Rooms are clean and spacious with all the needed amenities. Such a dog friendly environment in the pub, restaurant and hotel, which makes a huge difference to walkers like us who just want to take our pooch away for new sniffs. Brilliant location in a lovely little village. Beer garden is huge! Main menu food was really good - I highly recommend the almond & pesto linguine. Breakfast was lovely and the chef catered to our specific allergies and personal preferences. Full English was amazing and the vegetarian option was delicious! Big shout-out to the lovely owner, and to Dani for her smiley service. We will be returning in the future.

The breakfast was fine, although when we both needed the same cereal we had to ask for a second packet (there were 4 different packets per table). There was no muesli option though. The first morning we had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - delicious. No salmon available though the next morning. The evening meal was very good. The bathroom had an excellent shower but limited space to put our things, and it was gloomy in there so no good for makeup.

The room was on the small side, and they could have made more use of the space by having bedside drawer cabinets. Basically there were no drawers to put things in so we lived out of our suitcases. The "wardrobe" was half filled with some bedding so hanging space was limited. The coffee maker (using pods) had no instructions and my wife (who is usually quite tolerant of coffee) said it was awful. The mirror over the desk wasn't much use since there was no light to help my wife put makeup on. She ended up with a balancing act by the window (good job it's summer). If you want to have your room "made up" then you need to put the note on you door handle - there was no mention of this so we ended up with it not being made up even though they knew we had gone out!

Really lovely pub, Julie and the team were fantastic very friendly and helpful, we had breakfast and ate in the pub in the evenings and the food and service was excellent. Very good choice at breakfast time and the evening menu is varied with roasts on a Sunday as well. The whole place was clean and well presented, our room was spacious and clean, beds comfortable, shower was good, tea and coffee facilities in the room which was great. The pub is also dog-friendly. Gargrave is a pretty village and only a quick drive or train journey to Skipton. There are many walking tracks into the Dales if you don't want to drive. There are a couple of other pubs in the village and an indian. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definately go back.

The front rooms are a little noisy with traffic in the mornings and a couple of shelves in the ensuite would have been useful. Otherwise everything was great.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean and modern. The evening menu offered a lot of choice. We arrived on quiz night which was extremely good luck for us. Breakfast was excellent - genuinely freshly cooked. Comfortable bed, tasteful decor, and everything on hand to make you feel at home. The bedrooms had names which made it sound special. The whole building felt cosy and well-cared for. The staff were charming and very helpful.

There was not much space at either side of the bed in the Linton room between the bed and the wall. Anyone of even moderate girth would find it very hard to squeeze into the space. You couldn't sit on the edge and lean forward to put your slippers on without hitting your forehead.

Newly refurbished throughout. Stylish decorations with good finish. Had everything we wanted. Comfortable bed, good shower, tea/coffee etc. Breakfast good. Had a meal in the pub both evenings. Wouldn’t rave about the food. Portions could have been a bit bigger and the menus made the good sound a lot fancier than it actually was. For example, I had Korean chicken burger, which turned out to just be breaded chicken in a bun with a bit of iceberg and mayo and a few spring onions. The sticky Korean dressing was almost non existent and couldn’t taste it at all. Would definitely recommend the accommodation but wouldn’t go out of my way to go for a meal.

The venue was absolutely beautiful and our room for exceeded our expectations in both the size and the decor..the bed was soooo comfortable too. The staff were so lovely, welcoming and all looked really happy throughout our visit. Breakfast make or breaks it for me..the Old Swan did not disappoint, one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had, good quality produce excellently cooked and presented. Our only regret is that it was such a flying visit, we will definitely be returning and recommend anyone visiting skipton or the surrounding area to pay the Old Swan a visit .

That we we didn't get to enjoy the facilities for a little longer.

Very friendly and welcoming staff especially Julie? the manager. Location was perfect for us as we were in Gargrave to meet up with friends on a canal boat holiday and the Old Swan is a five minute walk to the canal. The food was excellent with a very good, varied menu. We were genuinely spoilt for choice! The hotel has recently been refurbished so the whole hotel felt fresh and clean. Very happy that the bedroom had a magnifying mirror as I had inadvertently left mine at home!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

This place is perfect. The people are brilliant and the whole place has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is a building of 2 halves. Walk into the bar and its like walking into your local. The staff are warm and welcoming, as are the locals. Into the food area and you are transported into a modern, high quality restaurant with amazing food. Upstairs to a beautiful room with all the amenities you could ask for and more. I would highly recommend the old Swan if you are visiting Yorkshire.

The rooms are just like the photos. Modern, very clean, well equipped. One even had a Nespresso machine in it. The showers are amazing and have a normal head and a huge rain shower. The toiletries smell great and it's warm and cosy. The bed was amazing, slightly soft if you like a firm mattress. The duvet is thick and warm You can't hear noise from the pub, just the odd resident coming in or out. Great selections of drinks and the food is superb, I've eaten here a lot. Wonderful pub anyway and the rooms just top it off. They have set the standard now.

I'm thinking but can't think of anything.

On arrival we were greeted by a member of staff. She was very polite and had us to our rooms very promptly. She couldn't have been more helpful. Showed us how to work the tv, checked we had an iron etc.

On booking the room through Booking.com, I received a breakfast with my room, however my friend didn't with his and had to pay for his breakfast. My room was for 2 people, so therefore 2 breakfasts. It wouldn't have been a big lose to have given my friend a free breakfast as the cost was the same for each room. the breakfast was excellent though.
