Dalesgate Hotel - Self Check In

Room was perfectly acceptable for a budget hotel and fine for a one night stay. I was leaving very early in the morning before breakfast so had asked for a breakfast tray in the room. They left plenty of food - a choice of cereals, fruit, cheese, bread and croissants plus flasks containing chilled juice and milk.

Bathroom window was jammed open and toilet flush was difficult to operate. Bathroom could also do with a proper clean - quite a bit of mould round the shower tray. It's on a main road so traffic noise is a problem from quite early until quite late. I was also woken at 02:45 by other guests thumping around the corridors and repeatedly slamming doors.

The hotel went above and beyond in every sense the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels fresh bedding daily the heating was hot also hot water wasn't scrimped on. I was up and away before breakfast everyday so they made me a packed meal to take with me my clothes was folded and room was warm when I arrived everyday towels fresh clean on the radiators my room had a bath and shower extremely comfy super king bed having stayed in keighley for the last 3 months this is by far the best place I have stayed.

Nothing everything is good just wish the restaurant was open at the hotel as feel that if the food was as good as the packed lunch I'd be on to the best hotel in keighley

Room was spacious, and had everything we needed. We were allocated a ground floor room, as we requested. A later check-out was readily agreed. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and well-presented. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and attentive. The self check-in was easy, given the comprehensive pre-arrival information. Very good parking right outside the entrance.

One of the reading lights in our room had a defective switch. This was reported, and we were told it would be attended to. The bed was too soft for our taste.

Although the Dalesgate Hotel is located on one of the main roads out of Keithley I was not disturbed at all by this as I had a rear-facing room overlooking the car park and on the ground floor, (only one flight of stairs from the car park, a factor for handicapped persons). Similarly the breakfst room was also on the ground floor so again no staircase to go down. One can take one's overnight lugage to the front door and then collect it by car before leaving and this saves carrying luggage downstairs to the car park. It was conveniently close to a large restaurant with a good carvery for under 10 UK pounds, so all in all a good place to stay in Keithley.

Very little, it was just a bit difficult to find in the dark

The room was clean, the keypad entry was convenient and the breakfast was tasty and filling. All in all, very good value for a lovely room.

The only things were the steps down into the bathroom area felt a little treacherous (a design flaw rather than anything the fault of the hotel), and the bed was perhaps a little soft - a matter of preference really!

Breakfast was too early, so missed it. would be better if a menu was provided on arrival and the option of a tray in room, as a knock on the door would have woken us up. (phone battery died during night so alarm didn’t go off and woke up at 2 mins past 9, so too late) So then had to go elsewhere to buy breakfast. It could do with a sign on the road indicating where parking lot was. Also would be nice if some information on local amenities was provided , as we had to go and ask where we could go to get an evening meal. Also all the prices need updating as when looking on line for a place it came up at £62 but when pressed link, was actually charged £79 and on their website it says £70? All just little things but could do with being addressed.

The hotel is in a quiet area out of town, served by up to 6 buses an hour from Keighley bus station (routes 62, 66, M4). Get off at Ferncliffe Drive and the hotel is a few yards away. Breakfast was an exercise in efficiency, with about 20 guests turning up at the same time, and all being served quickly - I was most impressed. The staff were really friendly, and there was a cosy atmosphere. Items such as biscuits were replaced daily, and the room serviced.

The decor is a bit dated in places, but perfectly clean and well-maintained. There are not many concessions to modernity! The breakfast sausage was a bit bland and tasteless, but the rest was good.

Value for money was great--it isn't luxury accommodations, but you can't expect that at such a great price. The room was adequate (though the dormers were a bit of a pain dodging them all the time), it was dog friendly, the bed was comfortable (including the pillows, which is rare for me), the shower had hot water, and the breakfast was great. I also appreciated the large parking lot behind the hotel. The proprietors were friendly and hard-working as well. We were lucky to get a room looking back towards the hills and it was stunning to wake up to.

Not much (for the price point). We appreciated good accommodations at a reasonable price where we could stay with our pup. Some of the bathroom fixtures were worn, but that is to be expected. I just wish they had a bit more noise insulation, but it wasn't a big issue.

The Hotel staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help accomodate our stay. The breakfast was also real good quality and again the staff were first class. The room was very clean and had everything in it to make our stay really comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and will definitely be staying again. Kind regards Lee

Everything was perfect

What's not to like, friendly and welcoming staff, extremely accommodating even finding my partner a spare room at last minute notice. Not to mention the care provided to myself, my family and my pet was amazing, 10/10 for me!

Absolutely nothing, at very most it was a tiny bit loud at night but that's no fault of the owners just some rowdy guests.
