting staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice of cereals, toast and cooked food.

The Tempest is simply stunning. Newly refurbished to such a high standard that leaves for perfection through and through. We stayed in Beckside 1, simply stunning with a beautiful stand alone bath. Breakfast was perfect, lots to chose from and cooked to perfection. Didn’t want to leave and will certainly return.

Great location with amazing views close to Skipton in quiet country area, Breakfast was great staff helpful and overall a great stay, Would recommend location and hotel

No air conditioning, as the temperature over 35 degrees room very warm, the diner we had was good but the prawns were very poor on seafood platter(obviously thawed from frozen( tasted very watery no flavour, Rest of meal was fine.

Lovely comfortable and well appointed rooms (newly refurbished), good pub, food and drinks and friendly staff. Nice little touches such as free cake at checkin and fresh milk for room.

Food was good but service at breakfast could be quicker. There is some road noise heard from the bedrooms so light sleepers might struggle.

A truly exceptional place to stay, in a quiet location just of the Skipton-Clitheroe road (A59). Spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Excellent breakfasts with several menu options. Cosy bar and lounge with a decent range of beers and wines by the glass. We had an evening meal one night and, not surprisingly, it was excellent with ample choices. The staff, however, were the highlight of our stay, every last one of them was courteous, helpful and friendly and clearly enjoying their job.

Just wish we had been staying longer! Would really struggle to complain about anything.
