The stay at Drum Farm B&B was lovely from start to finish. Everyone who I met were great and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect - they even checked out my car for me as I had a little scare in it and they wanted me to feel safe on the journey home. The room itself was cute and country with a beautiful view and the bed... the bed was like a giant marshmallow! I will need to replace mine at home with one as comfy as that! I opted to have breakfast but I was a little worried as not many b&b's cater for vegans. I need not have worried, their selection was amazing! And I can't end this without saying how beautiful the doggos and other animals were. The lil staffies gave me a wonderful welcome. Thank you for making it such a pleasant stay 😊

We found this place extremely difficult to find. 3 different GPS's gave us 3 different locations, none of which were correct. We also had no cell phone coverage but after quite some time we did get coverage and were told quite abruptly we couldn't arrive before 1600 despite earlier requesting a check-in between 1500 & 1600hrs and nothing to say our request was not possible, When we did arrive (at 1600hrs) again we were abruptly told park 'over there and wait'. Apparently the lady who greeted us was not the owner and when the owner arrived, she was much more pleasant and quite delightful and helpful. Our stay improved considerably with a nice warm, quiet and comfortable room, good WiFi and a very nice breakfast.

I feel better, more concise and accurate location details would assist any newcomers not familiar with the area. Note: we DID like the quiet location once found.

Jessica, the host, was fantastic and could not do enough to make our stay brilliant. If you want an inner town location, look elsewhere but for a rural, remote luxury B&B, Drum Farm is worth a stay. The bed was large and comfy, large tv in the room, all very crisp & clean. There are 5 rooms available and they share a communal dining area which is stocked with tea’s, coffees, microwave etc. This extension to the farm is joined but segregated for the privacy of all. For an evening meal, we can highly recommend the Scarecrow gastro bar, very reasonable and great service. The drive to the Scarecrow is very picturesque indeed. We highly recommend Drum Farm and would not hesitate staying there again.

There was not anything we did not enjoy. On our 2,000 mile road trip we stayed in 8 B&B’s in total and Drum Farm has ranked on top for us.

Breakfast excellent, everything cooked well (personally hate underdone sausage and bacon). Loved the glass bottled OJ. I’m a big fan of tinned tomatoes instead of beans if they’re was anything I could possibly suggest to improve the overall experience 😉

Not much tbh, would’ve loved to have spent more time there and explored. Scenery is fantastic and although 20 mins from Stirling feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. A slightly softer bed and absolutely no midges if I’m being ridiculously fussy but we can’t have everything eh?

Beautiful location with stunning scenery all around. Genuine friendly and personal welcome that is as rare as the exceptional location. Jessica and her family could not have been any more helpful. We were inspired to walk much further than ever on walks that were nothing short of devine despite (and at times because of) a range of weather that included rain, snow, sleet, hail and sunshine.

Found from a search for ‘self-catering’ on Booking.com, we failed to read the details that would have shown this was limited to microwave and mini-grill. Nonetheless, with inventiveness and items lent us by the owner, we ate very well despite our error and a bit of initial misguidance from the app.

Absolutely fantastic place, excellent value for money, really friendly hostess that makes you feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and the Breakfast is out of this world. Meat for breakfast is sourced from the local butcher and is cooked fresh every day. The rooms are lovely and clean and exceptionally quiet at night. Can't wait to go back. For all the potential travellers out there reading this review, please don't take any notice of the negative reviews, it really is a special place and worth a visit, so book now you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful location, everything well taken care of with a very tasteful decoration. Several options for breakfast which were delicious. Jessica was the most agreeable host and was very understanding of the mess caused by our furry companion. Very close to Sterling, Glasgow and not far from Edimburgh and Loch Lomond it was a perfect base to explore the area. And it was so peaceful at night...

NOTHING TO DISLIKE.... It is indeed a drive through narrow roads but if that is going to be an issue for people they will miss on a beautiful spot (and the drive is also very pitoresque)

Lovely Location. A 300 year old converted stables. Staff very friendly and incredibly helpful. All the rooms are on the ground floor. Although there are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, there was a very well stocked drinks station in the dining area along with a microwave and a small oven and plenty of crockery and cutlery. My room was quite small but the bed was very comfy. A variety of breakfast items were available. I had porridge and a plate of mixed fruit, both of which were delicious.

There were no facilities for the disabled person. There was no chair in my room. To watch the TV you needed to sit at the top of the bed as it was so high up on the wall. I ended up sitting on the bedside locker, which was not ideal.

Very clean and comfortable with a friendly and helpful owner. Seemed quirky at first until we got to know the layout and the protocols. Excellent choices for Breakfast and we really appreciated being able to make hot drinks etc. Good delivery service for ordering our evening meal: the nearest Pub or Restaurant was several miles away - too far after a long drive.

Narrow uneven access road but plenty of parking spaces
