Castlecroft Bed and Breakfast

Castlecroft has an excellent location with a pleasant walk into the city centre and easy access to the castle. It is close to the main routes into Stirling and easy to find. Laura is a really charming and helpful host. She serves a terrific breakfast with good choice. Her recommendations for places to eat were appreciated. We had our own small patio outside- a lovely feature Parking at the B&B is straightforward and really useful. Soundproofing between rooms was excellent- it was very quiet.

The bathroom in our room was very close to the bottom of the bed with a slightly squeaking door so a bit noisy in the night!

What can I say about Laura other than she is simply an awesome hostess. We had a delay in our flight and the check in time is 8pm. She texted me asking for our arrival time and I knew then we would be arriving late, around 9pm. She graciously met us at the door, and offered us tea even though it was way past time. How nice that was, but we politely declined as we were tired. She showed us to our room, so cute, well appointed with a garden view. Heaven. It was roomy enough for 3 people, which was nice. She gave us a tour, made sure we were happy with the room, and we signed up for breakfast in the morning. She cooks breakfast for you on the spot- and you can customize what you want from the offerings. French Press coffee- heaven! I woke up to the birds singing, which is one of my favorite things. The property is so pretty and well cared for, and every little detail was attended to. You are welcome to walk around, she has a great reading/ gathering area in the living room too if you want to hang and chill. Absolutely the best host we had on our entire trip. We felt like family to her.

The bathroom is small, but that is pretty common and a very minor complaint for sure.

we loved everything-the room was large, location perfect, Laura’s hospitality was beyond fantastic - she was truly welcoming, attentive and caring!!! she offered us a coffee from the moment we stepped in :-) we arrived earlier and Laura was kind and caring to drive back to her B and B in order to let us in. Laura’s choice of the great quality products for breakfast and her cooking skills are superb. we can’t wait to come back and stay only there. it feels cozy and warm in Castlecroft. Thank you very much!!!

everything was PERFECT!!!

Localisation is great, just at the bottom of the Stirling Castle. 15 minutes walk to the centre of the town. Property itself very clean, decorated with taste and to make you feel comfy and cosy. Lounge spacious with beautiful views. Room very comfy, clean and made to perfection. Dining room nice decorated with relaxing music on the background. Delicious breakfast made of local and fresh products and homemade bread- outstanding. Car park available on site.

That we only stayed one night, we wish we had stayed longer, this was definitely a highlight

We stayed for one night, but would have stayed longer had we been able to. Great location, lounge with a fabulous view. Quiet area just under the Castle Warm welcome, lovely decorated room, comfy bed. Exceptional breakfast, fabulous selection, including home made proper porridge served with honey and cream, and home made bread. Great host(Laura) goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Can honestly say we think it's the best B&B we have stayed in. Would not hesitate to return next time we come to Stirling. 10/10

Nothing to not like

The hospitality we received was perfect, everything was clean, with a perfect room design, warm and inviting, the rooms are very comfortable and pleasant, perfectly furnished, they have everything you need. Laura, the owner of the place, is a special person, knows how to give her guests all the possible pampering and a good feeling. this is the most wonderful place we have been (and we have been almost all over the world) Thank you Laura, you are wonderful.

We had a warm welcome by Laura the owner of the place. For a change it was nice to meet faces rather than keys waiting in the safe. The location was excellent, the atmosphere was very homely, the breakfast was delicious, prepared and served by the Laura. Without a doubt a good and pleasant hospitality experience. Next time we would love to stay again.

The room was a bit too small.

The breakfast was outstanding. I especially loved the banter with Laura. She had a wonderful selection of cold and hot options. It was also very enjoyable talking with the other couples staying there.

There was nothing that we didn't like, except maybe the hills. We were not in the best shape; however, the scenery was so beautiful that it made the pain of walking all over Sterling more bearable.

The B&B has a wonderful location just below the castle and within easy walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The B&B is very comfortable with lovely art on the walls and a spacious living room. Our room was well appointed and spotless, and the breakfast was excellent and prepared to request. Laura is a wonderful host, friendly and very kind. Would highly recommend Castlecroft.
