Hilton At St Georges Park

Exceptional customer service from Majeed (?) who checked us in when we arrived late on Saturday evening, 16/9/23, having been completely let down by the LUXE APARTMENTS in Derby at the very last minute (I.e. when we were sitting outside the location with our two kids of 10 and under having driven all the way from London!). We were able to make a last minute booking at the Hilton and he was so welcoming and so helpful. We hadn't realised that the booking for 4 only allowed for one sofa-bed and Majeed very kindly gave us a free upgrade without a word of complaint. All the staff were super helpful and friendly- would highly recommend it!!

On entry the staff was lovely and we was quickly directed to our room, I requested to have a little touch to our room as it was a birthday, they succeeded and the little touch made it even more welcoming. Our stay, the room was as expected, including a very comfy bed and clean throughout. The facilities, the pool and other facilities were just what we needed, however times were limited for drink and food. The breakfast was filling and had a great selection for everyone. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

Opening and closing times for some of the facilities were short. If they were packages available that joined with booking a room and the spa would have been even better.

The facility mirrored with the England memorabilia, icons and spacious quality feel made this no ordinary hotel. Loved the games room. Gym and swimming pool/steam/sauna were excellent. Checking was 24 hour and the breakfast was an eggcellent variety. For the price it was amazing value and would stay there again

No biscuits with tea in room. No wet clothes dryer in changing room and most importantly no cold drinking water by swimming pool for some reason it was warm

Had a wonderful stay. Staff were helpful, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. You are immersed in football the moment you step through the revolving doors but it is all done very tastefully. My husband and son loved having the opportunity to play on a 5-a-side pitch in the evening.

Booking a slot for the swimming pool was a faff; you can’t book until check-in at 3pm and there are limited times when children can use the pool. I was told over the phone that if we were to arrive any later than 3pm it might already be fully booked. I absolutely understand the need to avoid overcrowding and make the pool a pleasant experience for other guests, but not being able to book over the phone on the day of arrival meant that we had to change our trip plans and get there early to avoid disappointed children later on.

Beautiful place, well landscaped and tended outside; the hotel was spotless and stylish, our room had everything we needed. My request for no feather pillows was dealt with and I was even asked about the feather duvet being changed. Housekeeping were lovely ladies, who cheerfully swapped the allergy causing duvet on the bed for a feather free one!

I could not find any tea/coffee making equipment for a while, wasn't expecting them to be in a drawer; a small sign would be helpful to locate it! Water bottles in the room would be nice too...

The location was good. We were looking for somewhere quiet, which is what we got. The reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was really delicious both mornings and we appreciated the large variety. The size of the room was good too.

There was a small urine stain on the toilet seat, which we had to wipe off, but everything else was clean. The shower was a bit small. When we visited the Health Club and Spa, the woman at reception was a bit rude and unwelcoming.

We liked everything. It was my daughter's 28th birthday and she was presented with a chocolate dessert with berries after our meal in the restaurant, another plate delivered to our room and a specially made mocktail at breakfast. The staff on reception, in the spa and in the restaurant were very accommodating and gave exceptional customer service . The spa facilities were great, the surroundings perfect to walk around. It really is my favourite Hilton to date!

The bar service was a little slow and drinks seemed expensive

We enjoyed our stay. My football loving kids were very happy. We also played football in court . Grounds are beautiful and breakfast was amazing. Staff are nice. Would love to go back if pool timings were better.

Didn't like cold water jacuzzi. And strict timings in pool . You are only allowed 45 mins. Only thing that would stop us from going back as we like to spend some time in pool. Most places we stay at are alot more relaxed. Restaurant food was extremely disappointing.

Football related - incredible customer service from staff - very friendly - very helpful - love the history I wanted to personally say thank you to Chloe, Collette on reception - big shout out to Jon chef for personally doing through the menu and saying what my boyfriend could and couldn’t have. Sarah Smith for bits and pieces in the local area and then Magda - dinner reservation advice.

There was nothing I didn’t like apart from that I couldn’t stay longer haha

Breakfast was delicious, great choice and staff lovely. Facilities were fab and made the stay. Loads of parking and we were able to walk around the grounds. Good and drink reasonable prices too.

There were dirty towels and dressing gowns left in the wardrobe from previous guests. The drain in the shower didn’t work very efficiently and the tray started to fill. The sink also had a large crack in it.
